Chapter 19 for TFL

We walked into the Bronze a few minutes later to see Willow and Xander sitting at a table not to far from the dance floor. We walked over and before they realised we were there I leaned down to whisper into Xander’s ear. Danielle: For someone who’s lived on the Hellmouth his whole life you would think you would be able to sense a vampire by now Xand. He turned around in surprise to see Angelus, Spike, Ashley, Yelsin, Drusilla and myself standing behind him with smiles on our faces as he tried to calm himself down. Xander: That was not funny Danielle. I just shrugged and laid my head on Angelus’s chest as he wrapped his left arm around my waist. Ashley: Was meant to be funny Xander you should have known we were behind you…Willow knew didn’t you? Ashley gave her what could only be described as a pouted- puppy dog look. Willow: If I didn’t then what kind of a witch would I be. Xander: You could have told me Will. She gave him a smile before kissing him. Willow: Where would the fun be in that? Want to sit down? We all took a seat at their table…I looked up to see Willow eyeing Ashley and I as Angelus and Spike pulled us onto their laps. Willow: They haven’t stopped hun? I gave her a nod as Angelus ran his fingers through my hair. Spike: Wouldn’t dream of it Red.
Xander: So what are you guys doing here? Drusilla: We came to see princess but the mean Slayer was hurting mummy’s cousin and wants to hurt us as well. I pulled Dru close and stroked her hair to calm her down before kissing her forehead. Danielle: Like she could ever take me away from you baby girl. As she pulled away she gave me a great big smile as Yelsin pulled her closer to his body. Yelsin: Everything is going to be alright pet.
Xander: Nicole attacked Buffy! He moved to stand but Willow pulled him back into his seat. Willow sent him a look that said stay-put as she turned to look at us. Willow: Why would she do that? I thought we were friends. Angelus: Apparently not very good friends seeing that we broke up the fight about twenty minutes ago. Xander who was mumbling about how we should have kept a better eye on the young Slayer shut up long enough to see a smile on my face as I slowly stroked Angelus’s thigh. Xander: What are you planning Danielle? I looked up at him as my smile changed to a smirk that simple meant something was going to happen. Danielle: All good things, Xander. All good things. He glanced at Willow to see her face shift from worry to her famous resolve face. Xander: I don’t want to know anything. Yelsin gave him a big smile as he chuckled to himself. Yelsin: You’re catching on mate best not to know what she’s thinking about.
We sat there for a few minutes before getting up to dance as we scanned the crowd for something to eat before heading over to the mansion where Max would be waiting for us. As I danced with Angelus to a fast paced song it felt like someone was watching me and it was someone I knew. So I turned around in his arms so my back was facing his chest as I looked over the crowd to see who was daring enough to look at me, Angelus’s mate. That is when I noticed him sitting with Nicole about three feet away. I looked over the older Riley Finn to see that other then some small changes he was still the man that my human self feared with every fiber of her being until Angelus saved me. Angelus looked down at me as I watched him openly stare at me as I growled under my breath at him. Angelus lowered his head to my shoulder trying to see what I saw. Angelus: What’s wrong mo siog? I blinked a few times as I came out of my anger at the stupid human to see my mate looking at me slightly confused. Danielle: She’s fucking farm boy as that pansy ass Watcher screws someone else no doubt. He followed my eyes to find Nicole talking to Riley as he swept his gaze over my body as if he was painting a picture. I placed my hand along side his cheek as his smirk grew to match mine…Angelus: This is going to be fun. He lowered his head and dropped a kiss onto my shoulder before disappearing into the shadows as Nicole walked away from Riley to go on patrol no doubt. Angelus: Don’t kill him yet siog. Danielle: I won’t. I just want to see him squirm.

