Chapter 2
A Sound only you can hear. Part 2.
Rating: NC-17 of course
Pairing: Buffy and Faith of course
Summery:
Set in the season that never was... season 8, the whole slaying brigade are in Cleveland, helping to keep evil at bay, whilst Buffy, faith and the family are now living in sunny L.A, living it up and living normal for once.
Characters involved in the story: Buffy, Faith, Wood, Dawn, Willow, Kennedy, Giles, Xander, Fred.
Chapter 2.
Since Faith’s sessions were now on the subject of Buffy, it was time to take the next step. According to lianna anyway, faith had to take it upon herself to try and get to know Buffy properly all over again, without, you know turning evil on her.
Wood had planned a romantic night for faith, but after faith had explained what she had been doing for the last three months and had explained what she needed to do with Buffy, Wood was very understanding and let his girlfriend go out with her fellow slayer, instead of him.
Faith got ready in her usual gear, tight top and dark sexy jeans, she may have changed a hell of a lot since the days of teaming up with the mayor to take over sunnydale, but she still knew what looked good on her, and she wasn’t about to change that for anyone.
She stepped out of her and Woods bedroom and made her way down the long hall of the east wing of the mansion, she reached into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone, she quickly wrote a text to Buffy then carried on walking down the hall.
TXT: HEY B, NEED TO SHOW U SUMMIT, COME N MEET IN THE GARDEN. F X
She walked down the stairs and made her way into the garden, sitting down on a very large porch swing, then lit up a cigarette and waited.
It took Buffy 20 minutes to finally come out into the garden to meet faith, she looked around for a second and saw the brunette sitting, she then walked over and sat next to her, “Hey F, so what did you wanna show me?” giving the rogue slayer a small smile as she finished her question.
Faith took one more pull of her cigarette and flicked it in the water fountain in front of her.
“Faith, that’s gross!” Buffy scrunched up her nose as she watched the cigarette butt fall into the water, “You shouldn’t throw your dirty butts into the lovely water fountain…so is that what you wanted to show me huh?” she rolled her eyes and sat back waiting for faith to respond.
Faith relaxed into the chair as well as she begun, “I didn’t really have anything to show you B, I just need to tell you something, and then see if you want to talk, if that’s ok?” she finished.
Buffy looked a little confused for a second then replied, “Umm yeah sure Faith, what do you want to tell me?
Faith took a deep breath, “OK you have to promise me you wont laugh at what I’m about to say, promise me B!” Faith looked right into Buffy eyes with a serious *no bullshit* look.
“Yeah I promise faith, just tell me…” Buffy replied.
Faith took another deep breath and continued, “Well for the last three months I have been seeing a psychiatrist, and in my recent session we started talking about when I came to sunnydale, and well talking about you…” faith was suddenly cut off by Buffy.
“ME, your talking about me in therapy, what the hell did I do?” Buffy spat out in shock.
“You didn’t do anything wrong B, we have just been talking about everyone in my life, and your one of them, or you were one of them.” Faith lowered her head.
“What is that supposed to mean Faith?” Buffy turned fully, facing the brunette waiting for a reply.
“Well that’s what we need to talk about, Lianna says that because we are fellow slayers, it is vital for us to have some sort of connection, and since everything that has happened, which yes I know, my fault, but we are here now, living in the same… mansion, and Buffy… we don’t know each other anymore, we have no connection, I don’t even know how to talk to you anymore, we have both changed so much…So I was wondering, if you wanted to, I mean if u want to get to know me again, we could talk about this and see what we can do about it…So… do you want to?” Faith signed as she finished her mini speech and pulled out another cigarette, she lit it and took a long drag as she waited for Buffy to answer her.
Buffy slouched back into the seat, *she thinks we don’t have a connection anymore… that sucks, I thought we always had a connection, you know, due to being the only slayers in the world… or used to be anyways, damn you know I bet that’s it, since willow did that spell to make all the potentials slayers, mine and faiths connection isn’t there anymore… OH right she wants me to talk…*
“I never even noticed that we don’t have a connection anymore faith, but your right, we don’t talk much anymore, and we don’t really know each other, I think it will be good for us to try and connect again, you know without you going evil and trying to kill me…” Buffy gave faith a big grin and playfully punched her on the arm.
Faith just laughed, “Well I cancelled on wood for tonight, so if you’re not busy, I was thinking we could hang, what do u think?”
Buffy smiled and nodded as they both stood and walked back into the mansion.
