Shot down and snow caps
Sasha carefully slipped out from under Persephone’s sleeping grasp, sliding out of bed she stretched and popped her back before glancing down at the sleeping woman and redressing.
Quietly sitting down her bed she pulled on her boots and paused for a moment…she had been here in her domain for about…six months, which meant roughly four years in the earth realm…got to love time differences.
Snorting at the mental image of the look on Buffy’s face was she to reappear one day…smiling wider at the one that would be on Kennedys face? She wished now she had offered to bring the younger slayer here.
True she couldn’t slay any of the demons here they were protected but she could fight them…that was something wasn’t it?
Standing she momentarily debated on whether or not to leave a note, deciding not too she strode out of her room, unconsciously adopting the stance of power and grace that had come so easily in her years as ruler.
Walking down the stairs and through the demon crowds she headed for the portal to ‘Olympus’…in the old days it had been something else but after ruling over humans for so long Zeus and the other high Gods didn’t think to rename it.
Stopping before the portal she took a deep breath and stepped through. Wincing at the sudden brightness she was forward, taking in the seemingly endless fields of rich green grass, before making her way to the massive white temple that held her interest.
Treading carefully she paused and gave the guards a cautionary look before stepping into the temple, pleased to see Zeus seated there along with his wife Hera she walked to the center of the room.
Kneeling before the king and Queen of the Gods she stood and watched the regal pair carefully. She could tell Hera wasn’t pleased to see her…neither was Zeus…of course they were never pleased to see her so whatever.
“What do you want demon” Zeus asked, probably in his most intimidating voice Sasha guessed, while he did pull it off he didn’t scare her.
“I wish to appeal my right to enter the earth realm” Sasha ignored the annoyed looks the couple shared before tuning back to her.
“What makes you believe you have the right?” Hera asked, looking at the demon with disinterest.
Sighing Sasha decided to kiss some ass “The charges brought against me…they are unjust.” Sasha felt her stomach flip at the crackling rage in Heras eyes. She had been the one to sentence the blue demon.
“What makes you believe those charges were…unjust?” Zeus asked levelly. Studying his blue skinned descendant carefully.
“Fate was not deterred, the mortal skin walker died as was her fate, and Lonnie…the cavewoman was Protector…Tyrell was killed…all of Fates designs were carried out.” Sasha saw the rage break out on Zeus’s face after she had said that last bit. He had always been a stickler for the rules, ironically because he couldn’t seem to follow the simplest of do not cheat on your wife…especially one with powers.
“You meddled…for that you will have no part in what is happening on earth” Hera said seriously, looking down at the demons pointedly.
Sasha frowned; she had heard what the Goddess had said…’happening’…not ‘happened….what was going on down there?
Nodding curtly Sasha did an about face and strode out of the temple, pausing outside of the temple she mulled over what she would have to do to get any answers. Or better yet…who she would have to talk too.
Sighing she thought it over a moment before it hit her…Gaia. She was the legitimate know it all of loopholes and universal happenings. Smiling she set out to head home so she could request an audience with the original god.

Buffy struggled against Faiths squirming body, struggling to hold down her friend so that Vikki could mend her wound.
Flipping around she grasped onto Faiths shoulders and held her against her chest as Lonnie and Willow both held down the unconscious woman’s flailing legs…grunting when a stray arm collided with her own bruised ribs Buffy tightened and prayed for a miracle.
Looking down at the long gash that stretched across Faiths midriff she looked up to see Lonnie breaking a sweat form holding down the dark slayer as Vikki tried to quickly administer the sedative so that Faith wouldn’t end up hurting herself more than she already had.
Grunting with the effort, Buffy looked up when her front door was flung open and Raya came running in. “She alright?” Raya asked looking down anxiously looking down at her wounded wife.
“She’s fine, just a little…lively>” Buffy quipped sarcastically. Sighing in relief when Vikki finally injected the slayer with the sedative and Faith went limp not a minute after the drug hit her blood stream.
Hesitantly loosening her grip Buffy scooted away from her sister slayer and watched as Vikki went about stitching and closing Faiths open wound.
Sighing Buffy ran a hand through her dreads and stepped away, walking upstairs to change Buffy paused when she heard voices coming from Jaegers room. Stepping to the door she opened it with a knock.
Smiling to see Jaeger and Axel sitting on the bed beside Sheridan reading a book.
Smiling at the scene she gently closed the door and walked into her own room.
Wincing at Faiths cry of pain Buffy tore off her own clothes and thought back over the years, since that news cast she had discovered that this virus, targeted everyone not of the mystical persuasion.
Essentially spreading to all pure humans and infecting them long enough to become day walking vampires. After that epidemic outbreak everything had happened so fast, everything from Chicago to Montreal all the way down to Florida as well as five miles over the ocean a hundred foot wall had been erected.
Protected by magic and science…the idea was clear, no one gets in, no one gets out. It had been this way for three years, and as much as Buffy would love to simply wake up from this nightmare she knows she has to get up and begin organizing the daily rations.
But no…instead the Initiative had taken over everything west of that wall...and done god knows what with it. Angel was able to get through on an old landline payphone and according to him, each and every creature mystically inclined in any way was sent to death camps…humans were now aware of the secret society of demons. And everyone was in hiding.

Kennedy rolled over and unhappily opened her eyes when she sensed her daughter in the room, it was one of those uncanny mother abilities you didn’t hear about everyday…but should because it was annoying as hell.
She finally managed to get her eyes open enough to see Sheridan standing next to her bed in her pajamas…what was odd was that she was wearing a cute little red and orange striped snowcap. ‘What was she wearing a hat in the summer?’
“What’s up baby doll?” Kennedy asks rubbing her eyes.” Why are you wearing a hat at...”Kennedy looked at the clock and frowned “Five in the afternoon?”
I was trying to find one that hided my horns cause I heard one a tha first year shlayers making fun of them” Kennedy realized Sheri was nervous, her lisp was coming back some…a sure sign. “I tried this hat cause I liked it last year in the snow…but it’s to small and it got caught on my horns.” Sheridan blushed and looked down at her bare feet.
“Hey honey what did I tell you about girls or anybody that makes fun of you?” Kennedy asked as she sat up and urged her kid closer to her.
“That they suck and wish they could do the cool stuff I could do.” Sheridan said in a small voice. Kennedy’s heart clenched as she reached out and took a hold of the edges of the small cap.
“That’s right baby blue” Kennedy said softly as she carefully untangled the stray strings that had gotten caught around Sheri’s horns and slipped the hat off. “See…those girls can’t shoot fire out of there hands or do that thing where you go invisible.” Kennedy smiled and leaned in, tickling her daughter until she was turning bright red ad flailing her legs.
Giggling Sheridan sat up laughing “I can’t go invisible mommy…I just match whatever im standing next to.”
“oh YEA” Kenney said pulling her daughter onto the bed and tickling her until Sheridan begged her to stop and she had tears running down her face.
“Okay Hun, you know I love your right?”
“Yeah mommy…I love you too”
