Getting to know you
The smell of Buffy’s arousal hit Spike’s nose ~ Bloody hell. I want her. Now. ~ Spike thought. Buffy looked up at him and closed her eyes. Spike leaned down to kiss her. Suddenly there was a scream. ~ Bloody hell. ~ “I …I’ll be back in a minute.” Spike said trying to control his raging hormones.
“Oh…Ok” Buffy said ~ What the hell is going on? Where is he going? ~ Buffy thought curiously.

“And he didn’t even tell you his name?” Willow asked
“No …he was just about to kiss me and then he said he’d be back. That was half an hour ago.” Buffy pouted.
“Well…he’ll probably be back then.”

amn amn Vampire hearing. ~ Spike thought to himself as he tracked down the source of the scream. ~ Hmm Pretty girl. And a vampire. ~ Spike thought to himself taking in the sight before him.
“Please don’t kill me.” Cordy said.
“I won’t kill you till after.” The vampire said evilly taking a step closer to Cordy. “I haven’t had a warm body in so long. I want to enjoy it.” He grabbed her by the hair and all of a sudden Cordy was coughing on the cloud of dust that was falling around her.
“You ok? He didn’t bite you did he?” Spike asked.
“You saved my life!” Cordy shrieked and had her arms wrapped around Spike.
“S’ok Luv. You’ll be fine. Run along home now.” Spike said trying to pry her off of himself.
“I’m …just going to the club up the street, I’m meeting my friends there. Will you walk me?” Cordy asked
“Sure thing pet. Afraid to be alone in the dark now are ya?” Spike asked leading the way.
“Yeah…” Cordy said not letting go of his arm.
“I’m gonna take my leave here and let you go in alone Luv.” Spike said prying her fingers off of his arm.
“Aren’t you going to come in? Have a drink?” Cordy asked.
“Really can’t Luv. See you around.”

~ I can’t believe he left. And didn’t come back. ~ Buffy thought sullenly. “I’ve gotta go guys. Mom said I had to be in by 11 so…”
“Bye Buffy.” Willow and Xander waved.

~ Weird. Same feeling as when I saw the hot guy. ~ Buffy thought to herself turning down the next alleyway. ~ I feel like someone is following me. ~ Buffy lunged for the bar and caught it. She flipped herself around it and did a handstand waiting patiently.
She sensed whoever was following her entering the alley and pounced. She landed on Spike straddling his waist.
“Why are you following me?” She demanded.
“Just wanted to be sure you got home safe. There are all kinds of nasties out there you know.” Spike said softly.
“Well I can take care of myself.” She said standing up.
“Didn’t say you couldn’t Luv. Just thought it’s nice to have someone watch your back.” Spike said softly.
“Like you watched Cordy’s?” Buffy questioned.
“Who that brunette?” Spike asked
“Yeah.” Buffy said snottily.
“Just saved her from a vampire Luv what’s the problem?” Spike questioned.
“You were dancing with me and I thought you were gonna ….then you were gone and said you’d be back and…...”
“Are you jealous?” Spike questioned.
“Me? Jealous? Why would I be jealous?” Buffy asked as her heart beat started to speed up.
~ Hmmm interesting. Heart is hammering in her chest now. ~ “Maybe cause you wanted me for yourself?” Spike asked a hint of teasing in his voice.
“I…Well yeah…you are attractive…and you are a good dancer I uh….*wanted* to dance some more. And Cordy is popular and I thought you just wanted to…you know get away from me….maybe you changed your mind.” Buffy said, her cheeks were bright red.
“I …I did need to get away from you for a second. But not for the reason you think. I needed to get away because I want you. I have never met anyone like you before and I was having a hard time controlling myself around you. I used the scream as an excuse.” Spike said honestly.
“You…like me? You want….*me*?” Buffy squeaked.
“Yes you.” Spike said as he tossed her a box. Buffy caught it in one hand.
“What’s this?” She asked
“Open it and find out.”
Buffy opened the box and looked inside, there was a cross on a silver chain.
“Be careful Luv.” Spike said. He leaned forward and brushed a kiss against her temple and turned to walk away.
“Hey.” Buffy called out
“Yeah?” Spike replied turning halfway towards her.
“What do I call you?” She asked shyly “And when do I see you again?”
“Spike. Tomorrow. I’ll meet up with youpatrpatrol.”
“Ok.” ~ Wait What? How does he know about patrol? ~ Buffy thought.
She looked up prepared to ask him but he was already gone.
