MIDNIGHT AND ROSES - CHAPTER 23
Demon Spike held on tightly to the hellbeast, his arms wrapped around its neck as he was lifted like a small child by the strong, sinewy arms. He snuffled against the leathery skin at his demon Sire’s throat and mewled softly in thrall, making the beast purr soothingly to its childe as they flew through the sky.
The only thing that demon Spike could concentrate on was the raw, feral power flowing from his long lost sire into him and he was shocked when a gentle blood link opened between them.
How long he had waited for this moment, when he would be reunited. How long he had waited, to be loved by sire.
Demon Spike was not going to let William out any time soon.

As they sped to the airport, Angel’s head was throbbing as he handed the cell phone back to the vampire Laureano. A worried call to England had a frantic Giles confirm his worst fears. Something had happened to his lover... something bad.
“I have disturbing news about Spike,” Giles had said solemnly. “He has been taken from the Watcher’s Estate... right from under our noses. Angel... I... I don’t know what to say... so unprepared...”
“Wha... what do you mean... ‘taken’? What kind of danger is Will in?” Angel had stammered, panic gripped.
“I can’t... feel.. him anymore... is that why?” Angel looked questioningly at Laureano as his heart clenched and a lump rose in his throat.
The vampire prince looked gently at Angel and gave a slight nod of his head in confirmation.
“According to my sources,” Giles sighed in frustration, “Spike was enthralled by a winged demon who carried him off to god knows where. That is all the information we have at the moment, but I am assured that the services of many here have been offered and are at the ready for his safe return.”
Angel was scared and anxious. A winged demon had Spike... his Will. Now, he knew why he couldn’t feel his lover when he had reached out to touch him through their link. But, there was something there... a spark, weak as it was, it was still there. There was still hope.
As the luxury car carrying Angel and Laureano bumped up onto the tarmac at the small airport outside of Sunnydale, the demon hunter straightened in his seat so he could look out of the window. He watched anxiously as the car sped closer and closer to the lone, idling corporate jet waiting for its passengers on the runway, engines revving, anxious to take to the sky.
Laureano flipped his cell phone shut after he had given last minute instructions to his staff who would be left behind in America and those who would be waiting for him in England. The news from England was not good and he was worried.
"Here we are, Angel," the dark vampire said softly as the car came to a halt next to the jet.
He slid gracefully out of the car when the door was opened and waited for Angel to exit. He turned to the demon hunter and touched him lightly on his arm for his attention.
"William is in grave danger, Brother. I need you to stand ready beside me in this, our most sacred duty, for fealty and family. If you have doubt, you must decide now whether you will join me or I shall go it alone..."
Laureano sighed, disbelief making its way into his words. He had never expected this unfortunate turn of events, even in his wildest dreams.
The vampire prince looked gently at Angel.
The past didn’t seem so important now. All the hunter knew was that the blond vampire loved him unconditionally and that he loved Spike back just as fiercely. There could be only one answer: he would fight to get Spike back or die trying.
He looked at Laureano, determination blazing in his eyes.
"We're wasting time..."
Laureano smiled his approval and nodded. "Thank you," he said, then turned to climb gracefully up the steps to the plane.
Angel followed and waited for Laureano as he was acknowledged by the plane’s crew, before he, himself, was introduced. Then, just as the two men were escorted to their seats for takeoff, the hair on the back of Angel's neck stood up and he felt the presence of another vampire in their midst.
As the mere wisp of a flaxen haired, hazel eyed man-boy came up behind them, Laureano smiled to himself and turned to give him a quick peck on the cheek. The small vampire wrapped his arms around Laureano’s waist and smiled shyly.
"Angel, I would like you to meet my esteemed consort, Gabriel," the older vampire purred as Angel turned around.
"Umm... hello..." Angel said quietly as he sized up the demon.
Gabriel peeled himself away from Laureano and bowed gracefully.
"My lord... if I may be of any assistance to you, please... do not hesitate to ask..."
"Thanks..." Angel mumbled, clearly uncomfortable at the formality.
Mercifully, the plane’s engines began to hum louder and everyone was ushered to a seat for take off.
Once they were in the air, it was all business as Laureano briefed Angel on what he knew of Spike’s disappearance and what they could do about it. It was clear that Spike had called the hellbeast ‘Sire’ and ‘Father’ so there was no mistake that it was Arellano who had come for his childe. What Laureano was unsure of, was how the exiled vampire came to be powerful enough to manipulate the elements and shape shift.
As the hours dragged on without any real answers, Angel found himself dozing off from exhaustion. His chin would fall to his chest and he would come to attention with a snap of his head, smiling sheepishly as he looked around the room in confusion.
"I am so sorry, Brother," Laureano looked softly at Angel and apologized when he saw the state that the hunter was in.
"Please forgive me for my thoughtlessness. You must be very hungry and very tired."
