Chapter 17 for TFL

*June 13*

Buffy walked into the mansion a little after eight am to find Angelus walking from the kitchen holding a tray of food. Buffy: What are you doing Angelus? He turned and looked at Buffy. Angelus: Buffy…when did you get back? He walked over to the couch and set the tray down on the coffee table. Buffy: We got back last night. I wanted to come by and see if Danielle or Ashley needed any help with the ritual seeing that it is they’re birthdays. Angelus raised an eyebrow at her. Angelus: I don’t know but if you like I can see if she’s…I walked into the room and sat myself down beside Angelus.
Danielle: Morning honey. Mmmm breakfast. I reached forward and grabbed a piece of toast as I pulled back I noticed Buffy. Danielle: Buffy, when did you get back? She smiled at me as I ate my toast as I sat there dressed in Angelus’s shirt. Buffy: Last night. I see you had a fun night. I nodded as Angelus hand started up my leg and wrapped around my waist. Danielle: Yep…what are doing here I didn’t except to see you or Giles until later tonight.
She sat down and smiled at me as I wrapped an arm around Angelus neck after I finished my toast. Buffy: I wanted to see if everything is alright and to see if you needed any help with getting ready. I smiled, jumped from my seat and hugged her. Danielle: That would be great…I mean we have Drusilla and Willow preparing us spiritual but I need help getting dressed. She smiled as we both looked at Angelus. Angelus: I guess I should see how Yelsin is getting along before Spike kills him. I stood and hugged him before he could walk away. Danielle: Thank you. He took my face in his hands and kissed me. Angelus: I’ll see you later for the ritual. I nodded as he walked away.
I looked at Buffy. Danielle: I need to go shopping for something that would catch Angelus’s eye and I’m pretty sure Ashley would want to come to find something Spike would like but we need to see if she’s up also we need to get something for Dru seeing that she really can’t leave the mansion to do it for herself. Buffy: Maybe you should just walk around naked. I smirked at her as we walked toward Ashley and Spike’s room. Danielle: Yeah see I thought about that but then I would have Xander watching me and I don’t think I can handle it also to many people walk in and out of my room. She laughed as we walked away.
I stopped her as she as Angelus opened the door. Once we were five feet away I smiled as she reached for the handle. Danielle: You don’t want to go in there before Angelus. She looked at me and heard “Bloody Hell Angelus”. She turned and looked at me. Danielle: See Spike hasn’t gotten the idea that when a door is closed it means quite time for those inside so whenever Angelus gets a chance he walks right in. It makes me laugh until Spike does it to us then it became war and lets just say that Ashley and I have given up hope for them. With a smile we waited as Ashley walked out of the room. Ashley: You have to make him stop. I raised an eyebrow at her. Danielle: Make Spike stop and I’ll talk to Angelus. With a sigh she pulled Buffy and I away. Ashley: We need to go.
An hour later we walked into the mall with Ashley to my right and Willow to Buffy’s left. Buffy: When do you two have to be back? I looked at Ashley and smiled. Danielle: Drusilla wants us back around three-ish so we could prepare. Something about purifying our body and allowing our soul to move onto a better plan so we can be with Angelus and Spike. Willow: Are you sure you want to be doing this on your last day on your mortal life? I know it’s your birthday and all but wouldn’t you rather have cake? I smiled at her and took her arm as Ashley did the same with Buffy. Ashley: Shopping with good friends defiantly cake no. We walked into a store. Danielle: Besides Angelus knows nothing of women style even though he thinks he does. I swear if he tries to buy me another shirt I will hit him. Willow: Did he buy another silk tank? I shook my head. Danielle: No he bought me a t shirt how can I be hot in a t shirt. Buffy smiled as we started our search. Buffy: Come on.
