Wesley found himself in the alley again. The one off of Broadway and Third. Their alley; his and Faith’s alley.

He didn’t have to wonder if she’d be there, he knew she would. He could feel her. As he knew she could probably feel him too. She knew he’d be there, she counted on it. That’s why she gave him such a hard time about it, he was so predictable.

Their trysts were becoming more and more frequent. Instead of three or four times a month, it had dramatically increased to two or three times a week. And the sex had become much more intense.

In the beginning it was pretty routine, clean cut. She’d slay, he’d watch, he’d help out if he felt it was needed, they’d
trade a few sarcastic quips and they’d screw.

But now, now they’d slay and trade some sarcastic quips and insults, but the sex didn’t come until after they were done hurting each other. They never did anything major when they fought. But the new cuts and bruises and scratches that were forming every day were getting harder and harder to explain.

Wesley found himself thinking about Faithe ofe often. Thoughts of fucking his former slayer were the only way he could enjoy sex with Lilah anymore. He found it humorous, the way she’d smile after they’d have sex. As if she’d won some big prize and was just crowned the Queen of the Roman Empire. If she only knew what really drove him to the brink…

Lilah wasn’t the only problem they had. Faith was having a hell of a hard time keeping her, “relationship” with a Wesley a secret. And the wounds, those were fun stories to make up. Trying to tell Angel that an everyday, run o the mill vamp scratched her up, caught her off guard. Yeah, it would be believable every so often. But not every other day.

She hated lying to Angel. Absolutely hated it, with a fiery passion. But she couldn’t bring herself to tell him she was screwing his former best friend. The same man that kidnapped his child. In all fairness, Faith believed Wesley had only been doing what he thought was right, but that would never bode well with Angel, or anyone else in the hotel if they found out.

She knew Angel knew something was going on. That she wasn’t telling him something. She just wasn’t too sure exactly how much he knew. He’d tried to play it cool, but he went way too over-protective on her and the last three times she went out, she had to climb out her bedroom window.

She’d almost fallen on her way down, as she was laughing from the nostalgic feeling of being fifteen again and sneaking out after curfew to patrol her neighborhood when she was first called.

Tonight though, she went out the back entrance, through the garden. She gave a few quick dustings on her way to the alley, their meeting place, but they only added to the fiery hunger inside her. A hunger for sex, for pain.

Once she got to the alley she came upon Wesley fighting a single vampire. He was handling himself well, he could’ve finished it off just fine. But she knew that if she went in and staked the vamp herself, not only would it just make her happy to have spoiled his fun, it would piss him off. And she liked when he got that way.

So she ran in, stake drawn and shoved Wesley out of her way, ramming the stake home in one quick fluid motion. The vampire dusted and Faith turned to Wesley, smiling smugly.

“Y’know, I had it under control.” He said, voice low and dangerous, but with a hint of playfulness to it.

She looked at him defiantly, a small twinkle in her eyes. “Yeah well, you were just taking so damn long. I wanted to uh, get in on the action.”

Wesley nodded. “Get in on the action?” he asked, a small smile forming across his lips.

Faith returned the nod, languidly licking her lips. “Yeah.”

Wesley continued to nod and moved as if he were turning around, but quickly faced her again, punching out at her.

Faith grinned and blocked him, shaking her head. “You know better than to try and surprise me with something like that, Wes.” She purred and punched back, catching him at the chin.

His head swung to the left as with that, his entire body swung with it. As he moved, he lifted his leg, kicking her in the side before he regained his balance.

Faith held her side and hissed, something between pleasure and pain. “Ow, Wes. That really hurt, you sure know how to turn me on.” She said, voice low and seductive as she ran her tongue across her lips, punching out at him again.

Her nails caught his face, causing three long red welts to form across his cheek.

“Oops.” She laughed as he punched her in the face.

She kicked out, bringing her knee into his stomach. Once he was hunched over her knee, she grabbed the back of his head and pulled him back, pushing him head first into the side of a dumpster.

He blocked his head with his hands, bouncing from it and grabbing her roughly from behind, gripping her tightly.

She struggled in his grasp as he tried to free herself, finding that her movements only made him harder.

He yanked her hair to one side, exposing her bare neck. He touched his lips to her neck hesitantly before snaking his tongue out and tasting the skin from her collarbone to her jaw line.

Faith closed her eyes, lips parting in a silent gasp of pleasure. She turned her head as far back as she could before Wesley met her half way, their lips meeting in a fury of kisses.

She felt his grip loosen as he roughly turned her around to face him completely, arms wrapping around her waist possessively.

They pulled apart and stared at each other before he shoved her against the building and whispered her name before kissing her harshly.

“Faith…”

He let his lips run over her neck and chest as he knelt in front her. He lifted her shirt a little and kissed her flat stomach, just under her navel, making her moan lightly as he continued to move lower.

“Wes…” she moaned, unable to control the words coming from her mouth.

Names had never been spoken until just then. But it didn’t phase either of them.

He stopped when he reached the top of her pants and kissed his way back up her body, lips meeting hers again. His hands roamed her body before unfastening her pants.

She unbuttoned his shirt, hands walking over his skin. Skin with scars, scars that she made.

When he thrust up into her without warning, she cried out, gripping his shoulders tightly, nails digging into his skin.

By the end of the night, new scars would mar his body.

By the end of the night, they’d both have a few new cuts and bruises to explain.

By the end of the night, the figure standing in the depths of the alley would have taped everything without being seen.

By the end of the night, someone’s life would be on the line.
******************************
Wesley had gotten back to his apartment at one in the morning. He’d had no problem falling asleep. His alarm buzzed at six thirty, waking him up and making him none too happy.

