Chapter 2 of TFL

The next thing I remember is waking up in a room on a very large bed thankfully I was still dressed. Danielle: Great piss off a vampire and wake up in a bedroom where you have no idea where you’re at. Nice job Danielle this is one for the records…my stupidest moments yet. I moved to get up off the bed to look around. Danielle: Where am I? Angelus: You are at our home, lass. I glanced over the spot where I heard him and moved backwards on the bed. Danielle: Why did you bring us here? We’re nothing more then bait for Buffy, aren’t we? He started to laugh as I watched him walk into the light. Angelus: Right you are lass but I think we should get to know each other before I inform my dear Buffy that your here.
He stood in front of me wearing a pair of leather pants and a brownish silk shirt that looked like it was made just for him. He reached out to touch me. Angelus: How do you know my name? I moved closer to the headboard putting distance between the monster and myself. Danielle: I read it in the Watcher Diaries. I was a potentional Slayer before my cousin was called. With a nod he sat down on the bed and watched me as I sat there unsure of what he was going to do. Danielle: What are you going to do with me? He just smiled at me before he started to explain why I was there.
Angelus: So how is my dear Buffy? I looked at him straight in the eye and smiled. Danielle: Self-centered and willing to kill herself but you already knew that part didn’t you. Sad to say for you but I got her past that. Now all she wants to do is see you blow away with the wind and I’m thinking Xander and I will be there when it happens laughing our heads off. Angelus laughed so much that he fell backwards onto the bed and looked up at me. Angelus: Well I see the Summers’s humor is passed down to every woman. Danielle: It’s not just the humor…now let me go you fucking asshole. He looked up at me for a few more minutes before reaching out and putting a fallen a piece of hair behind my ear again. I closed my eyes and waited for it all to end as his hand traveled from my head to my neck, the valley between my breast, waist, across my hips and rest on my upper thigh as he pushed my skirt up a bit more.
Angelus: How do I know you? I looked away and focused on the wall farthest from me. Danielle: Please just let me go. Angelus: Why am I drawn to you?! I didn’t answer as I felt his hand leave my thigh and move under my chin as he forced me to look at him. Danielle: Please just rape me and let me leave. Angelus: Why would I do that? Tell me why I’m drawn to you? I looked away from him. He moved his hand down to my neck where I could feel his fingers tightening around my neck as he spoke. Angelus: Answer me! I gulped and looked at him in fear. Danielle: I… don’t know. Please…let me…friends. He smiled and sat up. Angelus: I think not lass you will see them once I say. A phone started to ring; I looked over at my purse that lay beside the bed. Angelus: Saved by the bell. He smiled at me and stood up.
I watched him walk over and take my cell phone out of my purse before handing it to me as I rubbed my neck. Danielle: I think I have a bruise. He just smirked and threw the phone on the bed. Angelus: I assume it’s your cousin. Tell her that you are fine and you will meet her soon. Danielle: What if I don’t? Angelus leaned down close enough to me to whisper in my ear. Angelus: You will never see your friends alive again. I opened the cell phone and mumbled “bastard” before answering it. Angelus: You have on idea.
Danielle: Hello…Buffy, yea we’re still at the Bronze. No we kind of met some people but I promise we’ll be at Willow’s soon. Well Yelsin is talking with a dark haired girl and Ashley is currently on the dance floor with a blonde and I’m sitting by a tall brunette with a really bad attitude. Buffy: Have they done anything to you? Danielle: No they haven’t done anything yet but I promise you that if they do there will be hell to pay. I looked at Angelus and frowned as he ran his fingers through my hair. I swatted his hand away and shot him a death glare as he chuckled at me.
Buffy: Giles called and told me that you were taken away by vampires. He said it looked like Angelus. Please be careful I don’t want to lose you Danielle. I smiled to myself before giving Angelus a very pointed look. Danielle: Yeah you can count on me not to do anything stupid. Buffy: The gang and I will research and try to figure out where you guys are. So just sit tight and don’t piss him off. Danielle: You betch’a. See ya soon cousin. I hung up my phone and looked at Angelus. Angelus: Good girl. He touched my cheek and I flinched. Danielle: Bastard. He chuckled to himself as I looked away hoping that he didn’t look into my eyes and see what I was really thinking about when he touched me. I started to cry as something connected with the door.
