Xander downplayed the awkward feelings he was expierencing at Buffy’s willingness to hang out with, who in Xander’s mind, was a huge scum bag, but smiled to himself as the door shut behind Riley, happy that that clown had finally left before he turned to Willow what’s up bestest bud?” he asked her semi-brightly.
“Oh, not…”
“I cannot believe you.” Buffy interrupted in a normal speaking voice. A voice that told Xander that she was too angry to react properly…with the yelling and all, and he turned to face her.
“What?” he asked defensively, holding up his hands as Buffy pushed her way past him and walked quickly from behind the counter. Xander made move to follow her and reached out to grasp her forearm, only to have her jerk it away.
Buffy shook her head at the confused look she received for her actions, not sure what she wanted to say to him. She didn’t know if she had anything to say to him, if she even wanted to see him right now.
“You can take lunch now Buff,” Willow said sympathetically to her best friend, “I’ll hold down the fort here till Giles gets back.”
“Thanks Wills,” Buffy said, her voice softer when directed to the other woman, “I’ll be back in a few.”
Xander cast Willow a look that was a mixture of sadness and confusion before he chased after Buffy when she didn’t acknowledge him, turned on her heel and, the best word he could think to describe her exit was, storm out of the store.
“Buff!” he called, jogging down the street, “Wait up! Jesus,” he finally caught up to her and she turned abruptly to face him.
“What?!” she practically screamed at him before collecting herself and repeating more calmly, “What?”
Xander just looked at her, trying to regain his breath, “Yeah,” he agreed, “What?”
Buffy just let out a breath and starred at him wide eyed, “Do you know what you did back there? How embarrassing that was? What…”
“That jerk-off was trying to get in your pants…forgive me for coming to my fiancées defense. I mean jeez Buffy, I don’t know what got into me when I walked in on you guys chopping it up…” Xander’s voice rose while they starred each other down.
“So you don’t trust me?” she asked suddenly, cutting him off.
“What?” Xander asked again, “No…I mean yes…I never said that. Of course I trust…”
“Then I’m just not what…Allowed…to talk to other guys?” she asked shaking her head.
“I’d like to think that you wouldn’t be dating other guys, that’s all,” Xander exasperated. “And when other guys ask you out REPEATEDLY in front of me, yeah, I feel a need to let them know…”
“Let them know what?” The Slayer bite out at him.
“That you’re mine.” Xander immediately recognized that that was the wrong answer as Buffy started walking again.
“I’m not yours.” Buffy whispered, “When I said I’d marry you, I never said that it was a possession thing,”
“But it is,” Xander argued, catching up to her as the, all but ran down the street, “I’d be YOUR husband, just like you’d be MY wife. Possessive titles and all.”
Buffy turned another corner and didn’t slow down, “Yeah, well maybe you need to rethink some things…”
“Are you?” Xander asked quietly, afraid of her answer.
“I don’t want to be owned.” Was all she said, “Especially not by someone who doesn’t trust me.”
Xander reached out and grabbed her arm, forcing the Slayer to stop in her tracks or drag him down the street. Luckily for him she chose the former. “I do trust you,” he insisted, “I don’t trust that goob.” Xander tilted his head and let out a half smile, “and I get jealous.” He added quietly, “I love you Buffy, and other guys talking to you…seeing the beauty and the…the magnificence that you just…you just exude,” he settled on the words, “It makes me think that they’ll try even harder to get that for themselves…I mean, I would. If I saw you I wouldn’t care if you were going home to Brad Pitt, I’d offer you a ride…”
Buffy smiled slightly and Xander took it as a good sign, slowly pulling her small frame into him arms. “And I’m no Brad Pitt,” he added with a chuckle. He felt her laugh into his chest and mumble something into his shirt. “What?” he asked softly, stroking her hair.
Buffy pulled back so that she could look into his eyes, “I just agreed with you,” she grinned at him, “You are no Brad Pitt.”
Xander tossed her a mock hurt look and loosened his hold on her before Buffy continued, “And I’m not rethinking anything,” she whispered to him, in response to his earlier question, “I’m just…just…”
“Cold feet?” Xander asked casting her a sideways glance, now taking her hand as Buffy allowed herself to be lead down the street.
“I don’t even want to call it that,” Buffy shook her head, apparently mining her thoughts. “This…Us…I’ve never been so sure of something in my life…”
“Me either,” Xander agreed.
“But then why…” Buffy started after giving him a soft smile, “Why am I so…I don’t know. I don’t even really know what I feel…”
“If it helps,” Xander stated as they reached the destination that Buffy had no idea she was headed toward and they climbed the steps to his apartment building, “I get nervous about it too.” They walked to the elevator and waited for it. “But I think that the fluttery feeling in my stomach…every time I look at you…I think it’s just excitement, you know, like I get to see you everyday for the rest of my life and that’s everything I’ve ever wanted…”
Buffy watched him out of the corner of her eye as she focused on the elevator door as it closed in front of them. Xander spoke again, “Sometimes,” he pushed his floor button, “Sometimes at night, I can’t believe that I’m going to be married soon, and it wakes me up. But then I look around, and I see you sleeping right next to me…and I like that idea…that when ever I wake up you’ll always be there and whatever…feeling…I had that woke me up, it goes away. You make it go away.”