He sat up slowly, feeling the effects of his previous engagements with Faith. His cheek stung, his shoulders were sore and his stomach felt as if he’d been dry heaving all night.

There was a knock at the door and he sighed, shaking his head and laughing dryly. He was tempted to just ignore whoever it was, hope they’d get the hint and just go away. But the knocking came again, this time more persistent.

When he finally got up and opened the door, he frowned at the sight and Lilah at his door, arms crossed, foot tapping impatiently.

“Can you move a little slower? Some of us don’t have jobs or lives.” She said angrily as she pushed passed him.

“Please, do come in.” Wesley said sarcasticly as he shut the door and turned to face, crossing his arms in annoyance. “Lilah, what do you want?”

Lilah smiled. “I just thought you’d like to know about that little Slayer bitch. The crazy one who almost killed you? Well, she’s out. Of prison.”

Wesley looked at Lilah and shook his head. “Yes?”

“You do remember her trying to beat you to death, right? Because I thought you’d be a little more, I don’t know… not happy right now.” She shook her head.

Wesley smirked. “So, you came here first thing in the morning to tell me something that you thought would make me unhappy? Nice, Lilah. Real nice.” He nodded and sighed.

Lilah rolled her eyes. “Forget it, Wesley. I just thought I’d let you know that Wolfram and Hart has an assassin out with her name on the top of their list.” She smiled.

Wesley’s face hardened, his eyes darkened and he stared at Lilah, taking a step closer. “What are you saying, Lilah?”

“I’m saying that Faith signed a contract with Wolfram and Hart that she never fulfilled. Now she can either fulfill her end of the bargain and never hear from us again, or her name ends up on our long list of ‘Casualties of War’.”

Wesley opened his mouth, but no sound came out.

“And, well, since she’s living with Mr. I Have a Soul himself, I don’t think she’s going to try and kill him anytime soon.”

Lilah sighed and walked passed Wesley, opening the door. She was just stepping out when Wesley grabbed her arm
and pulled her back inside.

“Why are you telling me this?”

Lilah stared at him, eyes hard. “Because if I know you, you’ll run and try to save her. Or warn her anyway. And that gets Angel involved. Either way, one of them is going to die. Doesn’t matter which one, it’s no skin off of my back. But it’ll be a job I put together and planned out and did well. Senior partners’ll love it.” She smiled and wrenched her arm from his grasp, pulling the door shut as she left.

It took a moment for everything Lilah said to sink in, but once it did, Wesley rushed out the door.
******************************
Wesley jerked his car to a stop outside the Hyperion and jumped out, running into the hotel lobby. He desperately looked around for the Slayer, praying he wasn’t too late.

“Faith!” he called, cautiously stepping into the lobby.

He glanced up when he heard a door open, then close and feet came bounding down the stairs. When he turned, it was Gunn he came face to face with and the young did not look happy to see old friends.

“I think you’d better leave.” He said calmly, crossing his arms and staring the former watcher dead in the eye.

Wesley shook his head. “I just have to speak with Faith. It’s very importa-“

“It’s okay, Gunn.” Angel interrupted from his office.

Wesley turned to the vampire and opened his mouth to speak, but the vampire beat him to it.

“Faith’s not here. She’s out with Fred, should be back any minute.”

There was an awkward silence as Gunn shrugged and headed back upstairs. Angel listened and waited until he was sure Gunn couldn’t hear them.

“You can stay and wait, if it’s that important. I’ve been wanting to talk to you anyway.”

Wesley nodded hesitantly. “About?”

Angel shrugged, crossing his arms and leaning against the counter. “Oh, you, Faith, Lilah.”

“Angel, I-“

Angel stopped him by holding his hand up and shaking his head.

“I know about you and Faith. That you’re sleeping together… and beating each other which seems to be your sick form of foreplay.”

Wesley swallowed. “I wasn’t aware Faith told-“

“She didn’t. Jesus, did the two of you learn anything about vampires besides how to spot and kill them?” he asked, voice thick with sarcasm.

Wesley looked at him in confusion.

Angel sighed and pointed to his nose and began to pace the room. “Keen sense of smell,Wes. She comes home almost every night smelling like you.” he chuckled.

“And as you know, I know about you and Lilah. And even though what you do with your life and your relationships is none of my business… Faith is.”

He stopped pacing and looked Wesley dead in the eyes. He walked closer.
“She’s been out of jail for three and a half months. She’s doing great.” He paused and sighed. “What I’m saying here Wes, is, if anything happens to her… if you or Lilah, or any one of her little Wolfram and Hart buddies do anything that hurts her or her chances at staying clean… I will make your lives living hells. That includes, you, Lilah, and anyone else that was involved.”

Wesley nodded slowly as he tried to find his voice. It had been a while since Angel had last intimidated him, but he;d done a hell of a job just then.

“Faith knows about Lilah… and the non-relationship we have. I’m not going to hurt her Angel, I promise you that.”
Angel nodded and gave Wes a pat on the shoulder. One of those pats that said ‘I’ll believe you for now, but if you’re lying and I find out, I’ll rip your head off.’

“Good.”
Wesley thought a moment before deciding that maybe it would be best if someone other then himself knew what was going on.

“Angel, I…”

He sighed and started again.

“What Faith first came to LA, she signed a contract with Wolfram and Hart. The one to k-“

“The contract to kill me.” Angel interrupted, looking at Wesley curiously.

Wesley nodded and continued.

“Yes, but, obviously, Faith didn’t fulfill her end of the deal. And now, Wolfram and Hart want her to either do her part
or they’ll-“

“Kill her.” Angel finished.