I looked up to see the door bust open and in walked Spike with Ashley being pulled along. He picked her up and threw her on the bed beside me. Spike: Bloody Hell, woman! Angelus and I looked at him to see him holding his hand. I moved toward my friend and turned her to face me as I noticed a bruise forming under her right eye. Danielle: Ashley, are you alright? She nodded a yes before looking at Spike who was still holding his hand. Spike: The bitch bit me. Angelus rolled his eyes and laughed. Spike: It’s not bleeding funny. Danielle: I don’t know it has its points that make it funny. Angelus: She does have a point.
Ashley: I wouldn’t have bitten you if you were nicer to me. I frowned at him. Danielle: The fucking asshole hit you and he is still up walking around. Ashley watched as Angelus glanced at me and his grandchild. Spike: Yours appears to be a feisty one mate. I shot him a look. Danielle: You have no idea. But if you’re willing I can show you. He raised his eyebrow at me. Ashley: I would have done more but he threw me through the damn door or did you miss that part. Danielle: Sadly no I was sitting right here when it happened.
The next person that walked through the door was Drusilla pulling Yelsin by the shirt collar. Yelsin: Let go of me you crazy ass bitch! She threw him onto the bed beside me. Drusilla looked at us and at Angelus. Drusilla: He tried to hurt me. I glanced at her and saw a bruise forming on her face. It was shaped as a poker. I guess Angelus noticed it as well because he was moving toward us with a very stern look on his face.
He grabbed Yelsin around the neck and forced him to look him straight in the eyes. I reached out and grabbed his arm. Danielle: No he didn’t mean it. Yelsin tell him you didn’t mean it. Angelus threw me off and looked at Yelsin. Angelus: You have touched something that does not belong to you boy. Yelsin smirked at him. Yelsin: She belonged to me long before you took her away. Ashley: Yelsin no! She reached for Yelsin as I watched Angelus raise his hand to her. I reached out and grabbed her arm. Danielle: Ashley no.
Angelus looked at Ashley and me holding each other. Angelus: What are you talking about? Danielle: Nothing he means nothing by it. Angelus looked at Yelsin and back at me. Danielle: We did not mean any harm. If you would just let us go we’ll never tell a soul about what happened. He let go of Yelsin, climbed onto the bed and lowered me to the mattress as he straddled my hips forcing me to look at him as I waited for him to do something. Angelus: How about I don’t. With that he kissed me as I tried to push him off by pressing my hands into his chest…when he was done he got off the bed and looked at me as I slowly sat up surprised by what just happened. With a smirk he grabbed his children and pushed them out of the door.
Taking a hold of the door he looked at me. Angelus: Once I am done with them I will come back and you will tell me what you know or you will watch your friends die. The boy will go first for what he did to Drusilla. I looked up at him with tears streaming down my face. Danielle: Please leave them alone…I’ll do whatever you want just don’t hurt them. Ashley: Danielle what are you…Angelus: It’s about time you’ve come around. With a smile he closed the door locking us in.
I sighed and tried to wipe the tears away before looking at Ashley and Yelsin as I backed myself up against the headboard. Danielle: Are you guys alright? They nodded and hugged me. Ashley: We thought we lost you when Angelus walked away from us. Spike took me in another room and started to ask me questions about whom and what I was. Yelsin: Drusilla was raving mad, talking about the past and present as if I could understand her like I did before. I smiled and realized that I still couldn’t breath. Danielle: Guys, I need to breath. They let go and looked at me.
Ashley: You didn’t tell him anything, did you? Danielle: No. He started to ask questions but I talked about Buffy and she called. Giles saw them take us away. Yelsin: So he was at home. I nodded a yes. Danielle: Yeah he called Buffy. They’re going to try and rescue us. How did you hurt Dru? Ashley: Why did you have to go and antagonize him like that? You could have gotten us killed and then where we would be.
Yelsin: She tried to get me to talk to a bunch of dolls, so I picked up the poker and hit her with it. Danielle: Yeah and thanks to you I have to stop him from killing you right in front of us. Yelsin: I never said it was the right thing to do. Danielle: That’s the thing you never think before you let that mouth of yours run off. Ashley: At least you weren’t thrown through the door. We looked at Ashley. Ashley: Well when I wouldn’t tell him anything he hit me and when he moved to do it again I bit him.