The elevator door opened and Xander stepped out, tugging Buffy’s hand gently so she followed, but she offered slight resistance. “Thank you,” she whispered when Xander turned to face her. “Thank you,” she repeated, raising to her tip-toes and pressing a lingering kiss to his lips, sighing into his mouth, before pulling away with a grin.
They walked to Xander’s apartment and he unlocked the door, stepping aside so that Buffy could enter first. When she did, Xander beamed in pride from behind her as she took in the seen he had orcastrated in his living room. Before Xander had went to the Magic Box he had returned to the apartment and set up a small picnic on the floor in the sitting room. It had everything, complete with blanket and basket.
“Xan,” Buffy drawled out in a low voice, “How am I supposed to stay mad at you when you do things like this?”
Xander stepped around her quickly and grabbed her right hand, pulling her further into the room, “Well, you’re not supposed to,” he grinned. “When I combine my extreme romanticism with my sappy compliments you have to bend to my whim. Plus, now I know how to apologize without all the expensivness.” He tugged his girlfriend over to the set-up and motioned for her to sit down with a small grin on his face.
Xander started to unpack the basket while Buffy watched him, “Ooh,” she commented excitedly, “Sushi. You hate sushi.” She commented while he set up the various types that he knew she enjoyed in front of her.
“Yeah, but you love it, so…” he trailed of, tossing her another smile. “So, I’m forgiven?”
Buffy looked at him warily while he turned on his infamous puppy-dog eyes. “Pleeaasssseeee…” Xander whined a little, adding a small whimper for effect.
“I’ll think about it,” Buffy settled before picking up a piece of Mahi-Mahi. She tried to stifle a giggle at Xander’s put-out expression while he watched her eat, “You not hungry?” she asked after a while of silence.
Xander narrowed his eyes at her, “I see I’m going to have to pull out the big guns.”
Buffy stopped mid-chew as Xander leaned towards her, almost pushing her back into the couch as she moved with him, neither touching the other. He smiled at her, mere millimeters from her face as she watched him curiously, his hand fishing under the cushions of his couch Buffy’s eyes flicked back and forth between Xander’s lips and his eyes as she wondered why he was that close to her face, apparently with no intention of kissing her. He obviously wasn’t going to play this game by her rules. “I’ve got to pick up Dawn soon.” She offered quietly, as Xander apparently found what he was looking for and sat back slowly, a wide grin on his face.
“School’s not out till 3.” Xander stated, not reveling what he had retrieved from behind her yet. “It’s 1:15.”
“Yeah,” Buffy swallowed, trying to pretend that she wasn’t dying to know what he was hiding from her, “but I left my car at the shop.”
Xander nodded, “And I’ve got to go back to work soon… what exactly do you think is going to happen here today?” he offered with an innocent leer in place. “I just wanted you to have some lunch with me, certainly not an all day affair.”
Buffy took a bite of spring roll at his disconcerting comment, “Certainly not.” She agreed.
“I’ll have you back in time.” Her boyfriend assured, picking up something that was wrapped in some kind of green stuff and taking a bite. Buffy watched as his face contorted and he forced himself to swallow the bite with a grimace.
“Good,” Buffy let out a chuckle at him, “I don’t want to keep Willow waiting wasting time with you.”
Xander raised his eyebrows at her, “Really? Wasting time?” he laughed sarcastically. “Huh, well in that case, I guess you won’t be wanting… oh never mind…” he sighed and picked up something that was mostly rice.
“You’re not going to get me with that.” Buffy defied his with a light hearted tone.
Xander looked at her skeptically and slid a rectangular velvet box to her on the floor and watched as Buffy’s eyes flicked from it to him. “Forgive me?” he asked ag as as Buffy had not moved to pick up the object.
“What’s that?” she asked.
“Open it and see.” Xander coaxed. “I believe you said a wife’s forgiveness is a pretty expensive market.”
Buffy offered him a half smile and a nervous chuckle, “I was just joking, ya know. You don’t have to buy me things…”
“I know,” Xander told her softly, “but I like doing it.” He watched his girlfriend pick up the box, “Plus ‘Thank you sex’ with you is just a notch below ‘Make up sex’.”
Buffy shook her head at the completely Xander comment and flipped open the lid.
“You really don’t have to do this,” Buffy’s voice shook as she looked at the silver diamond cross pendant inside.
Xander just smiled at her. “What?” he asked, “You don’t like it?”
Buffy shook her head slowly, “No. I mean, yeah. I like it.”
“Great.” Xander exclaimed despite Buffy’s distracted tone. “Now you owe mw both,” he added with a innocent smirk.
Buffy nodded at him, keeping her eyes focused on the necklace. “Yeah, both.”
Xander leaned over and kissed her, tilting her head up with his lips on hers. He reached his head around and cupped the back of her head, holding her in place while he forced his tongue into her mouth and moved it slowly along hers. Xander slowly leaned further forward causing Buffy to lean back into the couch, the lunch forgotten, as he moved onto his knees and inched towards her.
Buffy moved with him, only vaguely focused on his kiss. She was kicking herself for that. She could tell, for what she was paying attention to, that he was pouring everything that he was into it. Both of his large hands were framing her face, holding her while he played with her lips, forcing her to take his kiss just as he wanted to give it and lean back in submission.
