Chapter 18 for TFL

About twelve hours later I blinked and looked around the room. Danielle: Angelus? He looked up from his book and noticed that I was moving. Angelus: Danielle? I sat up and looked at him. Danielle: I’m hungry. He stood and walked over to the bed. Angelus: I know. He kissed my forehead and smiled at me. Angelus: I’ll have Max bring you someone to eat. He walked over to the phone and dialed a number. Angelus: Max, can you please have one of the minions bring someone to my room so Danielle can have something to eat. Max: Of course. Angelus hung up the phone and walked back toward the bed. Angelus: How do you feel siog?
I smiled at him as I sat up letting my skirt pool around me. Danielle: I feel stronger than a Slayer. He nodded as I laid my head against his chest. Angelus: What else? He ran his fingers through my hair as we sat there. Danielle: I can hear everything…and I can tell that Buffy and the others are still here. I pulled away from him and looked at him confused. Danielle: Why did they stay? Angelus played with my hair careful to avoid my tiara. Angelus: They want to be changed. I was waiting for you to wake up so you can change them if they still want it. I smiled before kissing him as Max walked into the room with a teenage boy. Max: I hope this is what you wanted ma’am.
I gathered my skirts before climbing off the bed. Once on the ground I let them drop to the ground as I walked over to the boy. Danielle: He’s beautiful. Angelus walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist as he kissed my bare shoulder. Angelus: I thought you would like him. I touched the boy’s face and smiled at him as I changed into my true face. I pulled the boy toward me and sunk my fangs into his neck. When I was done I pulled back and let the body drop to the floor. I looked at Angelus and smiled at him. Danielle: Thank you Liam. He nodded and kissed me.
I changed out of my dress and into a black leather skirt, a blue halter top and black sandals before walking into the living room to find Buffy, Giles, Xander and Willow waiting. Danielle: Hi everybody. They looked up to find Spike, Ashley, Drusilla, Yelsin, Angelus and myself standing in the room. Buffy: Have you guys eaten? I looked at Ashley and Yelsin and they nodded that they have already eaten. Danielle: Yep we have and know I’m going to get to asking why you want to be a vampire?
Buffy looked at me and smiled. Buffy: I’m no longer the strongest Slayer and I don’t want to bring any children into this world knowing what I know. I walked over to her and touched her stomach. Danielle: We would have to wait until the child is born to before we can change you. She gave me a weird look and touched her stomach. Ashley: Great job Giles. I smiled at Buffy and Giles as they looked at each other in shock as I shifted back into my human face. Buffy: I’m pregnant? I nodded and pulled her into a hug. Danielle: Welcome to the family Buffy. You might want to call Aunt Joyce and tell her the good news.
About nine months later we all stood in the waiting room of the Sunnydale hospital. I stood beside Angelus as Willow and Xander paced the room. Xander: How long does it take to have a baby? I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Ashley: Xander some mother’s take up to twelve hours to give birth. He sighed and sat down beside Yelsin who was calmly reading a book. Danielle: My mother took a full day to have my younger brother in my first life and we didn’t have hospitals back then. Angelus: It was the same with Kathy. I wrapped my arms around him as he spoke of his younger sister.
Yelsin leaned back in his chair letting his black dress pants fall back in place as his red silk shirt hung perfectly on his body under his black suit coat as he lowered his book slightly. Yelsin: So when do we do the ritual? I looked at Yelsin and at the room my cousin was in with her husband. Danielle: When they’re ready we’ll do it but until then I want her to have a normal life with her kid. I stood there wearing a simple red halter dress as Angelus wrapped an arm around my bare shoulders. Angelus: She’ll be alright siog. I nodded and laid my head against his shoulder as Giles walked out of the room smiling from ear to ear.
Giles: Buffy and our daughter is alright. I smiled and kissed Angelus. Danielle: I have a great cousin. Everyone stood and gave Giles a hug. I walked up to him a little nervous. Danielle: Can I see them? He nodded and gave me a kiss to the forehead. Giles: Not to long Buffy has to rest. I smiled at him. Danielle: I promise. I wrapped my arms around his waist giving him a simple hug before walking over to the room. Danielle: Here goes nothing.
I walked into Buffy’s room to find her holding her daughter. Danielle: Hey cousin. She looked up and smiled at me as I closed the door behind me. Buffy: Your still here. I nodded and sat down at the end of her bed. Danielle: I would stay the whole day just to see this little thing. Can I hold her? Buffy nodded and handed her little girl over to me. I looked down at the little face with blonde hair before smiling back at her. Danielle: She looks like you but she must have Giles eyes. Buffy smiled and lay back. Buffy: She has my Slayer strength…I looked at her in question.
Danielle: I thought you lost all your powers. She shook her head and smiled at me. Buffy: It seems the Council was wrong once again. I nodded and smiled to myself. Danielle: What did you name her? Buffy smiled at me. Buffy: Elizabeth Dawn Giles. I smiled at her and placed little Elizabeth in her basinet. Danielle: I like it. I kissed Buffy’s forehead and winked at her. Danielle: Whenever you’re ready we’ll do it but watch out for her first. Buffy smiled and swooshed me away. Buffy: I know and I want you to leave so I can get some sleep. I nodded and left her alone. Danielle: Sleep tight Buffy.
