Book One: Lovers
2.There's Right
Angel's POV
It's something unpredictable / but in the end there's right / I hope you've had the time of your life//
~*~*~*~
I rolled onto my side, smirking at Spike over Buffy's head. We'd been living together for 3 weeks at that point, in Buffy's apartment. ((Please. I am not living in hotel!!)) For 2 of those weeks Spike and I hadn trn trying to get her to tell her friends the three of us were together. And we were together, in every sense of the word. It was decision we'd made together that night in her club.
Obviously, my employees that'd been helping that night (Lorne, Gun, Wesley, Faith and most obviously Spike) knew about us, but no one outside of my hotel, Buffy and her bartender knew, particularly not Giles, Willow, Xander or Dawn. Spike and I were well aware that she spoke once weekly with all of the Scoobies via videophone (Dawn and Xander would drive the three hours to L.A. and stay all weekend most weeks, to talk to Willow and Kennedy in New York, and Giles and Olivia in England on one of those conference call things. Faith usually joined in too). It was Monday. We had five days to convince her and we knew exactly how to do it.
~*~*~*~
"Oh God," Buffy whined, hitting Spike's shoulders.
"Promise," I order in responce. She fell back against the pillows and smiled innocently up at her.
"This has to be illegal in some way," she moaned as he used his thumbs to spread her and licked teasingly up her clit. I returned my mouth to her nipple. Her arms were chained to the bed after attempting to speed up the torture hours ago.
"Like we care," Spike retorted. Her glare was inefectual and pointless, as Spike was too busy denying her orgasm to notice.
Now for obvious reasons, oral sex is different between genders, so somebody skilled at giving a guy head is not necessarily as skilled at doing the same for a girl, but from experience and from what I've heard, Spike is amazing at both. And from the whining sounds Buffy kept making, I think she'd agree.
"Alright, alright, I'll tell them!" She finally gave up. "Just let me come, dammit!"
Within seconds Spike was fully sheathed inside of her, but he held still. "Promise, luv."
"I do! I do promise!" her voice softened a little. "I love you guys, adn that's more important than what they think now."
Nodding, Spike began to move gently, slowly, and Buffy looked over at me, clearly not wanting to leave anyone out. She never did. If at all possible she wanted the three of us together every time. She hated choosing sides.
Carefully she stilled Spike and rolled them to one side. Looking back at me over her shoulder, she whispered "I want you too."
I groaned at the thought, but shook my head. "I had had anal sex before, I was well over 250 years old at the time, but it was always whores or Spike that I'd had it with, not my innocent little Buffy who I knew had never done it before. "I don't want to hurt you."
"Please."
I looked at Spike, who shrugged. Beaten, I sighed, and looked around for a lubricant. Finding body oil on her nightstand I squeezed some into her passage, worming two fingers in and thrusting lightly. When I was sure I had added as much of the oil as I could, I coated my cock and pushed into her, trying not to be too rough. She gasped and I saw Spike brush away a tear. We were still for a few moments and she continued to cry until I couldn't stand it anymoreand began to pull out.
She gasped, her hips following mine and then rocking to meet Spike's thrust. I think my eyes crossed at the heady pleasure of it, her warm body around me, tighter even than our first night together, my cock bumping Spike's through the thin barrier between her entrances, the moment made sweeter still by the love that twisted and knotted around us, holding us so close we couldn't have seperated if we wanted too. We were one.
~*~*~*~
Buffy nervously opened the door to her apartment. Dawn and Xander walked in, arms ladden with coffee and donuts, which they set on the table in her living/dining room. Faith sat at said table smirking as the new arrivals passed drinks out.
"And here's your double mocha, Buff," Xander handed her the mug, snapping Buffy out of her nervous musings and back to the present. She meant every word she'd said to Angel and Spike, who were also at the table. She loved them and that was all that mattered now, but God she didn't want to lose her friends. Not after everything...
"Thanks Xand," she mumbled, sinking into her seat; Willow was already on the video moniter. They were ready to start. "Okay, first things first, GIles called and said he can't make the next few meetings. He and Olivia are taking the kids to France, so he won't be reachable by anyone but the Council and only in emergencies, so watcherly stuff will have to go to Wes for awhile, or Dawn."
"Any demony stuff? No? Good, let's get personal," Faith interrupted. Both Summers sisters scowled at her. "Dawn, you first?"
Buffy looked at her little sister, who'd just grabbed Xander's hand. Her eyes traveled to Xander who only looked guilty. Her eyes widened. "Oh."
"Buff, we didn't..." Xander started. "It just happened..."
'How... how long?"
