"Come on Buff let me out, you know you want to" Angelus paced the confines of his cage never taking his eyes off Buffy, he expected her to be showing signs of pain and doubt over her precious Angel but she looked at him with hatred. "Whats up lover? you miss being with a real man?" he grinned at her and ran his tongue over his bottom lip as she stood to walk closer to the cage, "Your not Angel, i know that now so dont try the same, quite frankly boring routine of trying to hurt me by pretending to be, its getting really old" she said calmly before returning to her seat and staring back at him.

Apart from incredibly pissed off at her insolence he was incredibly turned on and his pants were getting a bit uncomfortable, "I gotta hand it to ya Buff you grew a pair since last time, i find it a huge turn on" he emphasised his words by cupping his growing hard on and moaning slightly."Well mate your never gonna know just how much she can turn you on coz she's mine" an english accent growled from the door.



Spike moved over to where Buffy was sitting and ran his fingers along her neck pushing her sweater aside to show his mark, he leaned down and gently kissed it eliciting a whimper from the slayer. Angelus growled deep in his throat and ran at the cage grabbing the bars that coned ned him "How dare you claim whats mine boy? i swear you'll pay for this childe,you should have known better not to fuck something thats mine but to claim it too, your more stupid than i gave you credit for" he spat out through his clenched teeth, Buffy had never seen him so angry and it scared her slightly, Spike had explained small parts of vampire lore and claiming mates but she'd never thought that Angel had claimed her she only let him drink from her to save him, she felt tears begin to form as thoughts of losing Spike went through her mind.



Sensing his lovers thoughts Spike pulled her close to him and stroked her hair "S'ok pet he never claimed you, peaches here just gets protective and jealous and thinks just beacuse he wants something it makes it his." he glared at his grand sire "She doesnt want you anymore, in fact she never wanted you in the first place she fell for the grand poofter, shes mine mate and i'll kill you before i let you take her" he gently rubbed little circles on Buffy's back until he felt her relax and then let go of her, she sniffed and bit back her tears as she looked up at Angelus.



As he saw her tear filled eyes something in him snapped "Oh god Buffy im so sorry"

"What?" she asked with a confused expression

the vampire shook his head and growed "What the fuck is going on here?" he glared at his childe and his slayer and backed away from the front of the cage "What have you done?" he sat in the corner never removing his gaze from the pair before him until they looked knowingly at one another and left the room.



"Giles i think he's coming back to us" Buffy shouted as she entered the room, Spike grabbed her by the arm and pulled her back, "Luv dont get your hopes up it might have been a one off" he smiled at her not wanting to dishearten her but not wanting her to fall under the impression that everything would just fall back into place.

"Buffy what happened?" Giles made his way over to the table and sat down gesturing for her to do the same, she sat and explained what had happened.



"So he apologised? did he say anything else?"

"Giles since when does Angelus apologise, it had to be Angel fighting through"

"Buffy they are the same person luv just got himself a soul"

"Yes but when he has a soul the demons trapped right? so why not the other way round, couldnt angel be trapped inside of the demon?"

"Well it is possible Buffy but we cant be sure thats whats happened"

"You said the more he fed off humans the less likely we'd get him back right? well he hasnt fed off a human for two days Giles maybe it has the reverse effect, what if the drug just wears off?"

"I suppose it's possible Buffy, ill call Wesley and see if he has heard of this happening and we'll go from there, until then go home and get some rest, maybe call in on Xander and see how he is" he watched her smile fade at the mention of Xanders name and watched her with curiosity,

"Erm i dont think he'll want to see me right now i'll call in on him tomorrow or the next night maybe, but you could call him see if he needs anything right?" she grabbed Spike and headed for the door "Faith will be back from patrol soon and she can watch over Angel, see you tomorrow"