"I’m alright," Angel mumbled, but the vampire could plainly see that he was on the verge of collapse.
"Come, Angel," Laureano urged the big man to his feet. "I’ll show you to your quarters where you can wash up and rest while I have cook bring you something."
Angel was dumbstruck when he was ushered into a lavish bedroom with a private bath off to the side. The double bed had been turned down and a pair of pajamas were laid out neatly over the outer quilt.
"If you need anything, Angel, all you need do is pick up the telephone and someone will see to you immediately. Will you be all right? We still have several hours over the ocean to go and I would suggest you get some rest."
"No, this is... great. I’ll be fine... really..." Angel assured the vampire prince as he was helped over to the bed.
"Good," Laureano smiled. "Then I will bid you a good night," he said as he bowed his head graciously and turned to leave.
"Night..." Angel mumbled before he dropped onto the bed and fell fast asleep.
He didn’t know how long he had been asleep, but Angel did know that he was hungry. There was a cart with food off to the side near a small table and chair that was giving off delicious smells so he went over to it and lifted off the lid.
Breakfast? Brunch? Angel didn’t know what time it was, but they were still flying over the ocean and it was still dark.
Nevertheless, Spike was weighing heavily on Angel’s mind and even though the food looked tempting and he was hungry, he only took some eggs and sausage and filled himself with almost a whole pot of hot coffee.
As he ate, he listened to the droning of the jet’s engines and wondered how much longer it would be before they landed. He scratched his face and frowned when he felt the stubble there and cursed himself for not thinking of packing a bag before he had been hustled out of his apartment by Laureano for the ride to the airport.
Looking around the room, he noticed that a set of clean clothes had been set out for him. Neatly folded over a chair by the bed were a pair of soft, black leather pants, a black tee shirt with a black leather jacket and a change of underwear. He went over and picked up the pants and looked at the size and he was impressed as he would have no trouble fitting into them.
Angel made his way to the bathroom and he wondered if it held the necessities that he needed to wash and shave. As if anticipating his every need, he found whatever he was looking for.
Clean shaven, showered and dressed in decent clothes, Angel left to find Laureano. He was anxious to find out if there was any news about Spike and how much longer they would be in the air.
Angel wandered from the back of the plane and was surprised at how lavish, yet conventional it was. He had already found the galley, the ample sized conference room where they had discussed Spike’s disappearance, sitting rooms with comfortable furniture, plasma tv, phones and internet; almost anything you could think of.
Finally, he came to what seemed to be Laureano’s quarters. The door was slightly ajar, the lights were on and Angel could sense the two vampires inside. He knocked lightly and waited.
Getting no response, Angel gently pushed the door open just enough to be able to see Gabriel kneeling in front of Laureano, who was slouched down to the edge of a soft, buttery leather couch, legs spread wide in invitation.
Angel watched in shocked captivation as the younger vampire gently licked and kissed the turgid flesh he held in his hands, making small mewling sounds of pleasure as he slowly worshiped his sire.
Laureano’s leather pants were pushed down past his hips, enough to give his lover access to his erection. His silk shirt was unbuttoned and lay open to expose the powerful chest, taut nipples begging to be laved and suckled.
The older vampire’s head lolled against the cushioned back of the couch, his black mane spread out in contrast against the caramel coloring. His long, muscled arms were outstretched, kneading the material with his hands as his eyes closed in ecstacy.
Angel bit his lip to stifle a soft groan as he felt himself harden unexpectedly at the sight. One hand slid down to palm the leather covered bulge in his pants as he looked on, and although he knew he should respect the vampire’s privacy, he couldn’t tear his eyes away.
Gabriel moaned quietly as his flaxen head bobbed up and down on Laureano’s swollen cock and the older vampire purred softly as he was sucked. After a few long minutes, the younger vampire released his prize and stood to remove his own leather pants.
Angel almost gasped out loud as he watched Gabriel stand to remove his pants, revealing the two perfect globes of his ass. He followed the young vampire’s movements as he fluidly straddled Laureano’s thighs and lowered himself onto his sire’s waiting and dripping shaft.
Laureano groaned softly and grasped Gabriel’s ass cheeks, guiding him as he lowered himself onto his prick. Both men stilled for a few moments just gazing into each others eyes before Laureano gave Gabriel a tender kiss on his lips.
Gabriel moaned and started to move his hips, slowly at first, but soon he was fucking the vampire prince’s cock hard and fast. Unintelligible words were grunted and groaned out as the pace quickened and the two vampires spiraled toward completion. Then, just before they both came together, Gabriel offered his sire his throat. With a soft sigh, Laureano closed his eyes and lowered his fangs gently into the pale, translucent skin.
As Angel watched, spellbound, Laureano’s emerald eyes drifted open to give him a knowing look and Angel couldn’t help it when he felt himself cumming in his pants.