*Riley P.O.V*

I turned to look the crowd over as I listened to Nicole talk about Buffy when I spotted something very familiar but I couldn’t place where I saw her before. I couldn’t stop watching her dance with a taller man that was built with dark brown hair and equal dark brown eyes…there was something about this woman that made my knees go weak just as I watched her. Maybe it was the way she was dressed in black high heal boots that stopped about an inched past her knees or the way her black leather skirt clung to the lower part of her body creating a gap between where the skirt stopped and her boots started combined with the dark silk blue shirt that both molded and flowed away from her curves...or it could have been the large hole in the back of the shirt that showed off her bare back to me until she turned around. That was when I took my first look at her face.
Her face is what held my attention the longest. It was simple beautiful…she looked like a real goddess…the way her golden blonde hair flowed down her back as some swept across her right eye hiding it until she herself moved the hair away showing off her amazing green eyes with just the hint of gold woven into them. I watched as she blinked a few times as she looked at me showing off her natural and dark make up forcing dangerous thoughts into my mind as her pale pink mouth stayed open not saying a word as Nicole said she was going out to patrol before she turned in. I nodded as I watched her dance partner turn and walked away leaving this amazing angel all alone to dance by herself. I moved to walk over to her when someone walked in front of me…when they walked away my angel was gone.
I sunk into my chair defeated by the knowledge that I may never see her again and knowing that if I had only been faster I could have gotten her name before she disappeared because there would be no chance to come to the Bronze tomorrow night seeing that I promised Nicole that I would go out on patrol with her. I turned around so I could finish my beer before heading back to my apartment when I saw her standing beside my table smiling at me. Danielle: Hi I’m Danielle. I noticed you were watching me dance was there something I could do for you?

*My P.O.V*

I smiled at him as he sat there dumbfounded in the possibility that I would showed any interest in him or that I could move so fast that one minutes I was in one place and in another in the next…mainly I think it was the first cause he wouldn’t stop staring at my chest. I rolled my eyes at him as I crossed my arms over my chest as I waited for him to say something coherent. Riley: Um…h…hi. I’m Riley Finn. I flipped my hair over my right shoulder as I gave him an innocent yet charming smile that I learned from Angelus when we went out hunting together. Danielle: Nice to meet you Riley but you still haven’t answered my question. What can I do for you seeing that you’ve been staring at me for almost an hour? Riley: Sorry…I thought you were someone I knew…um…would you like to join me. I sat down and took a quick glance around the room. Danielle: Wouldn’t your girlfriend get mad that you’re spending time with another girl? Riley: I’m not planning on telling her unless she asks beside what harm is in just talking. I gave him a smile as my inner voice responded to him “you have no idea what you’ve gotten yourself into pretty boy”. I sat there and laughed at his lame jokes as the others were out having the real fun.

*Angelus and the others*

While I was “Talking” to Riley my family where following the young Slayer as she patrolled. Spike: Why are we following the Slayer? I rather listen to Chubs and Red then be here. Angelus paid his impatient child no mind as they watched the young woman fight off a feedling. What struck the group as odd was that Dru who was normally very talkative during hunts was unusually silent. Yelsin: Drusilla…he turned her to face him as he looked into her eyes to see nothing looking back at him. Angelus: What is wrong with her boy? Yelsin: She must be having a vision…I really don’t know Angelus. Ashley walked up to her and gently touched her hand. Ashley: Drusilla…honey…what is wrong? Dru stood there for a few minutes before looking at Angelus. Dru: They want to take you away…make you good for her! Angelus just stared at his child unaware at that moment Wesley stood behind a mausoleum chanting in Romanian as they watched his charge fight.

