Chapter 22
A/N again sorry for not updating quickly when i keep saying i will but life simply gets in the way, thanks for all your reviews and i hope you keep enjoying!!!
Buffy walked downstairs to find the redhead blushing furiously on the couch, “Willow your back” she rushed forward to hug her and stepped back smiling “Um how long you been here?” willow blushed again and giggled nervously as she sat back down “Well kinda a while but I didn’t hear a thing I promise” it was Buffy’s turn to blush now, for Willow to say that meant she definitely heard something “Will I’m sorry I would have liked you to have found out another way that isn’t this” she fidgeted with her robe and looked away. “No Buffy it’s ok I did find out another way, I spoke to Xander this morning and he told me, its fine, really I’m ok with this, I mean as long as your happy I am I swear” Buffy realised that Willow was still rambling but she was stuck on the fact that she had seen Xander, “Will did you say you’ve seen Xander this morning?? I’ve been looking for him all morning” Willow laughed slightly and pointed toward the stairs with her head “Well ok not all morning but I did look and I was worried then I came back here to see if he called and Spike tried to calm me down and…” Willow grabbed her by the arm and waved her hand in front of her face, “Buffy it’s ok breathe!, yes I’ve seen Xander and he’s not happy about the whole situation but I’ve talked to him and I think he’s calmed down, just give him time” Buffy threw herself into her friends arms and hugged her tightly “I kinda love you Will”
The two friends sat on the couch talking about Angelus trying to figure out a way to catch him when Spike made his way down the stairs “morning red how’ve ya been?” he smirked at her when he saw her blush and looked at Buffy who glared at him “Spike go and put some clothes on NOW” he chuckled and made his way into the kitchen to retrieve his jeans.
“I’m sorry Will you know he’s an exhibitionist, he probably just wanted to embarrass you” she smiled weakly at her friend taking a mental note to kick the hot vampires ass later.
Spike walked back into the living room now dressed in his jeans and bent down to kiss Buffy, “So what’s going on then luv?” he sat on the floor at her feet and leaned on her legs as he picked up one of the books they were reading, “Damn things in Latin, never did learn that” he grumbled tossing the book back onto the table.
“We’re looking into ways of catching Angelus” the red head answered “I’m thinking of trying to reword a summoning spell to bring him to us” Spike arched an eyebrow and looked at her “err Red I’m not a mega witch like yourself but summoning spells only work on demons and Angelus is only part demon” Buffy gave Spike a knowing look and he looked at her innocently “What pet? I was only saying” Willow giggled at the two blondes In front of her, she always knew they would be good together but never mentioned it “Buffy it’s fine, Spike is right they do only work on demons but this is were the re-wording comes in, I think I may be able to pull it off I just need time”
They spent the next few hours talking about what Willow and the gang in LA had been up to and what they had found out before Willow had to go home, Buffy and Spike arranged to pick her up later in the evening after they had done a quick sweep of the cemetery and would all meet at the magic shop to discuss the plan.
During their twenty minutes spent in the cemetery Buffy and Spike had dusted 4 vampires but Angelus had not shown and none of the fledglings would talk, “Luv shall weand and collect red now? It doesn’t look like the grand poof is gonna show up” as he finished there was a growl from behind them which made them both turn, “Spike you know I don’t like to hear you badmouthing me” before he had time to react angelus smacked him across the face smirking, he recovered quickly and tried to reciprocate the hit only to have his fist caught by his grand sire. Buffy tried to interfere but was disturbed by one of Angelus’ minions which kept her busy and led her away from him and his childe for a while.