But his gift…
She had to assume it was expensive. And he had given to her right after he had brought her an engagement ring, and put a down payment on a new apartment, and his Christmas gift of wardrobe expansion.
It was another aspect of their relationship she was having a problem with. She worked at the Magic Box and went to school. Her mother brought her food, paid her tuition, room and board, credit card bills…and now Xander was stepping in to do that. She figured that her mother had to do that type of stuff for her, but Xander…she would be in debt to him until the end of time, the least she could do was marry him. Buffy scolded herself for that thought. Marriage shouldn’t be a conditional agreement. She hated that she needed to reduce her love to that to be able to keep the butterflies in her stomach from flying out of her mouth in liquid form and spewing themselves all over Xander’s shirt.
Buffy pulled her face back from his, still being cradled by his hands. “How do you do this?” she asked him quietly.
“Do what?” he asked, his eyes darting from her lips to her eyes and back again.
Buffy knew that he hated when she stopped his advancements with conversation. She thought it had almost the same effect on him as when she insisted that they talk while he was driving, only when they were making out and he was all horny his eyes would focus on her mouth as if to tell her to stop using it for words so much as sucking.
“Buy all this stuff.” Buffy didn’t give in this time. Truth be told, she thought that if she were to just keep accepting everything, no questions asked, she would be deeper that she was in this. She was going to exercise the talking that she had chastised herself for earlier for avoiding.
“Think of it as a early birthday present.” Xander grinned and dipped down to catch her lips again, but sighed when she turned to catch the kiss on the side of her mouth.
“You buy all this stuff for me and you only work construction. You’re going to be broke…”
“I buy all this stuff for us.” Xander corrected. “And construction pays the bills…”
“Does it?” Buffy pressed. “Yours and mine…”
“Ours.”
“I don’t put anything into this thing,” Buffy shook her head and pushed his away.
Xander sat back on the floor confused at her mood change and watched as she stood up still holding the necklace box. “You put everything into this ‘thing’.” He spit out the word when he saw her toss the box onto the sofa. “Everything I do is for us…”
“Yeah,” Buffy sighed. “And I don’t want you to do everything. I want some stuff on my own, you know? You have stuff on your own.”
Xander stood to his feet and held out his arms in surrender. “You’re gonna be on the new lease too.”
Buffy tilted her head in awe.
“I thought we cleared all this up on the way up here.” Xander said next. “I thought we agreed that as a couple there’re jitters, but that’s all they are. You don’t have to get all defensive over a gift. Sometimes I just want to do something nice for my fiancé. I like doing things for you.”
“You agreed on that Xander.” Buffy argued. Now both on the defensive. “I just didn’t know what to say…”
“So you jam your tongue down my throat in hopes of duping me into security?” he accused.
“Yeah, well Xander…”
“No, Buffy. Don’t sarcastically agree with me and piss me off more. You can’t jerk me around like this.” Xander crossed his arms in front of himself. “This is a relationship. An adult one. We have to talk things out…”
Buffy’s chin shook with her frustration. “And I don’t talk well…”
“You need to learn.”
“And so do you. You should know by now that every time I freak about something I do everything with my mouth but what I should, and talk about it. Why the hell do you think you just found out I was nervous half an hour ago, huh? You can’t think that it was a recent development Xander, and you can’t think that just because you said that I chase your goddamned jitters away that you do the same for me. My jitters don’t go away…”
Xander set his jaw, setting a hard face even though his heart may have just broken – shattered in his chest. If he didn’t offer her solace…comfort, that what kind of marriage would they have. Xander loved being her boyfriend, her fiancé, but if he weren’t her friend through all that, than what was he? “And Frat boy can?” he fired at her.
Buffy matched his look. “I can’t believe you,” she spat. “He came into the shop to buy magic crap…”
“He came into the shop to ask you out, Buffy. Not even you are that naive. And you encouraged him. If you want to…”
“Don’t even complete that sentence,” Buffy warned with wide eyes. “I swear Xander, if do… do…”
“What?” he challenged. “You’ll prove me right?”
“Are you challenging me?!” Buffy stared him down. “If you want to throw down the gauntlet, we’ll see who…”
“So cheat on me!” Xander threw his arms in the air.
“That’s what you’re accusing me of!”
“That’s what you’re fucking threatening to do anyway! Jesus Christ, Buffy! Maybe you should revert to you’re not talking method and just fuck me until you feel better! I know I’ll be better off for it.” Xander reached down and grabbed his cock through his jeans and shook to emphasize his point.
Buffy’s mouth dropped open and she tried to mask the hurt in her eyes with anger, not that it was hard. The anger was right there below the surface anyways. “I’m going back to work.” She said turning and flinging open the door. “You need some time alone to gather what’s left of your sanity.”
“Whatever,” Xander waved his hand at her dismissively as he turned back to his picnic and heard the door to his apartment slam shut. He didn’t know weather to cry over a possibly failed relationship or to punch through a wall over his own asinine comments…or hers. How dare she threaten to cheat on him! All he ever tried to do was make Buffy happy. Every day and night that was all he did, and did she appreciate him for it. Did she appreciate him for anything other than the orgasms during the course of their whole relationship? No. So why should she start now? And it was his dumbass fault for expecting her too. Xander didn’t care if hid mind was trying to remind his heart that Buffy was in love with him and he knew it. Right now, he needed to be a little bit mad at her. He needed to hate her a little. That was his right, just as much as it was hers, and she had spent a lot more time exercising it than him, so Xander deserved this time.