"Two months," he answered, looking at his girlfriend. "I love her."
Dawn looked back at him, smiling as he defiantly slipped an arm around her. She put a hand on her stomach and added "there's more," she looked at Xander again and swallowed. "I'm pregnant."
Buffy gasped, swearing she'd stopped breathing. Dawn was twenty! How the Hell could she raise a baby? You were twenty when you got custody of her, and single, and you did okay... Buffy scolded herself. She's a good kid. And she has Xander. They'll take care of each other.
"We want to get married," Dawn continued quietly. "I'm going to stay in school and take summer courses so I can finish sooner, maybe even before the baby's born, and we're going to move closer to L.A. so Xander can get more work and we can see you more too... Buffy please say something."
"I'm gonna be an auntie," she whispered, standing, walking to her sister and putting a hand on her stomach. "That's my little niece or nephew in there," she waved to the unborn baby. "Hi little niece or nephew!"
"You're not mad?" Dawn whispered.
"You should have told me sooner," Buffy reprimanded. "But I love you and I trust you two together," she smiled, tears gathering in her eyes, and then she turned to Xander. "You leave her at the alter and I'll beat you to death with a shoe."
"Yours or hers?" he teased, then hugged Buffy quickly. Willow let out a cry of joy over the moniter and Buffy and Dawn laughed, hugging each other close.
"Yay! A wedding!" Willow applauded. "No green bridesmaids dresses though Dawn, please."
"I want Giles there," Dawn announced. "And I want to fit into my dress so I think the actual ceremony will have to wait until the baby's here and just elope before the birth," she exchanged a glance with Xander for confirmation, the kind of glance couples who've been together forever and can read each others' faces like books and Buffy's heart swelled to see them.
"Well, now that that's out there," Faith, still playing devil's advocate, smirk still in place, spoke. "B?"
The glare her sister Slayer sent her was enough to stab her and knock her off a building again, but Faith only smiled, knowing Buffy would never follow through. Sighing, the blond went to sit down, but instead of taking her seat, she settled on Angels lap, and grabbed Spike's hand in hers.
~*~*~*~
"You're back together!" Willow squeeled happily. Spike rose an eyebrow at her and I sighed. We'd known all along that her friends would react to her being with me better than with him, but I imagine he still felt insignificant with her friends cheering for me.
"Not exactlly," Buffy corrected, looking at Spike. "I mean we are, but it's not just... us..."
"Oh!" the witch looked confused for a minute before her eyes got wider. "Oh. Wow."
"I understand if you don't approve, but I love Spike and I love Angel and as much asyou guys mean to me, that comes first for me now," Buffy rushed through the sentence.
"What? When? How?" Dawn sputtered, her expression mimicking Buffy's only minutes before.
"Three weeks ago," I spoke up. "We didn't plan it. I don't think any of us saw this coming, but it did. And it's right." Oh God I'm starting to sound like her...
"I... um... what do I say?" Dawn seemed so confused that I really felt sorry for her. Her big sister had always been her hero, and now she was faced with Buffy's humanity, and her boyfriends' lack thereof... again. "Wh... why didn't you tell me?"
"Why didn't we tell her?" Xander countered. "Sometimes the one thing that can make someone happy can also be the one thing that people can't accept." I blinked at Xander's preceptiveness. Buffy had been right about him growing up. "What? Willow dated a wherewolf, then a witch, now a Slayer; I dated Cordelia and a vengence demon and now the Key; Dawn's first kiss was a vampire," Spike smirked and mouthed 'runs in the family,' Buffy kicked him under the family and he grabbed her thigh. "... and now me," Xander finished. "I think we can be okay with Buffy's decision to be with two of the goodest goodguys out there... provided I can still call Angel Deadboy."
Buffy slid out of my lap and hugged Xander for the second time that night, then smiled down at her sister. "You got a good one Dawnie."
"I know," Xander smirked.
Dawn reached up and smacked her fiance for that, then glared at Spike and I. "If you even think of hurting again I'll..."
"Be too pregnant to do anything?" Spike ducked the muffin thrown at him from across the room.
"Wills?" Buffy ignored them and looked to her other friend. Willow smiled at us from the wall moniter.
"If Dawn can't do anything I will," she warned. "But I'm happy for you too."
I found myself eternally grateful for my love's friends. A new respect for Xander, and for Dawn rose, as well. They were being responsible, despite her age, despite the fact that they'd only been together for mere months. They were strong.
I'd like to think Buffy and Spike or I would react the same way. I'd like to think facing something so unpredictable we would make it as right as they have.
We have made something unpredictable as right as they have.