The rest of the gang met at the house a few minutes after we left for the mall to get the living room ready for the ritual. Xander: What am I doing here again? Angelus walked into the living room to find Xander, Oz, Cordelia, Wesley, Nicole and Giles looking around. Spike: Hello everyone. Come to help us I see. Drusilla gave him a glare. Drusilla: Spike play nice or I’ll tell Ashley. He quitted down but started to pout at the others. Angelus: Thanks for coming…I think the best thing to do for now is get the living room ready for the ritual that Wesley and Willow will perform with help from Giles. Giles nodded and looked at Xander, Oz and Wesley. Giles: Xander, Oz, Wesley you three will help Angelus in here while I help Yelsin and Spike prepares for the ritual as Nicole and Drusilla do the same for her and the girls when they return. Everyone turned and did what was needed.
Around 2:30 Buffy, Willow, Ashley and myself walked into the mansion carrying two bags each. Buffy: Willow, I thought the others where going to be here when we got…Max walked into the room and smiled at us. Max: I see that you four had a wonderful afternoon. I smiled at him and tried to look past him into the living room but he wouldn’t let me. Danielle: Where is Angelus? Max: Getting ready for the ritual, I believe. Why don’t you go and get ready while I tell him you’ve returned. I nodded and walked toward my room with Ashley, Buffy and Willow following close behind.
Buffy: So what do you have to do first? I looked at her as I placed my things on my bed. Danielle: Well I’m guessing I would have to purify myself along with Ashley and Drusilla. But I thought Drusilla was going to get every thing ready. Just then someone knocked on my door. Danielle: Come in. The door opened and in walked Drusilla carrying everything we would need. Drusilla: Max told me you were back so I thought I get everything ready while the boys finished getting the ritual set up. I smiled as she closed the door behind her. Willow: Hi Drusilla. She waved to Buffy and Willow before walking into the bathroom.
I sat on my bed with Ashley as Willow and Buffy went to see how the guys were doing. Danielle: So what do you think it would feel like? Ashley looked at me. Ashley: I’m guessing it would hurt like hell and when we wake up we’ll be like Angelus or Spike in my case. I nodded and stood. Danielle: Then I guess we will have to make sure where really ready for this. She nodded as Drusilla walked back into the room smiling. Drusilla: Everything is ready. All you have to do is remove all your clothes and sit in the tub while we bath you. Then you will do the same thing for us before we get dress. I looked at Ashley and she looked at me. Danielle: Well I guess I’ll go first seeing that Angelus is the oldest member of this family. I walked into the bathroom and started to remove my clothes.
I stepped into the tub as Drusilla and Ashley walked into the room. Danielle: I guess we should get started. They kneed down beside the tub and started to wash me. I closed my eyes and meditated as they proceed to help me to find balance before the ritual. Ashley: Let this water wash away the sins of your pass. Drusilla picked up a pitcher of water and poured it over my head. Drusilla: I ask Gia to bless her child as she takes this step to find peace with this life and the next. I bowed my head and splashed some of the water mixture onto my face.
Danielle: I have asked you to help me find the one I lost and now I ask for your blessing that I may live with him in life after death. We waited a few minutes until the water mixture turned from its water color to a purple color. Ashley: Gia has approved of this, may you find happiness with the choice you have made. I finished my bath and stepped out of the tub as they wrapped a towel around me. We did the same for Ashley and Dru. They received the same answer as I did.
The three of us walked back into my bedroom to find Buffy and Willow waiting for us. Buffy: Well I guess Gia gave you her answer. We all nodded and walked toward the bed. Willow: Good. I guess you should get dressed. With help from Buffy and Willow we started on hair. I sat down at my vanity as he Buffy curled my hair and placed my mother’s tiara in my hair. I smiled up at her as moved on to my make up. Buffy: I promised to return it to you. After I was done Ashley was next followed by Drusilla.