Danielle: I thought that turned vampires on? Ashley: Apparently not this one, he acted like a big baby. I mean it was a little itsy bitsy bite and he freaks. Yelsin: Only you would get stuck with the whinny one. Ashley: Hey at least I’m not stuck with the crazy one. Danielle: Ha-ha I have the sane one except…Yelsin: He’s hung up on your cousin because she had sex with him? Which allowed him to loose his soul thus unleashing the most feared vampire on the world? Can you blame him for wanting to have a little fun? Danielle: You won’t let that go will you? Yelsin: Nope great job Danni. I poked my finger at him and started to yell.
Danielle: Hey mister I was the one that wanted to go to Willow’s and pretend that none of this ever happened but no who wanted to talk to Giles about it huh?!? We didn’t pay attention to Ashley as she continued to talk about her taste in guys. Ashley: At least you two are constants with the crazy one or the hot one. The guys that like me are one extreme and then the next. Danielle: Are you still on that. We all have bad taste in the opposite sex can we just move on. Yelsin: He pushed a button. Danielle: No now help me think of a way out of here before he gets back to kill us all.
I looked away as Yelsin moved my hair away from my face and noticed a hand print on my neck. Yelsin: Danielle? I looked at him and waited. Yelsin: What happened? I moved my hair back to cover the mark. Danielle: Nothing…my temper got the better of me. Ashley: What do you care your guy is like the master of everything…you’ll be like a queen. I played with my hair. Danielle: Yeah this one is a really big winner. Yelsin reached out and took my hand in his. Yelsin: Tell me what happen Danni? I looked at him and sighed. Danielle: What do you think happened? I said something that he didn’t like and he got mad…like always. I don’t want to talk about it guys.
Ashley: Does Buffy know where we are? Danielle: She has no idea. Angelus: Good thing. I looked up and noticed him standing in front of me. I moved away from him and hit the headboard. Danielle: Ow. I reached up and touched the back of my head as Angelus walked further into the room. Yelsin: Leave her alone. Angelus looked at him and smiled. Angelus: Come on lass time to confess your sins. I looked up at him in fear that he may attack me again. Danielle: No. Ashley: Stop looking at her like that. She pulled me into her arms and looked at him. Ashley: Can’t you see what you’ve done? Spike: We don’t care pet. Drusilla: Tell us what we want to know. I looked up at Ashley and sighed as I turned to look at them. Danielle: I’ll tell you whatever you want to know just promise me that you will not harm them in any way…Liam. I looked at him with pleading eyes hoping that he would agree.
I looked at both of my friends and noticed fear lingering in their eyes. Ashley: Don’t do this Danni! I took a deep breath and glanced at Angelus as he stood there looking at us. Danielle: I’m sorry but I refuse to see you two get hurt because of something I should never have done in the first place. I moved away from Ashley, climbed off the bed and walked over to one of the windows. Angelus: So tell me how do I know you? I took a deep breath, turned and looked at Angelus.
Danielle: It began the night you were turned Liam. I looked at my Claddagh ring on my left ring finger as the memories washed over me. Danielle: You were not meant to be turned that night. It was the night before our wedding. Angelus: Wedding? I would never…Danielle: Do you want to hear this or not? He frowned and walked over to a near by chair. He had a seat and waited for me to continue.
Danielle: Steven had taken you out for one more night of freedom before you were forced to settle down and be a husband. I begged you not to go but you gave me a kiss and left. That was the last time I saw you alive. I took a chance and glanced at Angelus to see him smirking at me or in deep thought. With another deep breath I took a chance to continue on with my story.
Danielle: The next day I was sitting in my room dressed for my wedding when my father walked in and told me that they had found your body in an alleyway. I cried for hours cursing you and the person who took you out from me. I watched as they buried your body that morning. Two days later I died from a broken heart they said. The next thing I remember is being born into Michael’s family to die again the night you took Drusilla. We meet Cecily in a tavern where William would recite his poetry. A small smile formed on my face when I looked at me friends…my family.
Danielle: We became fast friends and he was taken from her causing us to die again. I turned away from the others as Ashley took up the story. Ashley: Through the years we have been reborn and every time you miss us due to your stupidity. It was your fault that we can not find happiness Angelus. And until we find it we will be reborn again and again. Danielle: It wasn’t his fault Ashley. Yelsin: When are you going to stop protecting him?
