Coat room confessions and graveyards
It was Thanksgiving again at B’s house. Faith, Wilson and Skye were had already arrived and while Wilson was making sure Skye and Sean didn’t destroy B’s stereo system Faith was sin the kitchen helping B put the last of the dinner together.
The last few weeks had been tumultuous at best. Raya had all but disappeared from Faiths life except to pick up there daughter. Whenever Faith would try to get the wolf alone to talk she was either with someone or ‘busy’…who the hell is busy at four in the morning. She knew Raya wasn’t sleeping with Cordy because Queen C was straight as a board and none to subtly flirting with Xander in the next room.
So Faith decided to save what dignity she had left, ignored the woman just as much as she was being ignored. But dammit she wished Raya would just talk to her. Sure she pissed her off and was driving her insane with her determination. But she missed her. Sometimes she found herself crying at the oddest times of day. When she realized that having her here, but not having her was almost as hard as believing she was dead.
Faith picked up the large bowl that had the mashed potatoes in it and walked out into the dining room, stopping when she heard Rayas voice she turned and upon seeing what the wolf was wearing dropped the bowl and jumped when it shattered, sending mash all over her shoes and the floor.
Groans and ‘Oh man’ could be heard around the dining room but try as she might Faith couldn't tear her eyes away from the sight of Raya standing in that dress. It was black and very form fitting, hugging her in all the right places. Her hair was swept up, whatever shoes she was wearing seemed to make her legs longer and Faith couldn’t stand it.
Turning she ignored the curious looks she saw from Wilson and went out back to root around in her pockets for a cigarette. She turned when she saw Cordelia step out to join her. ‘What did she want?’
“Nice night isn’t it?” Cordelia pulled her jacket tighter around her. Turning she looked at the dark slayer fumble for her lighter. Feeling only a little regretful at what she was about to do. “So Wilsons nice. Its good you found him.”
“You’re not going to get on me about Raya?” Faith asked…this was new. Everyone was getting on her about Raya. As if this time last year they hadn’t been raving about Wilson.
“Why would I want to do that? If she went back to you, I wouldn’t have her.” Cordelia beamed. Only part of the smile was fake when she saw the meaning of her words hit Faith.
“You’ve never gone for women before Cordelia.” Faith wasn’t sure what she was feeling at the moment. But it was a safe bet that jealousy was a main component.
“Yeah but there’s just something so…savage about her. Cant say i’m sorry.” Cordelia smiled. She was now finding more and more satisfaction in pulling this scheme off.
“But I saw you…you were flirting with Xander.” Faith was starting not to believe her. She couldn’t Raya would never…. ‘You said it yourself Faith. There was nothing for her to try for’ freezing she realized that even if Cordelai wasn’t telling the truth it didn’t mean Raya would be saintly.
“Yeah, but its Xander. He’s just so fun to mess with. Besides Raya doesn’t mind.” Smiling Cordelia turned back into the house and gave silent thumbs up to the wolf.
If Faith wasn’t going to see what Raya was to her, herself they were going to make her see.

As the night wore on, after the little fiasco with the potatoes everyone sat around the table joking laughing. Normally Faith thrived on this, loved this shit.
But not tonight, not when Raya smiled that sweetly, laughed that softly and looked at Cordelia like that. Tossing back the last of her wine Faith turned and gently kissed Wilson. Turning she stared daggers at Queen C, before she walked out of the room and down the hall to get her coat.
Feeling her before she saw her, she turned to see Raya softly closing the door to the coat room. “What do you want Raya” Faith spat out. Right now she was seething. Knowing full well she had no right to be but dammit if seeing Cordy that way with her….what? With her Raya didn’t just piss her off.
“I want you to stop looking at Cordelia that way. I am cordial with Wilson. Least you can do is act the same” Raya watched as her mate stiffened.
“You. Are not cordial. You snarl and look about ready to bite the mans head off.”
“I haven’t tonight. I have been pleasant and haven’t growled once at him.” Raya didn’t even WANT to remember how hard that had been. She had left Cordelia in the dining room to keep him distracted.
“Well good for you. Ill be nicer.” Faith spat out. When she saw Raya turn to leave she felt all the emotions she had been trying to hold in come pouring out. Grabbing the wolf she pulled her close and kissed her.
Biting her bottom lip, Faith slipped her tongue into Rayas mouth and turned her around; shoving her down onto the bed she climbed on top of the wolf. Smiling when she saw the way the wolfs golden eyes begin to glow with want.
Leaning down her lips met Rayas, fast and hot; Raya rolled them over and began to kiss her neck, biting softly before pushing her hands up under Faiths shirt. Reaching her bra covered breasts; she pushed the shirt and bra up over the breast and dove down, biting and sucking on Faiths nipple, pulling down Faiths pants she gasped when she felt how wet Faith was. Faith pulled her up and kissed her savagely.
Pulling Rayas dress up around her waist she shoved the woman’s thong down and pulled Rayas pussy against hers. Grinding softly Raya growled and sped up when Faith rubbed her tongue against her fang.
“Mmgod, fuckray….oh god Iloveyou.”Faith shuddered and ground up harder into Raya. Hooking one leg around the taller woman’s waist she gripped her shoulders. Raya moaned and growled, grinding faster until she was whimpering and kissing Faith with everything she had been holding back.
Faith moaned and shuddered loudly as she came, and gripped Rayas hips. The last strong thrust that threw Raya over the edge almost forced a howl from her throat. But Faith kissed her at the last moment forcing her to swallow it.
Panting she looked down at the slayer. Sweat beaded Faiths forehead and the look in her eyes convinced her even more of the woman’s love her for. Standing she pulled up her thong and fixed her dress.
“What now?”
“We go out there and rejoin the party.” Faith stood and fixed her clothes. Looking into the mirror above the dresser she ignored Rayas glare as she fixed her hair. “What did you want me to say? We got chemistry Raya; we’ve always had hotass sex. But right now we got a room down the hall with our family and dates.”
Turning Raya walked out of the room, leaving Faith to sit down. Fighting back tears, Faith prayed that somehow she would wake up tomorrow and feel nothing for the wolf.

