After The End Of The End
Chapter Twenty-Two
"So, whats the plan?" Xander uttered quietly. Tara stared at the building, "I'm going to bind his magic - I found a strong enough spell that wont drain me too much until later on. Buffy, I still want you to go find a way in through the back, just in case he tries to run." Buffy nodded. Tara suddenly stumbled a bit, a feeling of immense fear and dread washing over her. Buffy caught her, looking concerned,
"Tara, What is it?" Tara didn't hesitate to start climbing the hill at a run,
"Willow - I can feel her - shes really scared.." A piercing shriek confirmed the feeling and Tara pushed herself to go faster. The first cry was followed by others, even when Tara reached the door, growling at the locked door. "Buffy, go." Hesitantly Buffy ran away towards the back of the building. Voices floated through the crack between the door and the floor.
"Please.. Please dont.." Tara paused at the familiar voice, frozen in fear of what could be happening. Refocusing quickly, she started to magically break the lock.
"Finally, some begging!" A male voice taunted triumphantly. Tara flinched at another scream, tears running down her face as she struggled with the lock.
"TARA!! HELP! HELP, SOMEBODY!" Frustrated with trying to unlock the lock in an attempt to be stealthy, Tara looked for more options.
"Scream all you want! Nobody can hear you!" Hearing the tearing of clothing followed by a choked sob, Tara filled with rage. "Nobody is coming to save you!"
Tara suddenly picked up a nearby, good sized rock, and smashed the lock. Tossing the lock and rock aside, she crashed through the door. Her eyes locked on the scene in front of her, an icy sentence hissing from her mouth,
"I beg to differ."