Willow: The ritual will be preformed by Wesley, Giles and I at the same time. You along with Yelsin, Spike and Angelus will need to wait until we are finished before they can actually bite you. Ashley and I nodded as we pulled on wedding style dresses in red and black. Danielle: What would we have to do during the ritual? Willow: Well it’s a lot like a wedding until the blood letting. I looked at her as Buffy buttoned up my dress as Ashley asked my question for me. Ashley: Blood letting? Willow and Buffy looked at us. Danielle: How much blood are we talking about? Willow: Just a prick on the finger. We need to make sure that Gia has completely approved of this. I stood in front of the full length mirror as I looked my strapless black full skirt dress as my hair gently traveled down my neck in an elegant updo as my tiara sat on top of my head. Danielle: Alright anything else we should know about? Willow: Not that I can think of. I took a deep breath and looked at my ring finger to see my Claddagh ring looking back at me. Danielle: Alright let’s get this over with. I picked up my skirts as I looked at Ashley and Drusilla who wear dresses similar to mine but in red instead and with that we walked out of my room toward our new life.
We walked into the living room and sat down on our knees in front of the fireplace along side Angelus, Spike and Yelsin. Wesley, Giles and Willow stood in front of us. I looked at Angelus and smiled as he took my hand in his. Angelus: I like everything. I looked at him and smiled. Danielle: Well I wanted to look special seeing you always call me a siog banphrionsa. I thought tonight I change it up a bit and be your siog banríon. He smirked at me and whispered something into my ear. Angelus: I Liam O’Connor take Danielle Summers to be my wedded wife and I’ll be your chroi any day. I blushed and looked at the ground as they started the ritual.
Willow: We call on the powers of the mother to approve this union between her children and those who have passed. Giles: Well call on the powers of the Gods to help us in this binding. Wesley: We ask that you approve of this so that we may help them into their next life. They handed the boys a dagger as they mixed something in a small bowel. Willow: Mother, your sons give their blood so they maybe tested. With a nod they pulled the blades across their hands. They held the bowl under their hands as the blood dripped into the bowls.
Giles: Mother, your daughters give their blood so they maybe tested. They boys handed us the daggers. I took a deep breath and brought the blade across my hands. Danielle: Ow! They held the bowls under our hands as the blood dripped into the bowl. When I pulled my hand away Angelus took it and with a gentle kiss the pain was gone as the bleeding slowed to a halt. I looked up at him with a grateful smile before returning my attention to Giles, Wes and Willow as he laced his fingers with mine.
Wesley: Mother, we ask that you send us a sign that it is alright with this union. They mixed the blood with the other ingredients as the rest of us watched. As the mixture was stirred it started to glow and smoke. Buffy: What is a good sign? She whispered to Xander as he watched with interest. Xander: The way Willow told me about this if the mixture turns turquoise and starts too swilled in the air then it’s a good. She nodded and went back to watch the mixture do what he said it should do. Wesley: The Mother has agreed to this union.
Willow moved toward us and dipped her fingers into the mixture. Willow: With the power given to me by our Mother I bless you both. She made a star on our foreheads as Giles and Wesley did the same to the others. Giles: May your lives be filled with happiness. Wesley: May your lives together be long. They backed away and as one threw the mixture into the fire roaring behind them. We watched as the fire rose and go out. Willow: The other Gods have agreed with the Mother you are free to carry on with you wishes to be together.
Angelus stood and held out his hand for me to take. Angelus: Thank you for doing this for us. I placed my hand in his as he helped me to stand before wrapping his arm around my waist as Spike wrapped an arm around Ashley’s waist and looked at our family. Spike: The next part of the ritual will have to be done in private. Buffy walked up to me as Dru smiled at the group. Drusilla: It is normal for us to do this outside but we ask you to remain in this room while we perform the next part unless you wish to leave. Buffy: I think I speak for the rest of us when we say that we wish to be a part of this family.
I looked at Buffy in shock. Danielle: Buffy what are you talking about? She looked at Giles and sighed. Buffy: While on your honeymoon we talked to the Council and for some reason I’m the Slayer with less power but I can’t just stand by while I know what’s going on. Xander: No offense to Wesley or Nicole but we made a bargain with Buffy that we will be there on the day that we die and I would like to remain with my friends. Willow: Besides I can’t leave Xander after we just got together. Wesley: What about the Hellmouth? Who would protect it? Giles: You and Nicole are its new protectors. Buffy removed something from her jacket and gave it to Nicole. Buffy: This is a letter to my mom…I want you to give it to her after we leave. Nicole nodded and placed it inside her short black leather jacket. Nicole: I will. Angelus looked at Giles and nodded. Angelus: Alright when they wake up we’ll turn you but right now I want to do this in private. Wesley and Nicole left as I followed Angelus toward the garden.
