Chapter Two:
/it was a monday, when my lover told me,/
It had been three months since he saw her and Spike was beginning to wish he had called on her, even if it was to say goodbye. Spike missed that telltale tingle that went through your body if you called on Shen Long, not recognizing it for what it was. Illyria noticed how he was looking around.
"You are looking for someone," She stated, bringing Spike's actions to Angel and Gunn's attentions.
Spike shrugged, but nodded.
/"never pay the reaper with love only."/
"Who?"
"Shen Long," He confessed.
The gobsmacked look on the face of the Old One was priceless, making Spike wish he had a camera. Angel snickered behind his hand at the look on Illyria's face.
/what could i say to you, except, "i love you."/
"You...know the spirit dragon?"
Spike bit his tongue to keep from laughing, but nodded, "You could say that," He chuckled, "little golden dragon bint that likes to hit people," he rubbed his shoulder in memory.
They were all surprised when Illyria started laughing.
/and "i'd give my life for yours."/
"My daughter has been called many things," Illyria admitted, "but I believe you will be the only one to get away with calling her THAT."
Spike looked at Illyria, giving her an amused look, "She's kinda clumsy for an all powerful..." Illyria nodded knowingly.
"You guys talking about me?"
Angel, Spike, Illyria and Gunn turned to see an orange glow fading, leaving a golden skinned girl and four other people in it's wake. Spike smiled when he saw Shen, ignoring the fact that Goku was with her. Even as it started raining, Spike and Shen stood there, smiling. Roshi quickly went to tend to Gunn, leaving Angel and the others to watch as Spike and Shen walked toward each other, stopping to meet in the middle. Their chins hitting the floor at what happened next.
/i know we are: we are the lucky ones./
Their chins hit the floor as they watched a vampire and a spirit dragon kissing in the rain. Spike had an arm around Shen's waist, one hand supporting the back of her neck, his long fingers winding in metallic spun gold hair. Shen had one hand resting on Spike's chest, the other buried in his hair. To Shen, Spike's body felt like the cold, but the rain didn't help any either. And to Spike, Shen's body was like fire. But being a dragon, of course it would be.
/i know we are: we are the lucky ones./
The demonic armies of Wolf, Ram, and Hart approached, Shen cursing heavily under her breath when she had to pull away.
"Hey, ma?" She said over her shoulder.
"Yes, Shen?" Illyria answered, looking rather amused with the whole thing.
"Can I beat those three over the head with a blunt instrument?"
Illyria knew who 'those three' were. Believe it or not, Wolf, Ram, and Hart were also children of Illyria. But they were on the opposite side of the scale where their sister, Shen Long, was. Shen Long was inherently good, where her three other brothers were inherently evil.
/i know we are: we are the lucky ones, dear./
"It is fine with me," Illyria answered truthfully, "but their father may not like it."
Shen Long snorted, "The scoobies kicked the First's ass," she looked to her mother, "just ask Piccolo."
Angel watched as Spike groaned.
"Do you have to call me that?" Spike whined.

AN: I know this chapter was short, but I wasn't up to writing the final battle. Sorry 'bout that.