Xander turned and swung and felt his fist crumple through the drywall next to his kitchen counter. He didn’t even care about the cheap construction that he had ruined, he was moving out anyway. He…they had a three bedroom place on the other side of town in a new building that he had put a payment down on. Xander laughed bitterly as his hand started to sting and he pulled his fist out of the wall. He cradled his now bloody hand and walked towards the bathroom, his anger and hurt now transformed into pain, a distraction that was well worth the security deposit he was going to loose.
He set about bandaging himself up, a feat he had not done alone since he and Buffy started going out, and he shook his head sadly knowing what he had to do. He would go find Buffy after work and apologize. He didn’t know if he thought that he was the only one that needed to make amends, if he should expect the same from her; but he would be the one to back down. If he had learned anything since the time that he was fifteen, it was that he didn’t want to live without Buffy. He wouldn’t let his mouth damn him to do the impossible.
~*~*~
Summer’s House
7:37 PM
Buffy ran her hand through her hair in several attempts to get it to fall correctly – she was going for casual, in an ‘I just woke up’ knid of way, but not sloppy. That was Xander’s favorite look actually, she wondered if…
It didn’t matter.
What did matter was that her fiancé, her Xander didn’t trust her, and he was going to pay for that. Had he not vocalized his belief that he thought that she would cheat on him with Riley she would not have left his apartment to go back to work, and had that not happened she would not have caught Riley when he came back into the shop again. It was Xander’s fault, really, that she was going to have coffee with the other man.
Satisfied that her makeup was alright and now her hair was perfect, Buffy exited the bathroom. She never intended on accepting any type of date proposal from anybody ever again, but Xander deserved it. She loved him. But Buffy the Vampire Slayer was not one to stand idly by and be abused verbally or otherwise, and she would not let Xander be the first. Of course she wouldn’t do anything inappropriate with Riley, but she couldn’t deny that it felt good to have somebody other than Xander want her.
Riley had seemed so nervous when he reappeared in the shop, and Buffy could understand why. Willow was staring daggers at him, Giles was stammering in confusion as to why the young man was trying to pick up his engaged Slayer and had actually been rather cold, Tara was sending both of them uncertain looks, and Dawn had asked outright, several times, how Xander felt about him trying to screw his future wife.
Buffy laughed nervously at her friend’s reactions and Riley seemed to sweat more than she toguht was humanly possible, and Xander sweat a lot. Nonetheless, he had apologized for earlier, for causing trouble in her relationship, and for the facat hat he had come back for reasons he couldn’t give her. Then, much to the shock of everybody in the room, he asked if she wanted to get some coffee with him – said that if he couldn’t date her, at least he wanted a new friend…and Buffy had accepted with a smile…and everybody hastily got back to work. Now, it seemed that she had a date.
Buffy grabbed her purse and tucked a stake inside just in case.
“You’re such a ho bag.” Dawn commented as she stepped into her sister’s room, careful to avoid a pair of Xander’s boots that were lying in the middle of the floor. “I can’t believe you’re actually going on a date with another guy just cuz you and Xander had a fight.”
Buffy set her jaw at her sister. “I don’t have to justify myself to you, for one. And two, I’m not going out on a date.”
Dawn rolled her eyes at the Slayer. “Right,” she drawled out, “Then why aren’t you wearing your ring?”
Buffy glanced down a the bare ring finger of her left hand and then to her dresser where the diamond ring sat. She sent a hard glare to her little sister, “I took it off because I took a shower…my hands get all soapy and…it slips…”
“So do you want the giant A in orange, or classic red?”
“Did anybody ever tell you that reading is very unflattering on a girl?” Buffy shot at her sister with narrowed eyes.
“Spell unflattering.” Dawn smirked back.
Buffy opened her mouth to fire another quip but w3as distracted by the sound of the front door unlocking and opening. She knew that her mom was in the kitchen, and Satan…Dawn was standing right in front of her, so that left one other person that had a key to the house…
“Buff?!”
Xander.
Dawn watched Buffy’s eyes widen in horror. “What? Xander won’t like you going for coffee with you new friend?” she asked with a superior smirk.
Buffy listened to Xander’s muffled voice as he talked to her mother downstairs before hearing his footsteps on the stairs. “Leave.” She said steadily to her sister.
“You can’t possibly still be mad at me.” Xander set his puppy dog eyes in place as he peered around the doorframe of her room.
“Not you,” Buffy’s voice softened instinctively when she looked at him. It didn’t matter that was still mad with him, whenever she went hours with out seeing him every ass hole move he ever pulled was temporarily pushed to the back of her mind. Even when he made her life a living hell, he was still the best part of her day. “Her.” She accentuated her point by shoving Dawn through the door just as Xander entered.
“Hey!” Dawn protested as she was moved into the hall, “Mom said don’t pu…”
Buffy cut her off by slamming the door in her face before turning to face Xander. He was regarding her with a downcast unsure grin. “You forgot this earlier,” he said holding out the necklace in his bandaged hand. He had no idea how to break the ice with her, and figured that he should try small talk before dropping to his knees and begging for forgiveness.