I turned and looked at Yelsin. Danielle: I’m not…but he didn’t do this to us…I did. Yelsin got off the bed, walked over to me and pushed back my hair. Danielle: What are you doing? He turned my head and pointed to my neck where the hand print glared at everyone as it reflected in the window pane behind me. Yelsin: What about this? Is this your fault to? I pushed him away from me as I covered my neck with my hair. Danielle: No but you have to understand…
Angelus: You’re lying to me. I looked at him. Danielle: I lie to you? I walked right up to him and poked him in the chest driving my point home. Danielle: I have spent the last two and a half centuries following you around the fucking world in the hopes that you might turn around and see the woman you fell in love with. I picked up his hand pointing out his ring to him. Danielle: Who do you think gave you this ring? You’re precious Darla? I think not…Liam. I dropped his hand. Danielle: I gave it to you the night before our wedding. I raised my hand to show him my ring. Danielle: Just as you gave me its match and now I find that you had given the same ring to my cousin. My friends are right I have spent too much time blaming myself for your fucking mistakes!
I turned back toward the window as he started to laugh at us. I turned and looked at him as I crossed my arms over my chest. Danielle: What are you laughing about now? Angelus: You actually think I believe you. I walked over to him and raised my hand to slap him but he caught my wrist. Angelus: I wouldn’t do that if I were you? I pulled my wrist away and started to rub it as I moved away from him slightly. Danielle: You may think that your precious Elizabeth is gone but she lives in me. I have seen everything you’ve done and some how I still love you. He smirked at me as I stood there with my hands on my hips. Angelus: I still don’t believe you lass. I watched as he placed his hands behind his head as he leaned back in his chair. Angelus: And I won’t until you prove it to me.
I walked over to him, sat in his lap and whispered into his ear. Danielle: I told you once that I will always be with you and look what it has gotten me. Following you and your whore around while I’m trapped in the body of a teenage girl until you finally got your fucking head out of your ass and notice me as the one you said you would love until your dying day. I felt his arms wrap around my waist I placed my hands on his chest to stop him but he pulled me closer to him until our noses were touching.
Angelus: Do not insult Darla! I looked him straight in the eyes and smiled. Danielle: I will insult that bitch if I like. He slapped me. I went wide eyed as I held my face in my hand before looking at him. Danielle: I told Steven that once you were drunk enough you would follow anything in a corset. He should have died and been turned not you. And thanks to you I did something that shifted the whole world’s balance all because I loved you. I moved off his lap, walked around the chair and whispered into his ear again. Danielle: But now I find you in bed with my cousin and you have given her the same thing I wanted since the day we met! He looked up at me with a smile playing on his lips. Angelus: And what would that be Lizzy?
I moved back around his chair, bent down so we were eye level and looked at him. Danielle: Don’t call me that! She died the same day you died. All I ever wanted was your love. I took off my ring and threw it at him before walking toward the door. Danielle: You can have that back. I won’t need it anymore or you for that matter I rather die then let you touch me again. Angelus: As you wish.
I moved to open the door but Spike blocked my path. Danielle: Let me pass William before I am forced to remove something you value very much. He moved away and watched me walk out of the room. Spike: I like her. Angelus: Shut up Spike. He stood and followed me out of the room. Ashley: Someone’s in trouble. She crossed her arms and smirked. Yelsin nodded and watched Spike and Drusilla. Yelsin: So what do we do now? Spike: We could get back to what we were doing earlier pet. Ashley looked away from him and pouted. Ashley: Come near me and I’ll make good on Danielle’s threat. He moved away from the bed.
I stood in one of the many exits to the gardens watching the stars come into focus. I stood there thinking about what just happened. I looked down at my hands and cried. Danielle: I should never have come here. Whenever I find him I end up alone. God how could you do this to me? I followed you faithfully and this is my reward for finding love. You take him away, turn him into a demon and allow him to change the lives of others. Condemning them to the same fate as me then you force me to follow him around for centuries while he kills, tortures, and destroys everything that I wanted out of life, so you can what? Show me that I was wrong. Well sorry bucko but I love him still…what is wrong with me. Why can’t I let go of my feelings for him? Angelus: I couldn’t have said it better lass…well I could have but it would have more swears in it. I turned around and found him standing in the doorway looking at me with his charming smile on his face.