~Four Days Later~
“I am leaving Faith.” Raya looked at her mates pained expression and strangely didn’t feel the familiar urge to comfort the woman. “Giles offered me a job and I think its time I leave.”
“What about Skye?” Faith asked while her brain was saying something more like ‘What about me?’
“I will not be gone forever. And when you marry Wilson it may be better for me not to be here to further confuse the child.” Raya looked down at her feet. Noticing how dirty her shoes were for the first time.
“Where will you go?” Faith had already resigned herself to the fact that the wolf didn’t want her anymore. She had grown tired of seeing Cordelia and Raya ‘prancing’ around the campus. Okay so they weren’t prancing but dammit it still sucked.
“I think for now it is better you do not know. Giles will know how to contact me.” Raya tried not to think about that man touching her. But it was exactly the knowledge that he could do what she couldn’t that was driving her to distraction.
She had to leave. She couldn’t take it anymore. Faith was still acting as though there having sex first in her kitchen and then in Buffy’s spare room had never happened. She couldn’t take seeing that man in her mate’s house. Kissing her, touching her. Getting Faith to smile at HIM. She just couldn’t do it anymore.
She wanted Faith to tell her she loved her. Tell her to stay but she knew as much as she hoped…it would not happen.
So indulging in an action she was becoming very good at she turned once again and left Faith alone with her thoughts.

~That Night~
Faith, B, and Kennedy were out in the graveyards slaying. Least that was what they had come out there to do. But the news of Raya leaving had spread through the campus like a wildfire.
Since Rayas return she had become something of an enigma to the students and quickly one of there favored instructors. So when Raya had said her goodbyes to everyone that night and got into the cab with Cordelia and drove away.
Faith had stood there in her kitchen. Breaking her own rule she drank half a bottle of her Jack before succumbing to sleep in her bedroom. Only to be woken up an hour later by a thoroughly pissed off little girl who had done nothing more than glare at her mother and stalk off but not before kicking Faith in the shin.
So now they were standing in a graveyard, they had made good time. Killing a couple vamps and even a nasty looking demon.
“You just let her go?” Kennedy was dumbfounded. They had all been so sure that Faith would realize what an ass she had been. But no…apparently stupidity can win out in the end.
“Okay Faith, what the hell?” Buffy paced back and forth “The woman loves you enough to come back from the dead. And you just spit on that?” She didn’t stop when she saw Faith silently crying. ‘Well serves her right’
“What was I supposed to do B? She’s with Cordelia now and even if I was to go after her. What’s the stop her from dying on me again? I almost didn’t live through it the first time I couldn’t take that again.”
“Oh so because your scared she MIGHT die again…which by the way she didn’t so I hold the only record for doing that and coming back…but anyways because she MAY do that your just going to be a damn pussy about it and what…let her go and marry Mr. Stepford? I mean shit F, there’s only so many chances you get.”
“He can’t hurt me Buffy.” Faith looked away, knowing how awful that sounded.
“Like hell he can’t. I get the whole he’s ‘safe’ thing, really I do. I mean fuck what do you think Riley was at first? He was SAFE. And look how that turned out.”
Buffy looked over at Kennedy who was just glaring daggers at Faith. ‘Oh man. She’s sooo not going to help right now’
“What am I supposed to do? It’s not just me Buffy, I have a daughter.” Faith snarled. She was getting so sick of everyone giving there two cents in on this.
“Yea…and its Rayas kid. How do you think Wilsons going to handle it when Skye turns twelve and goes through that puberty changy thing? Yea he’s REALLY going to know what to do.”
“Buffy, Rayas not leaving forever she’s still going to be in Skye’s life.”
“Cut the fucking crap Faith. You love her. You’re just too much of a fucking coward to do ANYTHING about it. If you had half the balls you claim to you’d march your scrawny little ass back to the campus and find a way to go get Raya back.” Kennedy almost screamed the last part, turning to Buffy she sneered at Faith and walked past them to go back home.
Fully intending to make sure Willow knew exactly how much she loved her.
“She’s right you know.” Buffy said softly. “Wilsons a good man Faith. And if Raya had never come back I know you coulda been sorta happy with him. But honestly, does he make you feel the way she does? I know she’s a little…rough around the edges but so are you. That’s why you two fit so well. Do you want to go the rest of your life knowing you could have had great...but settled for okay…or do you want to try?” Buffy stepped closer to her sister slayer. Praying that she wouldn’t get hit.
“Well…guess there’s only one thing for me to do now then.” Faith looked up meeting Buffy’s eyes. “I’m going to get my girl back.” Jumping when Buffy smacked her in her shoulder.
“That’s the Faith Lehane we all know and love. Come on, enough of this shit.”