“What happened to you?” she asked, her voice full of concern as she took the item off of him.
Xander chuckled nervously. “I…I got mad at myself…about what I said to you…Look Buffy, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean…”
Buffy reached out and took his hand in hers, surveying the damage. She didn’t want his apologies for something he had obviously meant, and had said mere hours before. As far as she was concerned that just meant that he was just doing what was necessary to appease her – that he knew he was wrong, but didn’t know exactly why. Buffy would rather just accept his comment than have him degrade it further by offering empty apologies.
“We’re going to have fights Xander.” She cut him off simply and released his hand, letting it fall back limply to his side. She cursed herself for not telling him the results of her own reaction to his earlier outburst. The result that was probably on his way to her house right now.
“I know.” He sighed and watched her dismissively placed the jewelry back on her dresser. “And I’m going to say I’m sorry…a lot…”
“And I’m going to accept your apologies…a lot.” Buffy turned and grinned at him. A genuine grin that melted his heart on the spot because he had not seen her give one since that morning. Because she seemed to be under some sort of fog all day, and all of the sudden it was lifted. “I figure it’s part of the new roles we’ll be in.”
“My grandpa always did say that the men are always the ones who fucked up, we just have to find us a woman who’ll forgive it.” Xander nodded as he finally approached her. He sighed in relief when she didn’t retreat when he pulled her into his arms, and he grinned into the top of her head when she relaxed against him, her head against his chest and her arms low around his waist. “Did I find mine?”
Buffy chuckled into his shirt at the innocent smile she heard in his voice. “You had better hope so,” she replied in kind, “You asked me to marry you, and if you break it off I’m keeping everything you’ve got.”
“Only the stuff I’ve given you.” He told her while tightening his hold.
“Nope,” she denied and lifted her head to grin in his face. “Everything. I’ll have you living on the street.”
Xander’s pout was infamous, and he had just put it into play making Buffy’s heart melt. “You’d make me live on the street?”
Buffy nodded against him.
“I’m sure your mom would take me in,” he said next with a wink. He laughed as Buffy put up a mild struggle to break his hold on her before simply giving in. She rarely used her Slayer strength to get away from him.
“You’re sick.” She pouted making it Xander’s turn to melt.
“You’re the slum lord.”
“You’re the pervert who wants to scam on my mother.” She poked him in the chest.
“Naw,” he turned up his lips. “Her daughter already wears me out to much to scam on anybody else.”
Buffy stood in her boyfriends arms in front of dresser at the foot of her bed and she could not think of anyplace else she would rather be than right there. “Does she now?” She pout was playful as she slid her arms up from his waist to his chest.
Xander’s breath quickened and he licked his lips. Buffy was looking up at him through her eyelashes and now his heart was going to jack hammer right out of his chest. “Yeah,” he replied gravelly, his jaw clenching involuntarily while he kept his eyes locked on hers.
She knew that look all too well. If the intensity of his dark hooded eyes weren’t enough to state his intentions, the quiet roughness of his voice was. And if that didn’t do it, the erection she felt poking her in the stomach now was. And if she needed one more piece of evidence, the fact that his hands had taken to grasping and massaging her ass through her longish skirt was. All it added up to was that she had no desire to leave this room right then, let alone to go lead on some college boy to make the man that was holding her jealous. She didn’t want to make more “friends” that day, especially when she could continue to have Xander’s tongue in her mouth, rubbing against hers and stealing her breath away for the rest of the night.
Riley who?
Xander had backed her into the dresser’s edge, unable to withhold anymore. He wanted to have her and he would. She was his. He closed his mouth around her upper lip and flicked his tongue against it, loving the whimper it elicited from her throat. He wanted to hear it again, but he wanted it to be for a different reason. He slipped his mouth further down and pushed it fully against her own and let his hands wander down to the hem of her skirt, reaching beneath it and pulling it up as he let his fingers tickle over the skin at the back of her thighs. He felt Buffy shudder against him as he kissed her the way he knew that she loved. Buffy was all for playful nips and light teasing flicks, but her favorite was for Xander to just dominate her. To kiss her like he wanted to swallow her whole…and to use a lot on tongue while he did it.
Buffy groaned into his kiss and stood up straighter to get closer to his lips and closer to his body. She felt his hands lifting up the back of her skirt and she arched her upper body into his, her breasts pushing into the skin right below his pecs and she stepped forward with one leg to sandwich one of his between hers as she tried to back them towards the bed.
Xander pulled back from the wet kiss, his eyes wild and his strong hands kneeding the flesh of her ass now through her panties. He could felt the hardened tips of her nipples through her shirt and he hadn’t even touched them yet… “I ruined your makeup,” he breathed out, “And your hair…”
Buffy offered a labored grin as she was pretty much distracted by the feel of his hard dick pressed into her hip now. “S’alright…I got more…”
Xander dipped his head again and pressed a hard quick kiss on her lips, catching her by surprise and then pulling back just as quickly while his hands slipped past eh elastic of the leg holes of her underwear so that they rested against her bare flesh. Buffy gasped when she felt his fingers push lower – soon probing against the wet skin of her core and she heard his hummed grin. “Sure your mom won’t mind waiting for you to finish this?”