Danielle: What do you want now? I told you everything so you can’t kill me. I watched the moon shine down upon me not caring if he was in still with me or not. He walked over and caught my scent as I turned and looked back at him. Danielle: What are you doing? Angelus: We’ve met before. I turned away from him not wanting to look at him incase I might do something irrational like kiss him sensly. Danielle: Leave me alone Angelus. He moved closer and smelled my scent again. Angelus: I know you from somewhere. I looked at him. Danielle: You know a girl would tell you if she wanted to be smelled, I don’t. So would you please move away from me before I force you! I walked over to the fountain and sat down as he stood there for a few minutes before following me over and smiling down at me as he inhaled my scent again.
Angelus: I remember your scent like it was yesterday but I can’t remember where I met you. I didn’t look up instead I looked into the water. He bent down so we where at eye level and turned my chin so I was looking at him. Angelus: What is happening to me? Danielle: I don’t know…please just leave me alone. I turned away from him allowing him to see my neck and the one thing that had haunted me since that night so many years ago.
Angelus: Who has tasted you? I looked at him confused before looking back at the simple fountain. Danielle: No one. I’ve had that as long as I can remember. Please just let me be. He moved my hair away from my neck to find a bit mark resting above my right collar bone. I refused to look at him as he traced the bit mark with his fingers causing me to shiver in fear and anticipation. Angelus: Its mine. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes. Danielle: Yes. Now just leave me alone. He stood and looked at me as tears ran down my face.
Angelus: You were in Romania. I looked back at the fountain and dipped my fingers in the water as he remembered that faithful night…the one night when I was the closets I have ever been to him. Angelus: You were the Gypsy girl I fed off of. You’re the reason I was cursed with a soul. I nodded as continued to dip my fingers into the water. Danielle: I was in the village the night you arrived. Darla must have noticed who I was because she said I could see you but all I had to do was come with her. So I followed her into an alleyway and everything went black for a moment.
I looked up at him as more tears streaming down my face unable to hold them back any longer. Danielle: I only remember waking up to see you looking over me. I tried to tell you who I was but you thought I was struggling. He moved closer to me as I tried to control myself. Angelus: I loved the way you smelled it was if I was final coming home. Danielle: That was my fourth and most painful death. I was reborn years later but I still had the memories of that night and when I looked in the mirror I found that your mark haunting me just like everything else I’ve done with you.
I looked at the moon as I brought myself under control once more. Danielle: This is my punishment for wanting to remain by your side. He reached out and touched my cheek. Without thinking about what I was doing I leaned into his touch feeling safe for the first time in centuries. Angelus: I can still taste you…sweet and innocent with a hint of vanilla. I turned and smiled a weak smile at him before he pulled me to my feet. Danielle: Angelus? He pulled me close and licked his mark before whispering into my ear. Angelus: I can still see the hunger in your eyes when I took the first bite. I looked at him in shock as his words sank in. Danielle: Angelus let me go…you’re hurting me. His hand traveled away from my waist and brushed the exact place he bit before killing me. Angelus: I bit you on the inside of you right thigh. I looked up at him with pleading eyes as I struggled to get away from him. Danielle: Please? He smiled before continuing his tale.
Angelus: I remember you wiggled to get me to come closer to you. I whispered softly to him. Danielle: Let go of me. He gently ran his fingers through my hair before smelling it. Angelus: You smell the same…like vanilla and strawberries though you had darker hair in those years. Danielle: Let go of me Angelus. He whispered into my ear. Angelus: Are you sure that is what you want my sweet Elizabeth? Without another word he swooped in and kissed me.
I reveled in the kiss I waited for so long to have but it was tainted somehow. I enjoyed the feel of his lips so much that when he pulled away from me I had wrapped my arms around his neck and spoke softly to him. Danielle: Liam… Angelus: Lass…I looked up at him realizing what happen before stepping away from him putting distance between us. Danielle: I told you what you wanted to know. Know keep your promise and let us go. You’ll never see us again. He walked closer to me as I wrapped my arms around myself. Angelus: What do you mean? You belong to me now lass and I will not have you leaving my sight.
