Chapter 18 - Rule Five

Excerpt from the club rules:

"5. If any game-loser does not complete a penalty to which she agreed before the game, she shall leave the club. However, the other members may allow her to redeem herself by performing a penalty involving severe public exposure and embarrassment."

A few months after the "Team Sports" game:

The week had been a hectic slaying-fest for Buffy. She turned up at the Sunnydale Spanking Club meeting, looking forward to it as a way to unwind, as it always was. But as she waited for the last of the arrivals, her mind kept dwelling on the latest gang of vampires.

The girls had been looking for new games to play, and Tara had put forward her first game suggestion: Snakes & Ladders. "In some places they call it Chutes & Ladders" she said. "We'll add a rule that when you have to slide down a snake, you not only lose ground but you get your bare bottom smacked. As for the ladders, whoever climbed up a ladder last is Mistress and gets to give the spankings."

"What about the eventual winner?" asked Fred. "You know, the one who gets to the end of the course first? She should get to dish out something more serious than a hand-spanking."

"Yes. How about if the rest of us have to line up, panties down, and the winner gives all the losers ten whacks with the paddle each?"

Buffy nodded, and all the others signified their agreement as well. They took seats around the dining table and the game was on.

Fred was first to run up a ladder, and gave the first spanking to Cordelia when she landed on a snake. Cordelia didn't lose very often, and Fred felt no qualms about spanking her bare butt quite hard. Buffy smiled at the writhing Cordelia struggling not to squeal and yelp, and not always succeeding. But she wasn't enjoying watching this spanking as much as she usually did. The problems of the week wouldn't leave the back of her mind.

Then, on one of her die throws, Buffy landed on a ladder and was proclaimed the new Mistress. Faith was the next to slide down a snake - she dutifully stretched herself over Buffy's knees.

It was normally a pleasure to spank Faith, and see how much you could make this strong-willed woman flinch and gasp and wriggle. It was fun to make her dark rival take her pants down on command, and make her say 'thank you' for her spanking at the end. But this time, Buffy performed her task mechanically for a while, saying nothing, and then let her victim go.

"Come on, Buffy, what's the matter?" asked Cordelia. "That was the poorest excuse for a spanking we've had since the club began!". Buffy apologized and told them how distracted she had been.

The eventual winner of the game was Willow. She picked up the wooden paddle and swung it in the air like a baseball bat. "OK Ladies", she ordered, "I want to see five bare tushies in a row."

Soon there were five women bending over side by side, with bunched panties at various heights like a column graph. There had been some light-hearted jostling for position. Most girls wanted to delay their penalty as much as possible, hoping Willow would get tired. Fred wanted to go first and get her paddling over with as soon as possible. Being apathetic, Buffy ended up second in line.

Willow began working on the first and smallest bottom. Fred screamed a lot as her ten whacks with the paddle reported like pistol shots, then she ducked away gripping her sore behind and whimpering "Owie, owie, owie!"

It was Buffy's turn, and the hard wooden paddle smacked her bare bottom solidly. It seemed to hurt far more than usual. It took some mental steel to deal with such a hard, high-impact instrument of punishment - a resistance usually helped by the adrenalin and sexy feelings of the games.

But Buffy had been too 'out of it'. The second whack felt awful, and tears formed in her eyes. On the third agonizing stroke, she felt a sense of panic and stood upright. "I'm sorry, I can't do this today" she said in a broken voice.

A couple of the girls protested. "If you're not well, or not in the mood, you needed to request that we play for milder penalties, or sit the game out. You can't change your mind AFTER the result. It's not fair, and against the club rules."

A tear ran down Buffy's cheek. "I really apologize, I didn't know this would happen. Doesn't the rule about this say I can stay in the club if I take a penalty involving extra humiliation?"

"It's in rule 5" said Willow, and quoted: "The other members may allow her to redeem herself by performing a penalty involving severe public exposure and embarrassment."

"I'll do it, whatever it is" said Buffy miserably. "If you don't mind, I'll go home now. Then you can discuss what it should be."

In the discussion that followed (after the rest of the paddlings!) nobody spoke nastily about Buffy. They all considered her a friend. But rules were rules, and the club would descend into a half-hearted chaos if people backed out of penalties. It had to be discouraged. They hatched a plot that would involve only mild physical pain for Buffy, but would be the most mortifying experience of her life.