She wasn’t even paying attention to his words as he had just slipped the tips of two fingers inside of her and then kept pushing them in until the palm of his hand was pushed against her ass. “Uhhhmmhh…”
GODAMMIT!!! Riley…
“Xan…”
She was muffled by his lips again, and once again she didn’t protest. She forgot what she would protest against anyway.
Xander backed them back up towards her dresser, his eyes ope and and locking on the reflection in the mirror that rested on top. He watched himself play with Buffy’s ass and the space between her legs as his wrist disappeared beneath the fallen fabric of her skirt. He watched him self kiss her hard and force her to take it. He felt the warmth and wetness of her core on his hands as her body trembled. Then he pulled away. He pulled back from the kiss and let his hands slide from inside of her.
Buffy’s grunt of protest turned into one of surprise when the hands that she had just been working herself off on quickly grabbed her hips and turned her around. She found her self looking in the mirror into Xander’s eyes and he grinned at her when her tongue darted out to lick her kiss swollen lips and his hands moved back to her pussy now pushing into her from the front. Buffy felt her eyes start to close as she step to the side a little to spread her legs more, but she fought it – she kept them open and refocused on the sight of the fabric of her skirt moving with his strokes into her body. Her breath quickened and she leaned forward and braced herself on straightened arms, as she pushed her lower body back against him, moving with his hand.
Xander smirked to himself just enjoying the soft sounds that she was making and feeling the light contractions of her muscles against his digits, then he slid the hand that was braced on her hip to her wrist and grabbed it. He dipped his head low so that his voice warned her ear, “What time do you have to go?” he whispered as she let her arm be pulled back between them. Xander settled her willing palm over his cock through his jeans and Buffy instinctively began rubbing him in time with his thrusts. “Ahhh Baby….” His eyes shut and his head fell forward. “I don’t wanna…wanna make you late…”
“Yeah…” Buffy sighed now biting her lower lip. She fingers were trembling as she reached blindly for his fly and pulled the zipper down before slipping her hand inside, her hand closing around his hard bare flesh for the first time as she freed him from the confines of his jeans. “I won’t be,” Buffy assured him and felt her inner muscles clench in anticipation. “Almost there…”
Xander moaned as hands skimmed to her sides, lifting her skirt as he moved and Buffy continued to stoke him. “Open your eyes,” he breathed into her ear and pulled the thin strip of fabric of her panties that rested between her ass to the side. His hand pulled hers away from him next as he grasped his own member and focused on the mirror, waiting for her to comply.
Buffy shook and her chin trembled as she readied herself – tried to calm herself from the wave of arousal that the situation called up. She licked her lips reminding herself that this and this alone, was why she loved fighting with Xander in the first place; their make up sex was always phenomenal. She set herself and forced her eyes open, a gasp shooting past her lips as soon as she did so because Xander pushed his hard length inside her immediately, completely surrounding himself with her body in one stoke with an appreciative groan.
“Keep them open,” he whispered again as he began thrusting into her from behind, his dark eyes locked on hers in the mirror while his hands maintained a bruising hold on her hips underneath her skirt. Xander dropped his head again and bit the skin on the side of her neck before licking it roughly. He moved his mouth all over he exposed throat as he picked up the speed of his hips.
“Mmmm...” she whimpered under his assault, her breath coming fast, her eyes fighting to stay open and focused on the mirror. Her hands held the edge of the dresser in a bruising hold and she was hopeful that she wouldn’t splinter the wood – thankful that Xander was holding her tightly to keep her from collapsing forward completely.
And Xander exalted in every noise that escaped her. Held her tighter while he fucked her. She could go to as many sleazy frat partied as she wanted, he would be there by her side. At the end of the night they would leave. And later on there would be this. Always.
Xander growled when he felt the slippery grip of her vaginal walls close on him spasmodically - an imitation of the actual orgasm that they were prelude to. His eyes found hers through heavy lids and he leant forward more, pushing further inside when she was forced to follow his movement. One of his hands moved from under her skirt and to her back where he gripped the back of her neck and held her bent down while his hips moved harder. Faster.
Every breath she took came out with a whimper. A high pitched keen that was second in amplitude only to the wet slap of the hips slapping against her ass. Wet from the juices that had coated his cock with each stroke and saturated his skin…skin that met hers over and over – spreading it…sharing them. And they watched each other. They never broke eye contact.
Xander licked his lips and kissed the side of her neck again. “Talk to me…” he demanded in a harsh breath.
Buffy clenched her eyes shut momentarily and felt him slam hard into her in retaliation, lifting her off the ground in one stroke, forcing her eyes open and a cry from her throat. “Open,” he demanded again.
“Yessss,” her voice was a hiss. He kept the hard pace and kept hitting the spot that he had before – the one that made her stomach feel all empty and tight and caused a sharp tingle of pleasure to shoot through her whole body, igniting it.
And he moved still harder, alternating short hard fast strokes with long, equally hard ones. He would use slow deliberate ones later, right now he wanted to pound her – he bent her over further, he wanted to dominate her.
“Talk,” he panted out.
“Say what?” it was a high pitched squeak.
He slammed into her so hard that one of her hands released her grip on the desk and braced their joined bodies on the mirror, and both sets of eyes watched as the heat of her palm caused a circle of fog to form on the cool surface of the glass.