I shook my head as I looked at the ground. Danielle: I’m leaving. And I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon. I moved to leave but stopped in the entrance way but refused to look at him. Danielle: I belong to no man remember that. Before I could walk through the doorway he grabbed my arm. Angelus: I just found you. I will not lose you again. I shrugged him off and before I could stop myself I creased his cheek. Danielle: I have never stopped loving you. I moved away and went inside leaving him there to think over what I said.
Ashley and Yelsin were waiting at the front door as I walked into the room. I walked up to them and pulled them into a hug as small tears fell from my eyes. Danielle: Are you two alright? Yelsin nodded as he gave me a hug before I moved into Ashley’s arms as he stroked my hair to calm me down. Yelsin: We’re good. Ashley: What about you? Did he…I shook my head no and cried a bit as she held me in her arms. Ashley: Everything will be alright. I nodded against her shoulder as Spike and Dru walked into the room.
Spike: Cecily. Going so soon pet? Ashley glared at him as she held me. Ashley: My name is Ashley William…goodbye. The next time we meet I hope it’s under better circumstances. Spike: But we never…I turned and looked at him to see him smile as I glared at him. Danielle: My threat still stands Spike and trust me I will make good if you don’t let us go. He nodded and moved away from me as Yelsin said his goodbyes to Drusilla.
Yelsin looked up and sighed as Drusilla cried to herself. Yelsin: Sorry Princess. I wish we could be together but the time is wrong. Drusilla: Will I see you again Michael? Yelsin: The name is Yelsin luv and I don’t know. Maybe…you’ll never know. I looked up at them and sighed. Danielle: I’m sorry for this. I wish there was something I could do to make you forget we where ever here. Spike: Don’t want to Goldilocks. Drusilla: I’ll talk to daddy mummy. I smiled and moved to leave when Angelus called out to me. Angelus: Danielle! I stopped and just stood there as he walked into the room.
Angelus: Danielle! I turned and looked at the man I’ve loved since I was sixteen a mere child in those times. Danielle: I can’t do this Angelus. I’m sorry. I turned to leave when he touched my arm. Angelus: Wait lass I have something for you. I turned and looked at him as he handed me a dagger. Danielle: What do I do with this? I looked at him slightly confused. Angelus: I’ve caused you so much pain time I earned some in return, don’t you think?
I moved out of Ashley’s arms and held onto the dagger a bit tighter as I moved toward him. I reached up as if I was going to strike but dropped the dagger as I touched his cheek instead. Danielle: I can’t hurt… I stood on my toes and whispered into his ear as I placed my hands on his face. Danielle: I never could hurt you. I kissed his cheek and smiled at him. Danielle: I will always love you. With a nod, he kissed my forehead and put something in my hand. Angelus: Later after Buffy finds you. I nodded and waited as my friends said there final goodbyes. We moved to leave when they called out to us.
Spike moved closer to Ashley and removed his ring before placing it in her hand. Spike: Wear it until we met again, it should protect you against other vampires. She nodded and took my hand. We watched as Drusilla removed a small earring and placed it Yelsin’s hand. Drusilla: Take this so you will always remember. He removed his earring and replaced it with hers. I watched as the simple ruby glowed in the low lighting. Yelsin: I promise. She smiled at him as he wrapped an arm around our shoulders.
I looked up and found Angelus smiling at me. He took my hand in his and kissed my knuckles. Angelus: I fear that the next time we see each other I will not be able to say this. I will always be waiting for you siog. He touched my cheek and kissed me. I sighed as he laid his forehead against mine and whispered something to me. Angelus: I am sorry for any pain I have caused you. I blinked as I noticed the caring look in his eyes something that I rarely saw him use as a demon compared to the time we spent together as mortals all those years ago. Danielle: I just wanted to be by your side nothing more…I missed hearing you calling me fairy. I gently kissed his lips putting all the emotion I felt for him in that one kiss. Danielle: I forgave you so long ago. I kissed him and whispered into his ear. Danielle: Never forget me… mo chroi. I looked up at him before we turned and left leaving them there. Angelus: I promise lass.
We were a few blocks away from the Mansion when Buffy spotted us. She pulled me into a hug and didn’t let go. Buffy: Are you alright? We though he might have hurt you.
