Visionary Kiss II 24

Visionary Kiss II Part 24

INT./EXT. CONVERTIBLE - STREETS - NIGHT

"Pared oos."

Imhotep's words seemed to hang in the air, as Evelyn screamed, "NOOO!!"

Beni smiled right into Rick's face, "Kill them."

But his smile froze on his face as Willow stepped in front of him, nose to nose, "You will die a horrible death Beni. and you know what? Nobody will notice, nobody will miss you."

Imhotep pulled Evey away as Rick broke free of Ardeth Bay's grip and stumbled forward, "EVELYN! WILLOW WILL TAARE ARE OF YOU! REMEMBER YOU ARE MY GIRL!"

But it was already to late the rabid vultures were moving in for the kill.

Rick looked around, searching for a way out, then quickly bent down, pulling open a cistern cover.

"This way! It's the only chance we have." O'Connell grabbed Jonathan and shoved him down inside it, then he jumped in after.

The curator pushed Ardeth Bay towards the hole. His face drained from it's colour, his eyes never leaving the mob, "Go! Find a way! Kill the creature if needed! But it must be stopped!"

The Curator for only a second looked into the eyes of the man that was his friend, letting Bay see what he had in mind, to turn and threw himself at the mob as Bay crawled down into the hole, speaking a blessing for the other mumia.

Not able to see the mob closing around the Curator to tore him apart as easily as if he would be made out of paper.

INT. CATACOMBS - NIGHT

O'Connell, Jonathan and Ardeth sloshed their way down the watery catacomb, more and more crazies pouring in behind them.

Up ahead, a light suddenly sparkled in from another cistern hole, the only warning as more of the infected crowd dropped down, screeching like rats.

Rick jumped to the right, pushing Jonathan and Ardeth ahead of him, reaching into his sack.

O'Connell with one hand struck a match off the wall, lit the nubby fuse on a stick of dynamite that was in his other hand, threw it, and ran like hell.

Fire blasted and incinerated a bunch of the crazies.

STREET - ALLEY - NIGHT

Since there was nobody left on the streets that was not under Imhotep's influence, there was nobody that really noticed as the in the dark alley the explosion blew a cistern cover over fifty feet into the air, followed by a mass of flames...

EXT. ALLEY - NIGHT

A sewer grate was kicked out of a wall and O'Connell, Jonathan and the mumia climbed out of the hole into the dark alley, covered in stinking mud.

"We gotta get her back. We gotta get them back." Rick was near panic, not able to put his finger on it, but knowing that his life would never be the same without Evey.

"I'm with you, old man. No one touches my sister like that and gets away with it. And I don't know how you feel, but I can't forget the pain in Willow's eyes." Jonathan looked up into the night, the clear sky full of shining stars giving him comfort.

Rick could only nod. Willow would help them. He trusted her, but maybe if they were able to kill this thing it would destroy her.

Taking a deep calming breath Rick looked at Ardeth Bay, "You know where he's taking them?"

"Yes. To Hamunaptra, to perform the ritual."

Jonathan looked worried, "And what ritual would that be?"

"The ritual to bring the body of Anck-su-namun back to life." Bay said matter of fact and started to follow Rick down the street.

"And how does one do that?" Jonathan looked after them to than hurry.

"By reading The Book Of The Death." They rounded the corner always looking out for the crazy mob that still could be heard chanting.

"Oh yes, of course. My sister said something like this I think."

"And then killing your sister." This made Rick and Jonathan stop and turn to be able to look into Ardeth's face.

Rick was the first to recover, he started to walk again, the only sight that he had heard the mumia's words his increased speed.

"Excuse me? Did you say killing my sister?"

Ardeth looked at Rick, "Imhotep is now able to cross the desert with great haste."

Jonathan had nearly to run, to be able to keeping pace as he tapped Ardeth onto the shoulder, "Begging your pardon, but I wasn't quite on that last part."

Bay just ignored him, "If he arrives before us, it will be too late."

"DID YOU SAY 'KILL' MY SISTER?"

O'Connell smiled an idea already forming in his head, "I know how to beat him to it. And I trust Willow that she will do everything to stop him, or at least hold out until we are there to stop it."

SAHARA - DAWN

Willow looked over at Beni, her eyebrow high, clearly giving him a message, a wicked little smirk on her face as the little man gave of a sound like a rat in a trap.

Beni moved as fast as possible away from her and Evelyn.

"Jonathan, Rick and Bay are alive." She said to the British woman as she was sure Beni could not hear them.

Evey smiled, reaching out she with her hand touched Willow's arm. She was aware that redhredhead would bring her away from this place, if possible. The look on her friends face made this clear.

Willow hated all this, Evey should not be in this danger and she would make sure that she would not be hurt.

"That's good. They will save us." Evelyn again smiled, deep in her heart she knew that Rick would do everything to stop this crazy mummy, he was her hero.

"You mean they will save you Evey." Willow walked a little away, her eyes finding the person that was the cause for this mess, "I want you to never forget that I'm more of an enemy than a friend, I can't stop him. I can´t hurt or kill him, the only way possible for me to stop him would be to make him understand that what he is about to do is wrong. And believe me from my own history I know that at the moment it's like talking to a stone. He is still in to much pain over loosing Anck-su-namun."

Evey looked into the pained face of Willow, she watched as a single tear made his way down the other woman's check," I would like to ask you a favour ..if you don't want to it's fine with me, but could you tell me what happened?"

"What is it you want to know? What happened to me or Imhotep?"

THE ERFOUD DUNES - DAWN

Jonathan's bashed-in convertible steamed it's way up to a set of semi-abandoned Quonset huts. Leaving behind an impressing cloud of dust as it moved down the street.

A single WWI Biplane with R:A:F insignias sat in the sanhe ahe aim of the little group of three dissimilar men, with a sign that in faded letters read:

His Majesty's Royal Air Corp
