Changes

“So you’re like…from L.A?” Cordelia asked for the thousandth time that day.
Buffy rolled her eyes and nodded.
And I thought I was an idiot.
Buffy had been bored out of her mind during math but as soon as she left the class she felt like punching herself in the face just to amuse herself because man was Cordelia boring. Buffy studied her while she yammered away about make-up and swept her gaze over the beautiful face in front of her.

Damn if only she had a personality!

A flash of red caught her eye and she turned to see the ginger girl from math stumble out of the door to the quad outside.
“Listen Cordelia its been great but uhh I got to go talk to ya soon okay?” Buffy interrupted.
“Sure see ya in P.E!” Cordelia squealed happy that she had made friends with the obviously cool new girl.



Buffy quickly made her way outside and spotted the girl sitting on a bench that was situated around a large patch of grass and she smiled as the girl dropped half her sandwich and frowned down at the fallen food in exasperation.

“Hey!” Buffy greeted cheerfully smiling and waving at the girl sitting before her.
“What…I mean hi!” Willow cried nervously glancing around as if waiting for something bad to happen.

“Um im Buffy. I'm new.” Buffy smiled.

“Yeah I know your pretty big news around here. I'm Willow.” She responded shyly a blush making her face a pretty shade of red. Buffy grinned at the nervousness that was radiating form the girl and she sat down next to her.
“So I heard you’re the brain round here? Well im pretty much the typical dumb blonde so if you can find the goodness in your heart to help me catch up I shall be eternally grateful.” Buffy beamed.

“Uh…yeah sure...I mean of course I will. Are you sure you want to be seen sitting here though?” Willow asked biting her lower lip.
“Why not? Is this someone else’s seat or something?” Buffy asked glancing around.
“Uh no it’s just I mean you were hanging around with Cordy so you might not wanna be seen hanging with me.” Willow sighed sadly.
“Your joking right Cordelia is sooo dull! I mean im a girl I love shoes as much as the next girl but man is she obsessed.” Buffy mocked smiling when she heard Willow laugh softly.
“Hey we interrupting!? We’re interrupting.”
Buffy looked up in confusion at the black haired boy standing in front of her and at the goofy looking guy sitting next to here.
“Hey im Xander and this is Jesse. Willow introductions please?” Xander grinned happily.
“Guys this is Buffy. Buffy this is Xander Harris and Jesse Devlin my friends.” Willow said quietly almost forlornly.

Damn it their both gunna hit on her and she’s gunna be all over them!

Wait no! There’s nothing wrong with that she’s not yours or anything Willow! You don’t even like girls you like guys. Guys all the way.

Willow assured herself watching as Jesse and Xander joked and messed around with Buffy making her laugh loudly.

Why can’t I make her sound like that?

“Buffy! What are you doing with these freaks?”
Buffy stared up at the screeching sound that came from across the squad and almost laughed as Cordelia stood there trying to look threatening but just making her look a little constipated.

“Buffy! Answer me! Why are you sitting with these dweebs?” Cordelia practically screamed in shock.

“They aren’t dweebs and im talking.” Buffy snapped back really wondering what she had seen in Cordelia now that the girl was practically spitting in her face.
“”I thought you were cool!” Cordelia shook her head disapprovingly.
“And I thought you were interesting…until you actually spoke of course.” Buffy snipped back.
Willow smiled but quickly hid it when she saw Cordelia glare at her.
Without another word Cordelia stormed off.
“Ding dong the witch is gone! Well done Buff your already my new best friend.” Xander flirted shyly.
“Great cause I think im gunna need one after pissing off the ruler of the school.” Buffy sighed and her three new friends burst out laughing.

“So you are coming to the Bronze later?” Willow asked Buffy as they walked through the halls.
“The Bronze?” Buffy asked curiously.
“Oh it’s this club. Its pretty cool and basically the only spot to hang out at me and the gang hang out there all the time so you’re more than welcome to come tonight.” Willow smiled at the blonde.
“Sure im there where is it and what time?” Buffy asked.
“Oh me Xander and Jesse will come pick you up. Xand drives.” Willow explained.
“Great can’t wait but you got to dance with me okay.” Buffy winked at the red head smiling at the blush once again stained her face and Buffy ran off excited already wondering what to wear.