*My P.O.V*

I convinced Riley to go outside with me by kissing him as I walked out of the bathroom. Riley: I have to go. I pulled away from his neck to pout at him. Danielle: Why do you have…I stood up on my toes and went back to kissing his neck as he held me against his body begging for me to move forward. Riley: I have to meet Nicole…don’t stop. I smiled against his skin as I licked his pulse point before moving back to his mouth letting him control the kiss as I rolled my eyes hoping I gave Angelus and the others enough time to watch the Slayer cause I was getting sick of keeping Riley detained. Danielle: Why do you have to meet her? Wouldn’t you want to stay with me and have a little fun? I batted my eyelashes before placing some pressure on his dick through his pants as it jumped into my hand. Riley: I woul…but she wants…oh God…He pulled me away from his body as he took a few deep breaths before looking me in the eyes. Riley: She told Wesley that she saw Angelus…they’re going to re-soul him to teach his mate a lesson. I stood still as I looked at him. Danielle: What?
Riley: Nicole and Wesley broke up about a year after she was turned because Wesley couldn’t let her go but he stayed with Nicole because she needed a Watcher. She wants her to go through the same pain that she went through knowing that Angelus would never love her with a soul…he threaded his fingers through my hair and pulled me toward his mouth catching me by surprise. When I pulled away from him with a growl he was smiling at me. Riley: How does it feel to be played baby. With a louder growl I changed my face and bit into his neck. Riley: Ahhh!!!! I pulled away from him as soon as he stopped struggling against me to let him drop against the wall. I watched as his hand went up to his neck checking the wound. Danielle: I’m not going to kill you yet…I bent down so he was looking me in the eyes. Danielle: If Angelus retrieves his soul I will turn you, torture you and then let you lose on the woman you love…while I watch you kill the little Slayer before I stake you myself. I turned and walked away leaving him there to think over what I just told him. Danielle: You better pray he doesn’t have his soul or you’ll lose yours. With that I was gone before he could say something to me.
I found their scent and took of running hoping that I wasn’t too late. When I rounded around the corner of the cemetery I found Angelus on his knees shaking as the others watched. I ran over to him and kneeled in front of him. Danielle: Mo chroi …Angelus. I touched his face bring his chin up so I could look into his eyes…what I saw there scared me more then the idea of living eternity without him…his soul was looking back at me and he was ashamed by what he did for me. Angel: I can…don’t look at me. I watched as he stood up and stumble away from me as I stood on shaky legs unaware that tears were traveling down my face. Danielle: Angelus please…don’t do this to me…I need…He looked up to see the tears glisten in the moonlight as Nicole stood a few feet away smiling at what she done. Angel: I…with that he turned and ran away not even stopping to look back. Danielle: Angelus! I watched him go and covered my face with my hands as Spike and Yelsin walked up to me placing their hands on my trembling shoulders unsure what they should do. Nicole: Now you know how it feels. I turned around and before she could move I grabbed her around her neck bring her close to me as I shifted to my true face baring my fangs at her as she struggled in my iron grip.
Danielle: Is this a game to you? I have never wanted to kill something so much like I want to do with you right now but you are the only reason I haven’t snapped your neck seeing that you know where your pansy assed Watcher is right now. Take me to him or I kill your precious Riley as you watch tied to a chair after I’ve taken him anyway I want to do you understand me or do I have to prove it. She nodded a few times before I dropped her to the ground letting her land on her ass staining her jeans with a round of mud. Ashley: You’ve messed with the wrong family girl. She stood with a glare before walking over to the mausoleum where Wesley was cleaning up the evidence of the spell. I grabbed him by the neck and shoved him up against the mausoleum forcing his head into the stone as he looked at me surprised.
Wesley: Danielle? I walked closer to him and growled as he took in my face. Danielle: I don’t have time to play, why did you do it to him? Wesley: He needed to suffer for what he did to you. I growled again before I turned and looked at Ashley and Spike. Danielle: Find him and take him back to the mansion while I deal with the Watcher and Slayer. Spike: Mum are you sur…I raised an eyebrow at him as Ashley grabbed the sleeve of his duster. Ashley: Come on Spike. With that they turned and walked into the darkness leaving me with Dru and Yelsin as they held onto the struggling Slayer. Danielle: Dru come here please. She handed the Slayer off to Yelsin as she walked up beside me. Drusilla: Yes mummy. I looked at her as she stood next to me wearing a simple red halter dress under a black leather jacket with black boots. Danielle: Make him talk. I looked at Wesley as Dru smiled at him. Drusilla: Of course mummy.