“Anything…fuck, Buff…ohgod…”
She clenched at the sound of his voice, squeezing him harder inside of her. “Is it…is it tight?”
God, Xander loved the sound of her voice while they were fucking. He always would. He loved it when she said things like that too – things she wouldn’t say in public, that she would only say to him, and that he liked to believe that she had no prior knowledge of before he knew her in this way.
“Is…is what tight?” he was fighting for breath just as she was. The combination of their voices pushing them maddeningly closer to the edge.
“My pussy,” she whined out and gulped in a breath, “Is it tight…”
This time Xander closed his eyes and Buffy clenched around him on purpose, using the same method that he had on her to get him to focus. “Open…” she reminded him with a smile.
Xander bit his lip and moved faster. He was way beyond controlling a smile, his mind was focused on a variety of other things, and facial expression was last on the list. His hand skated around to the front of her body and squeezed her right breast through her blouse, pinching her nipple while his hips moved. He watched as her smile fell too, turning into a frown that mirrored a mixture of concentration, pain, and immense flooding pleasure. “Yeahhh…so tight…”
Buffy licked her lips and forced her hips and ass back in time with his forward thrusts – wanting him deeper inside her. She moaned as the action caused the head of his cock to push against her g-spot, smoothing over it’s area on it’s way in and out of her body.
“Hotttt…”
“Mmmmhmmm…” She was so close that she was trying to concentrate on her breathing to stave off the end. “I know…” she sighed.
“Do you…” he paused to lick his lips, “Do you like it like this?”
“Yessss…”
“FROM!!!!” she squeezed him again, “BEHIND?!!!”
“YES XANDER!!!!!!”
He loved it when he made her scream. Made her not care who heard. “HARDER!!!! Please!”
Xander complied, jerking her body back to meet his, ignoring the uncomfortable amount of sweat that had been gathering under his pants.
“Can you…can you feel it?” she whispered – whimpered; her voice holding a tone of pleading.
And he did. He felt every clench, every spasm. He knew that it was only the beginning, this wasn’t even her orgasm but it was sucking on his cock. “Yea, baby…I feel it….”
“Harder…right there” she panted out, “Do you wanna…wanna come in me?”
“Mmmhmm.”
“Do it,” she ordered, paying him back for his continued possessiveness. “GOD!!! Fuck Xander, I’m gonna…gonna cum…”
“Good,” Xander composed himself enough to bark out. “Good. I wanna make you come.”
He loved the dirty talk, and now that his hips were on autopilot he could focus on it more. He had done his part in getting his body to orgasm, it had taken over for itself now.
“With me, Xannnn…” It had started and the tingling exploded in her body – literally felt like it was ripping her in half. And she watched herself as it happened in the mirror…watched Xander watch her and her mouth fell open in a wordless cry. Xander’s free hand moved to her face and pulled her up straight while still moving in her. He cupped her chin and turned her face, his lips brushing hers in half formed kisses before covering her mouth completely, working his tongue against hers as she fought valiantly to compete with him. He pulled back a fraction of an inch, missing nips against her lips. “…come in you Buff…”
“Yesss…” her subtle contractions were still fluttering around his shaft. “Xan…love you…love…”
And all he could do was kiss her. The simple words would never be able to convey how much he felt for her – no single sentence or expression could, so all Xander could do was kiss her, and then turn his gaze to the mirror as his world exploded, as he exploded in pulsing bursts inside of her. His mouth turned into a tight frown before falling open as he cried her name, as she was the only person who had ever caused him to feel the way he did now.
And the door opened…
“Buffy, your friend…” Joyce walked into the bedroom in mid-sentence. And then stopped dead in her tracks.
“MOM!!!”
Xander could only gasp in shocked embarrassment when Buffy shrieked. He couldn’t let her go, and he really needed to let her go…
Joyce stood in shock, her eyes wide open for a second too long before she slammed them shut, what was going on in the room all too obvious and she tried to shake the image of Xander standing behind her daughter out of her head. “Oh God…I’m sorr…”
“GET OUT!!!!!” Buffy shouted again. “GET OUT!!!!”
Joyce backed out quickly, stumbling over her feet in her haste. “Sorry. So sorry…” she just kept repeating over and over again. “I’m sorry…” She slammed the door shut behind her hard leaving the two shocked younger people alone in the bedroom.
“Oh my God,” Buffy breathed out. Embarrassment coursing through her body along with the buzz of the afterglow.
Xander was physically shaking as he pulled out of her quickly and turned away from the door. “I can’t believe this,” his voice quivered as he tucked his now sticky still semi hard cock back into his pants and zipped up while Buffy straightened her self up.
“Buffy,” Joyce called, this time through the closed door, but both she and Xander jumped at her voice. “You friend is here to pick you up…Riley, I think.”
Buffy stopped fixing her hair and Xander turned around to face her. “Riley’s here?” he asked, his voice now eerily whimsical. “Riley from the shop, Riley?”
“Xander,” Buffy tried in a light tone.
“To pick you up?”
“We…we’re gonna go for coffee…”
“On a date?” Xander’s eyes were wide and his mouth was cocked in a slight grin. “Riley is taking my girlfriend on a date?”
