Venka’s POV
As I sit in the cab heading towards my friends stop I think on the day we meet.
It was 1487 and I had just left my father’s castle sick of his games and tired of being used as if I was a toy not his child, as I think back I realize I should have left with my brother three years back, but that is history something not even I can change.
But back on track. I say him huddled in the lea of a fallen tree dressed impropriety for the mountain winters, in a “dress” of all things wrapped in some type of blanket, an hour later I was to find the dress was called a kilt by his people. He was fast asleep as I came near, falling asleep in that type of weather, freezing and snowing, wasn’t the smartest of ideas, that and his clothing told me he was foreign.
For some reason I decided to help the man so I built a awning around him not even awaking the man, what woke him was the heat from the fire I had started just outside of the shelter I had built him.
::Sighs:: When he saw me the first thing he did was draw his sword, a smart move if you know anything about the woods we where in, and demanded to know who I was and what I wanted. So I told him, being a bit of a smartass as I did so, giving my name and pointing out I wanted nothing from him yet I had saved him from freezing to death that night. He blushed of all things after seeing the awning and fire I had built. He thanked me and introduced himself. That night I met one Connor McLeod of the Clan McLeod of Scotland. He told me, when I asked where he was headed, that he was heading towards China to seek out a master swordsmen by the name of Nakano. I asked who told him of this master swordsman and for some reason I don’t even think he understood he told me his story, about his death, his awakening, and his people sending him from his home, meeting Heather, and Ramirez and the Kurgan. All of it and his decision to travel the world, to learn to fight better so he could defeat his enemy and revenge his teacher’s death. He then asked me my story.
So I told him, trusting him since we both have our own secrets to keep that he would keep mine as I would keep his. I told him of having my own desire to travel and learn. I asked to join him which he agreed to, I think he really didn’t want to travel alone anymore at that point in time. After that day we traveled a lot together having many adventures. Too many to recall really. At that the cab stops at Connor’s store. I get out and pay the cabbie and enter hoping he is in; I really need to get my sword back from him.
