A pink glow began to tinge the blackened sky, slowly growing more orange in color. A slight breeze caressed her face, and she closed her eyes breathing in deeply. A sigh escaped as a tear fell down her cheek. A shiver coursed through her body as she felt a thumb wipe it away.
“What are you doing out here B?’ Faith said quietly. Buffy opened her eyes to see the younger slayer crouched before her, eyes staring intently. Her thumb traced across Buffy’s lips.
“Just watching the sunrise.” Her gazed shifted from Faith’s to the horizon. The brunette sat there a moment looking at the blonde then she stood up. Buffy felt as Faith eased in behind her wrapping her arms around her waist, and resting her chin on the blondes shoulder. They sat in silence for a few moments. ‘I had a dream…..’ Buffy whispered. ‘It was about you Faith. I….. I killed you, I stabbed you again.’ Tears fell as she spoke.
