The Greatest Power
Chapter Three
The First stood before Faith in the form of the Mayor, easily convincing her that It was his ghost. “That’s my girl! Now, here’s how to defeat The First,” he told her. Giving her all the scoop on the “weapon”. Faith ate up every drop of info. She gathered together the remaining SIT’s, leaving Willow, Xander, Dawn, Anya, and Andrew behind.

Spike had fallen asleep again in Buffy’s arms, but this time when he awoke, she wasn’t there. There was a note on the pillow next to him.
Spike read the note with a horrible, sinking feeling in his stomach. She’d gone to find the weapon, alone. “Damnit!” He crumpled up the note and threw it across the room. He dressed quickly, only to find that the sun was up and he couldn’t leave the house. Spike threw a chair across the room in frustration. Then he sighed and retrieved the chair to sit down on it. He was so worried about Buffy, he couldn’t think straight. He had no doubt that Caleb wouldn’t just let Buffy take the weapons out of the vineyard. And, he was right.