I dropped him to the ground as he in took in several gulps of air as Dru bent down to look him in the eyes. Drusilla: Look at me, Dearie. I watched as Wesley tried to fight not to look at Drusilla before finally giving into her. Drusilla: Be... in my eyes. Be... in me. He just sat there at Yelsin touched my hand. Yelsin: She’s ready. I took a deep unneeded breath as kneeled beside Dru before taking her hand in mine.
Wesley blinked a few times before focusing on me sitting in front of him wearing a simple red blouse with a brown plaid skirt. Wesley: Danielle? He reached out and gently touched my face to feel the warmth radiating from me as I gave him a gentle smile. Wesley: But I saw you… I performed…I touched his hand that was stroking my cheek. Danielle: I’m fine Wesley but I don’t have much time…I need to meet Buffy for patrol in a few. He smile increased as I closed my eyes thinking his touch was Angelus’s. Wesley: I have missed you. I gave him another smile as I opened my eyes before giving him a confused look. Wesley: What is wrong?
Danielle: Why did you return Angelus’s soul? He did what I asked him to do? He slowly removed his hand from my face as his eyes darkened. Wesley: He killed you. He needed to be punished for what he did to you…so I had Nicole and Riley distract you two as I completed the spell. Buffy and Giles may approve of what he did to you but I do not! I watched him until I finally saw what he was hiding from all of us…he loved my mortal self as he used the Slayer as a toy when he couldn’t have me.
I pulled my hand away from Dru’s with a growl as Yelsin watched. He watched as I got to my feet and started to pace as Dru retrieved what information she could before Wesley passed out. Yelsin: What did you find out? I stopped, turned and looked at him as I fumed to myself. Danielle: He did it because he loved my human self…The Oracles will hear from me if I have to kill every person in this pathetic little town starting with the Slayer. I turned and looked at Dru as she bent to pick up Wesley as he regained consciousness. Wesley: What…Nicole? I followed his gaze to see that the Slayer had shallow cuts along her arms. I looked at Yelsin and he just shrugged. Yelsin: I got bored. Danielle: Bring them both! We’re going to need them. Yelsin picked up the Slayer as Dru stood up with Wesley in her arms before they followed me out of the cemetery toward the mansion as I planned for the possible return of my mate.
Spike and Ashley were walking through town when they caught onto Angelus’s scent. Ashley: This way. She grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the factory. They walked up to the door to find it open slightly. Spike pushed the door open all the way to find the man he thought of as a Sire in the middle of the room crying uncontrollable surrounded by the charred remains of the place where Spike called home when he arrived in Sunnydale. Spike: Pet maybe we should go…He waited as his mate pushed past him to walk toward Angelus.
Ashley: Angelus? She reached out to touch his shoulder when he looked up at her before pushing himself away putting distance between them. Spike: Pet? Ashley took an unneeded breath before walking over to Angelus and bending down so they were eye leveled. Ashley: Angel? He looked up at her with a tear stained face. Angel: Do I know…Ashley? She nodded before giving him a small smile. Angel: W…where am…Danielle? I…don’t…oh god…I killed and turned…mo siog…Ashley just nodded as he remembered what has happened in the last two years. Ashley: What was the last thing you remember Angel? Angel looked at his hands before answering her. Angel: It was Buffy’s birthday…we were talking about things and we slept together…Ashley nodded again before turning to look at Spike. Ashley: Spike it might be a good idea to call Max and tell him to stock pill pigs blood he might be like this for a while and I don’t see him going out on a hunt with us anytime soon. With a nod he did what he was asked as Ashley turned her attention back to Angel to see him crying again.
Ashley: Angel…? He looked at her as she looked at him. Angel: Spike turned…she nodded as he looked her over. She sat there in a pair of black leather pants, a red halter and a short leather jacket with her black boots as her hair traveled down her back. Angel: How…Ashley: You, Dru and Spike turned us two years ago and you’ve been Angelus for the last six years since Buffy’s junior year. Angel you need to understand that Angelus was the first one to…Angel: He fell in love with her. Ashley reached out and touched his hand. Ashley: No she fell in love with Liam, Angel and Angelus…give it a try Angel you might find that you agree with Angelus on something.