Two years passed by as Angelus, Ashley, Spike, Drusilla, Yelsin and myself moved to LA like I told Buffy I would. I lay in Angelus arms as we watched the moon shine from our balcony. Danielle: I miss them…I turned and looked at Angelus. Danielle: She would be two now. He looked down at me and shook his head. Angelus: You spoil her. I lay my head against his chest and wrapped my arms around his waist. Danielle: Well I spoil you more then I spoil her. He pulled me close and kissed the top of my head. Angelus: We’ll leave for Sunnydale tonight…I think the others wanted to get away from LA for a while. I smiled and watched the moon. Danielle: I love you. He smiled against my head and watched the moon rise with me.
Less then two hours later Spike, Ashley, Yelsin, Dru, Angelus and myself pulled up to Buffy’s home. I looked around and noticed that something was wrong. Danielle: Something has changed. I got out of the car and walked up to the house. The others got out of the car and followed me. I pushed the door open and was face to face with Buffy facing off with Nicole. Danielle: Well this is interesting. They stopped and looked at me. Angelus: I was just about to say the exact same thing. He wrapped his arms around my waist and placed his head on my shoulder as Nicole and Buffy stood there. I pushed the door open further and walked into room shocking Nicole.
Danielle: Well I would say that this didn’t catch me off guard but I would like a front row seat to this fight. I sat down on the couch as Angelus stood to my right holding my hand in his as we waited. Danielle: Continue…please. I smiled at them as they watched Ashley, Yelsin, Spike and Dru stand in the doorway. Buffy: What are you dong here Danielle? I stood before walking around them as I smiled to myself. Danielle: Well first I wanted to see my family but once we walked in I was thinking maybe I could have a little fun with the young Slayer. She looked at me and I punched her in the face. She went down. Ashley: Buffy, did you forget to tell us something. She looked at us and sighed as Nicole stood a few seconds later. Nicole: You are gonna get it Buffy…I don’t care if the council said to leave you alone but the next time we meet one of us is going in the ground along with you precious vampire cousin. I watched as she ran away. Danielle: Well that was new. I turned and looked at Buffy. Danielle: So…?
Buffy: Giles and Lizzie where out taking a walk when Nicole attacked them. I raised an eyebrow at her and walked around the room taking in the destruction. Angelus: So you took the battle to her, come on Buff your better then that. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his waist as the others walked inside closing the door behind them. Danielle: What happened cousin? She smirked at me and moved toward the couch. Buffy: I just put Lizzie to bed and was waiting for Giles to come home when she showed up and started with the fist of cuffs. Spike: Pet, what did the Slayer want? She ran her hands over her face. Buffy: I thought she was coming to talk about Slaying and then there was the whole fighting and you walked in…I have no idea anymore what are you doing here anyway. Dru: We came to see the princess and the others…that when the door opened and in walked Giles. Giles: What’s going on?
Danielle: Your little protector was just here and she was having a fun time attacking your wife. Giles walked over to Buffy and pulled her into his arms. Giles: What happened? Buffy: I guess Nicole figured out that I’m still the Slayer and she didn’t like that to much so she tried to take me out. Good thing I’ve been training for the past few years. I crossed my arms and looked at her. Danielle: Talk Buffy or we’re going to have to fight. I raised an eyebrow and tried not to smile. She shook her head and sighed. Buffy: Remember when I told you that Lizzie had some of my strength…I was still the Slayer when I gave birth to her and I’m still the Slayer with the exception that I don’t go out and protect the world every night.
Danielle: So she’s pissed off because she’s not in charge anymore and she wanted to take out the oldest living Slayer before she had the chance to actually join her family in the next life which would give her a really big problem. Yelsin: What does she want with us? Spike: Could be that she just likes you? Dru: Spike! Don’t you even dare think such things? Spike: Come on pet every time we go out you have to basically wrap yourself around him so the girls don’t swarm us…it’s like a bloody rock concert. Ashley moaned as she held her head in her hands. Ashley: My head is hurting from mental images of Yelsin. Spike pulled her into his arms and stroked her hair to ease the tension. Spike: Sorry love. Buffy nodded in understanding. I stood and looked at Angelus with a smile. Danielle: Well I guess we just have to take care of her then. Buffy: And how do we do that? Ashley: Just leave that to us. With a hug and a kiss we left Giles and Buffy to look after their daughter.
Once the door closed behind us I took Angelus’s hand and gave him a smile. Angelus: Let’s get something to eat before turning in for the night. Danielle: That’s what I love about you…always looking for something to do. Spike: We can go to the Bronze seeing that few people know us anymore. Ashley: What do you say Dru you ready for some major dancing? Dru looked up from Yelsin whispering something in her ear with a smile. Dru: I want something young…maybe the Slayer. Angelus: Then it’s settle we’re going to the Bronze. I held onto his arm a bit tighter as we walked away from 1630 Revello Drive. Danielle: Party time.
