CH22
The monster in front of Blair leaned forwards and sniffed at his neck.
“Umm you smell edible.” The other two things holding him laughed at that and Blair shuddered in terror as the man scraped his elongated teeth down his neck.
Suddenly there was the loud noise of someone crashing through the bushes from behind him. He was pulled away by the first man from the other two and spun to stand next to him his arm still held in a vice like grip. Out of the bushes sprang Spike and Xander. With out hesitating they leapt at Blair’s attackers and started fighting them. The man holding Blair snarled and flung him into the wall of one of the crypts, the force of impact stunned Blair and he slid down the wall to sit and stared in shock as the fight in front of him was played out.
Spike was dancing around his opponent taunting him and slowly ripping the man/thing to shreds. Whilst Xander was methodically beating up his opponent with moves that Blair recognised as military based. Spike finished playing with his opponent and the man/thing disappeared in a shower of dust. Blair blinked in disbelief at that. How could anyone disappear in a shower of dust. Blair watched as Xander finished of his opponent whilst Blairs first attacker came up be hind him Xander’s opponent also turned to dust but the first man grabbed him and spun him round roaring Xander’s face in rage. The man was pulled away from Xander by Spike who came up behind him. Spike spun his new opponent away from Xander and strode after him slowly the man/thing turned and tried to run away but Spike was faster and quickly caught up with him tripping him up. Spikes arm quickly raised and lowered and where the man thing had laded dust now slowly drifted to the ground.
Spike turned to Xander.
Spike reached out an arm and hauled Xander to his feet.
“You ok pet?” he asked.
“Yeah fine just tired” Xander answered “lets go check on Blair.”
Blair sat mouth gaping in shock at his two rescuers who were now covered in the dusty remains of his three attackers as they walked towards him.
