Fight or Flight
Getting Out?
"Oh, would you relax slayer!" Spike tried to calm her down, as she continued her assault.
"I can't believe you Spike," She punctuated the word 'believe' with an extremely hard kick to his shin.
"Bloody hell slayer, I can't even bite you remember!" He attempted to back away from her as much as possible.
Buffy couldn't believe that she was lacking that much oxygen, that she had thought anything about Spike in the first place.
"What were you trying to do then?" she ended her kicking fit, and scrambled as far away as possible, making it a point to avoid any contact at all.
Spike willed himself to think quickly, what could he tell her? He certainly couldn't say that he’d been trying to kiss her, but what else was there to say?
"I was stretching, and as you know there isn't much room in here," He replied gruffly.
"Yeah right!" Buffy spat out.
"You were just too brain dead to remember that I can’t bite you!" he snapped back.
Buffy was beyond annoyed, at the circumstance that she currently found herself in. She had an important date tonight with Riley, she had been patrolling more of late and had hoping to make it up to him.
"You know what Slayer, I don't care what you think!" He forced himself to move further away as possible from her.
He couldn't stand her at this moment, what did *she* think he was doing? She mumbled something incoherently and wriggled around, he lightly shoved her back when she rolled closer to him obviously by accident.
"Watch it Slayer" He growled at her.
"Oh get over yourself I'm trying to do something constructive here, and get these stupid handcuffs off!" she continued to roll around.
Buffy figured that there was no use they were probably magical anyway, but it beat trying to make small talk with Spike. He was obviously annoyed with her about something.
As it happened, Spike wasn't annoyed in fact he was annoyed at himself, for pulling something so foolish off. He knew that there was no way that the Slayer would ever want him. He thought she had just for a second, but now he was convinced that she was just hot and probably suffering lac lack of oxygen. He had to fix this somehow. He was trying so hard to just be friends, that he didn't want her thinking that he would bite her.
"I wouldn't want to bite you anyway," His words came out harsher, than he had originally intended..
"Yeah, like wou would say no to slayers blood," She continued to roll around and that was starting to bug him.
"Would you quit with the rolling around. There is no way that you're going to get them off," He said gruffly still annoyed.
"You could at least try! You only have rope," She sounded very annoyed and mumbled something like 'some vampire you are'.
Spike hadn't really thought about his binds before, he had just assumed that he couldn't get out after his initial try. He gave it another go and after only a couple of tries, he felt the rope shift.
"Hey I think I can get out!" He cried.
Buffy attempted to turn around to look at him, but couldn't move from her position.
"Really? Hurry up and then you can help me!" she sounded excited.
He liked her when she was excited she sounded so adorable, like a little girl.
"Like I wouldp yop you anyway," Spike joked, not knowing how she would take it.
Buffy rolled her eyes and was just about to reply when the car stopped.
"Spike, hurry!"
She sounded scared, and he could smell her fear. It made him want to kick himself for not trying to get out sooner.
"We need a plan, NOW!" He said pulling at his rope.
They heard four car doors open and slam, and the sound of footsteps, as they neared the trunk.
