Summary: Meeting Dr.Carson Beckett…or No More Big Ass Needles
************
Dr. Carson Beckett looked up from the computer he was working on as the two newest residents of Atlantis walked into the infirmary. He heard Xander Harris growl softly in annoyance as he pulled his blond companion behind him.
“No! I’m fine! I don’t need to see him…come on Xander…” Spike said.
Xander Harris and William the Bloody from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Carson was still trying to get his head round that as were many of the other people from Earth were.
Carson listened with more than a little amusement as Xander said, “Spike this was our first mission through the Stargate. Since finding out the sunlight in this galaxy doesn’t effect you. Which really makes no sense what so ever and it’s not like I thought it was going to be a cake walk. I mean with our luck and all…But when the natives of MPX3-666 found out you were not the god, you *tried* to set yourself up as,” the last was said with no little amount of sarcasm, “you now have a spear through your stomach!”
At that Caron jump up and pushed aside the curtain he was using to block off the space he had claimed as an infirmary office. Once he saw Spike he could only exclaim, “Lad, you’re bleedin’ all over my floor!”
Spike snorted, “You have a wonderful grasp of the obvious.” Spike looked at Xander and asked, “Whelp can’t you just yank it out? I mean it’s just a flesh wound. No reason to bother the good doctor.”
“A flesh wound,” Xander said with something akin to amazement, “you have a spear though your stomach!” Xander repeated because he was sure that Spike was missing that. How though, Xander wasn’t sure.
Before Spike could reply to him, Carson spoke up, “Let’s get you cleaned up and that thing out of you,” then with a slyly grin said, “I’ve never done an operation on a vampire before this just be interesting!”
Spike went into game face growling at Carson causing the doctor to step back a pace.
Xander snickered, “Well, it’s going to be an educational experience I’m sure.”