Buffy shut his eyes and cursed her own goddamned luck. She had completely forgotten about the other man when Xander had come over – she had stopped caring about anybody else but him. “He came by the shop after I left your place…”
“And you were pissed because of what I said so you decided to see other people?!”
“No Xander,” Buffy denied and stepped closer to him. “I just…he’s my friend.”
“Yeah, well, your fucking friend wants to get in your pants,” he stepped away from her.
Buffy kept up with him and grasped his hip, keeping him from fleeing. “Where you are?” he used her doe eyes to look up at him and heard a semi-defeated sigh. “You know you’re the last man who’ll ever be there Baby.”
Xander’s jaw clenched as he fought the urge to pull her to him.
“Did you hear me Buffy?!” Joyce yelled again.
“YES!!!” Buffy called back, but didn’t take her eyes off of Xander’s. “You can come with, you know,” she told him next.
Xander let out a laughing breath, “I don’t want to go on your date with you.”
“I go out with you and Wills all the time,” Buffy ducked her head and grinned up at him.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Wills isn’t looking to date you and if she is…”
“She’s playing it pretty close to the chest. I know, but you have to admit that it doesn’t hold as much clout now that she’s a lesbian.” Buffy joked to him, now relaxing because he finally broke down and put his arms around her waist in a loose hold.
Xander quirked a grin at her and rasied his eyebrow. “She wants to date you?” he asked hopefully.
Buffy playfully slapped him in the chest and pushed him away.
“Cuz if she did, I could live with that…and we wouldn’t want to leave Tara out in the cold…”
Buffy side stepped him and headed towards the bathroom, “I’m gonna wash my hands Loverboy.” She commented over her shoulder.
Xander furrowed his brow and turned to face her as she walked away before heading towards her chest of drawers. He pulled one of his open and yanked out two pairs of jeans – his favorite ones that he kept at her house – and tossed them on the bed before moving to the closet to get some shirts. “What’s washing your hands going to do? I didn’t shoot in your hands,” he joked, “Now if you want to take a shower, we could do that…”
“Perv.” Buffy joked with a wide grin as she came back into the room. “You should wash yours.”
Xander licked his lips and nodded at her before raising his hand to his mouth and sucking on the two digits he had used to finger her earlier. “All clean,” he said taking broad strokes of hand with his tongue. “Yummy.”
Buffy shook her head at him while reapplying her lipstick. “You can still come,” she said as he put his clothes in a duffle bag.
“I’ll wait for later,” he grinned back, approaching her and reaching out to slap her on the ass as she still wasn’t facing him.
Buffy jumped and whirled to face him, “Asshole.”
Xander just shrugged good naturedly, “I couldn’t resist. You want me to put some of your stuf her here?” he gestured towards his bag.
Buffy glanced at it, and then at him. She didn’t know that he wasn’t going to spend the night there with her. “No,” she said quietly before readjusting her hair. “That’s okay…”
He picked up his bag and put it on his shoulder. “You’re gonna come by the house tonight, right?” he asked confused as he opened the door for them.
Buffy shook her head and shrugged, “I don’t know…I…”
“Well if you do, I’ll be there.” Xander told her and turned towards the stairs. “I better go say hi to Riley.” He bit out and started down to the living room.
“Xander!” Buffy exasperated and followed his defeated path. “Xander…”
“Buffy,” Riley breathed turning away from his snide underhanded conversation with the man that had preceded her down the stairs. “I thought you’d forgotten,” he smiled warmly at her as he stepped around Xander.
“She was busy,” Xander said, his eyes locked with Buffy’s.
“Hi Riley,” Buffy grinned back, fidgeting under the awkwardness of the situation. “I’m really sorry. I…”
“Well,” he sighed loudly to interrupt her, “I’m gonna head.” He stepped forward and pressed a hard kiss on Buffy’s mouth, forcing his tongue inside in a way that ensured that Riley could see the type of kiss he gave her. “I’ll see you later Sweetheart,” he whispered against her lips when he pulled back a fraction of an inch. All Buffy could do was nod and Xander held her hand as he stepped back. “Remember my door’ll be open…Less maternal interruptions,” he smiled through his reminder while he fought the urge to punch the blond haired man next to him in the kidney and then kick him in the teeth.
“Kay,”
“Hey,” Xander released Buffy’s hand and addressed Riley. “Have fun on your date with my fiancé.”
“Listen man,” Riley started in defense, “It’s completely…”
“Night all,” Xander waved his hand dismissively. “Night Dawnster…Mrs.S.” he added shakily.
Joyce appeared from around the corner of the kitchen, but was unable to meet his eyes, “Goodnight Xander.” She spoke quickly before disappearing again.
“Talk to you later Buff,” Xander said and headed outside, closing the door behind him and leaving Riley alone with her. As he headed towards his car he congratulated himself, he had won that round. Buffy couldn’t possibly pull that ‘You don’t trust me’ bullshit with him now, he had just practically pushed her into another mans arms…
He was had to be the smartest man ever.
Or he was a flaming idiot.
Xander let his head fall hard against his stirring wheel with a groan as soon as he reached the end of Revello Drive. He had just remembered something that he had seen in Buffy’s room.
The diamond ring that she placed her necklace beside.
The engagement ring she wasn’t wearing when she had gone downstairs to meet Riley.
Maybe coffee later wouldn’t be such a bad idea…
