CHAPTER TWO

Willow let her eyes drift to the sleeping girl again. Her, Buffy, Xander, Oz and Giles all stood around her.
“So she’s your niece?” Buffy asked.
“Yes, Helen Morgan.” he replied.
“And she was definitely bitten…?” Oz asked.
“Yes, strangely she didn’t die nor turned into a vampire, so either the vampire did a half arse job, or…. I don’t know” Giles said as he flipped through a book.
“When is she going to wake up?” Xander asked as he gripped Giles’ night lamp tightly.
“Oh for god sakes Xander, she’s not a vampire and I highly doubt she will even have the energy to move once she wakes up!” Giles shot at Xander.
Xander nervously smiled as he lowered the lamp back onto the side table.
“So, she lived with you?” Willow asked.
“Yes and she was suppose to be under the councils protection well I was away from England” Giles replied.
“Told ya the councils evil!” Buffy said.
“yes, well I don’t think so Buffy.” Giles said well looking at her for a second.
“Well I have to go patrol, so hope she wakes up soon.” Buffy said as she grabbed a stake.
“Yes be safe” Giles yelled after Buffy as she left the house.
“Hey she’s waking up!” Willow said.
Everyone looked as Helens eyes fluttered open,
“Whutt…” she mumbled her voice cracked and her through sore.
“Helen, what happened?” Giles asked.
Helen shook her head trying to clear the cobwebs.
“I….I was bitten by …. Oh god…” she said sitting up and suddenly feeling a rush of pain in her head. Giles pushed her back onto the bed, “by who?”
“He …. I ….. Oh Uncle how could I have been so stupid?” Helen asked as fresh tears spilled out of her eyes.
“Helen tell me what happened.” Giles repeated.
“ well I met this guy at a bar a couple of months ago, he was so charming, well we started to I donno, date afterwards, but I should have known, I only saw him at night time… and after all that teaching you gave me, I was so blind” Helen trailed off.
“Helen!” Giles scolded.
“sorry, well anyways I found him … drinking form a girl and I was so scared… I ran back to my house… he chased me, and than he bite me, and I ….. I …. Ohmygod Uncle I think I loved him..” Helen muttered and hung her head in shame.
“Its ok Helen, what was his name?” Giles asked gently.
“He said his name was William” Helen said and sighed.
“What did William look like?” Oz asked.
“huh, hey who are you guys?” Helen asked.
“Helen these are Oz, Willow and Xander, now answer his question” Giles introduced them.
“Oh well, white hair lots of leather a tattoo on his back.” Helen said, bringing his image to her head.
“Hey that sounds like Spike” Willow laughed.
“Spike…….. That was William’s nick name I guess” Helen said as she rolled onto her side.
Everyone was quite as a awkward silence filled the room.
“What?” Helen asked.
“I cant believe you got bitten by SPIKE” Xander commented.
“ Hey shut up, what’s your name Sanders?” Helen said looking at him in anger.
“Its Xander” he mumbled.
“Helen…… You should get some sleep” Giles said.
Helen nodded and closed her eyes, quickly falling into a deep sleep.

Buffy’s Cell phone rung, she answered it and looked around the park.
“Hello?”
“Buffy its Giles” the voice over the phone said.
“Oh hey Giles” Buffy replied as she noticed a bush rustling.
‘LIsten my niece woke up, the guy who bit her was Spike.”
“What?” Buffy fumed as a figure stepped form behind a tree.
“Hey there slayer” it was Spike.
“Listen closely ass hole, I am going to kick your undead ass!” Buffy growled.
“Listen gatta go Giles.”
“Wait Buffy there’s more, Helen was in lov -” Buffy quickly hung up the phone as she dodged a punch from Spike.
She landed a punch to Spikes face.
“I hated you enough as it was, but going and almost killing Giles’ niece takes the cake!” Buffy said as she quickly lashed out with her foot.
Spike dodged it, “What, I bit your watchers niece and didn’t even know it?”
“Yeah does” Buffy quickly dodges another punch “Helen ring a bell?”
It took that moments distraction for Buffy to quickly nail Spike into the upper chest.
He grunted as he looked at her in horror, “What do you mean Helen?!?!”
“Ya know blond pretty girl who lived in England” Buffy said as she nailed Spike again.
“She’s still alive?” Spike asked his voice almost had a tint of worry to it.
“Yeah seems your losing your touch Spikey” Buffy taunted and was surprised when Spike ran off.
“Coward!” she yelled after him.