Spike walked back toward Ashley to find Angelus crying into her arms as she held him. She turned and smiled at him as if they were the only ones in the room. Ashley: What did they say? Spike: Max is sending a minion out as we speak also Danielle, Dru and Yelsin returned to the mansion and they were not alone. Ashley: She brought the Slayer and Watcher. He nodded as he crossed his arms over his chest. Spike: Said something about needing to know what they know…think she’ll be torturing them when we get in? Ashley: Not physical…not yet anyway. Spike: We should be getting back sun will be up in a few hours. With a nod Ashley and Angel got up and followed him out of the Factory toward the mansion where the real fun will begin.
Back at the mansion I was pacing in the garden where I had the Slayer and her Watcher tied to chairs still alive and untortured. Danielle: Why did you return his soul? Nikki: Why should I tell you? Your just gonna kill us anyway. I stopped in my pacing to turn and look at her. I walked over to her chair and whispered against her ear. Danielle: I told you once before that there is more then meets the eye with me. Now tell me what I want to know before…I stood up and snapped my fingers. I walked behind Nikki as two minions brought out a badly beaten Riley still bleeding in some places. Danielle: I always make good on my promises. Riley looked up to see me slowly running my hands up and down the woman he claims to love shoulders. Nikki: Fine…I’ll tell you what you want to know just don’t hurt him any more. I smiled to myself as the minions holding Riley dropped him to the ground as I walked over to them. I looked down at him as he tried to pull himself to his feet but dropped to the ground again. Danielle: Good. Now tell me why you destroyed my life! Nikki: Because you and your cousin destroyed not just my life but my sisters too. I bent down and pulled Riley to his knees as I licked the blood from his face. Danielle: How did we do that? Nikki: You took Angelus away from me and I don’t share to well. Angel: I used you Nicole.
I let go of Riley dropping him to the ground, turned and found him standing in the doorway watching us. Danielle: You…two…oh god. I took an unneeded breath and turned my back on him. Angel: Danielle? I could feel him coming toward me but I refused to turn and look at him as tears welled in my eyes. Nikki: Oh come on Angel you know you want me instead of a pathetic girl from your past. She’s just like Buffy. Claims that she loves you and then goes behind you back with another man. Riley told me everything they did together. I turned and glared at her as tears ran down my face. Danielle: Shut up you foolish girl, that fucking piece of meat tried to rape me as my friends we held at gun point by his men less then two years ago and you want to imply that I would even think about sleeping with him. Then you know nothing about me! I looked at Angel and without warning I pushed past him leaving him with them. Angel: Danielle? He watched me go as a smile blossomed on the Slayer’s face. Angel: Siog?
I ran past Spike, Ashley and Dru for the door but Yelsin stopped me before I could run through it. He pulled me into his arms as my sobs ran havoc with my body. Yelsin: Danni what’s wrong? I looked up at him completely lost for words as he moved some hair out of eyes as if we were still kids. Danielle: He… (Hiccup)…slept…w…with…Slayer. I gripped his shirt and jacket a bit tighter as I heard Angel enter the room. Ashley walked away from Spike’s side and over to where Yelsin and I stood. Spike: Pet? She turned and looked at him. Ashley: Spike I love you but she’s family. Angelus stopped beside his children as Ashley stroked my hair trying to calm me down. Angel: Danie…Yelsin: Shut the fuck up Angelus!
They just stood there looking surprised that Yelsin would even think about raising his voice toward Angel. Yelsin: I told you that I would not tolerate anyone hurting my family and what do you do you bed another Slayer. I think you’ve given up the right to play the broken heart card. Ashley: Honey? I looked up to see Ashley giving me a concerned smile. Danielle: Ashley please I can’t stay here any longer…I need to get away. With a smile she snapped her fingers a few seconds later a minion walked up to us as I continued to cry into Yelsin’s arms as the others watched. Ashley: I want all of Danielle’s things to be brought here right away do you understand me. The minion nodded before doing as he was told. She turned me to look at her before wipping away the mascaras that ran down my face. Ashley: Everything is taken care of but what do you want to do with the Slayer and her boys? Danielle: Let them go…I have no use for them. Max walked into the room holding my jacket as a minion followed him. Max: Everything is ready for you in a car outside it will take you to where you want to go my lady. With a small smile I turned around as he helped me with my jacket before leaving the place I’ve come to know as home with Ashley and Yelsin.