We walked toward our oak tree and like many nights before we sat under it just watching the moon. Angelus: I love you. I smiled as he moved my hair away from the right side of my neck. I reached up and gently touched his face as he moved closer to me. Danielle: I hope you approve of my clothing choice. I sat there as he slowly felt the fabric of my dress as I untied his tie. The next time he looked up at me he was smirking. Angelus: Velvet. I smiled as I brought his face closer to me. Danielle: Only the best for my husband. With that he kissed me before changing. Angelus: You truly are a vixen mo siog. I reached up and traced the ridges on his face. Danielle: You’re beautiful. He smirked at me as I smiled at him. Danielle: I love you. With a simple kiss, I guided him toward my neck. I relaxed as he bite down and held me close as he drank. Danielle: Thank you Liam. As my heart slowed down he cut his wrist with his teeth. Angelus: I will see you soon Elizabeth. He held his hand to my mouth and forced me to drink. After I was through he carried me into the mansion and into our room where he set me down on the bed and watched as I lay there peaceful for the first time in centuries amongst silk, satin and velvet.
Ashley and Spike walked outside and sat down in one of the gardens. Spike: Pet are you alright? She turned and smiled at him. Ashley: Yeah me good…I was just wondering if it would hurt. Spike moved her hair away from right side of her neck and held her head in his hand. Spike: I can make it less painful if you wish. She looked up at him with a simple smile. Ashley: Thank you. She kissed him and turned so he could bit down. Spike changed and kissed her before biting down on the exposed part of her neck. She relaxed as he let go and bit his wrist letting the blood drip from the wound. He held his hand up to her mouth and watched as she drank from him. When she was finished he picked her up and carried her back to their room. He laid her down on their bed and lay beside her as she went through the change as he looked over her beautiful velvet red dress thinking she was something out of one of his poems he wrote so many years ago for her.
Drusilla and Yelsin where setting by the fountain. Drusilla drew small circles on his hand as he looked at the moon for the last time. Yelsin: Drusilla? She turned and looked at him. Drusilla: Yes. He untied his tie followed by unbuttoned his shirt allowing her to choose what side to bite. Yelsin: I love you my princess. She changed and gently kissed him before biting the right side of his neck. When his heart started to slow down she cut a path across her breast and pulled him toward her. Drusilla: I will be waiting my prince. He drank until he had enough. She picked him up and walked back into their room where she set him down on the bed and laid next to him. Drusilla: I love you. With her dress covering her she laid her head on his chest as she drifted off to sleep.
The others waited in the living room until Angelus walked out a few hours after the ritual was completed still wearing his simple black trousers, white dress shirt with his tie still hanging around his neck and red waist coat having left his jacket in our room as I slept. Angelus: I thought you four left already. Buffy stood and looked at him. Buffy: Is she…he nodded and rubbed the back of his neck. Buffy: She won’t wake up for a while right? Angelus: Yeah. She walked over to him and looked at him with big eyes. Buffy: Can I see her? He nodded and moved aside. With a hug to Giles she walked toward my room. Giles: I hope she knows what she’s doing. Angelus: I do too but if I know Danielle she won’t do anything that would hurt Buffy. With a sigh he sat down beside the others and waited as he let the cousin of his mate say goodbye.
Buffy walked into my room and sat down beside me. She moved my hair out of my face and smiled at me carefully taking in every detail. Buffy: Well you where right. I can’t live like this anymore and in a few hours we’ll be together forever. She kissed my forehead and left me alone. Buffy: I love you kiddo. She opened the door and walked outside as Angelus walked into the room.
Buffy: Angelus? He turned and looked at her. Buffy: I never told you this before but I’m glad you found her. It wouldn’t have worked between us if you got your soul back. He smirked at her and pulled her into a hug before she could react. Angelus: I figured you would move on from Soul Boy. They laughed and looked at me as I lay there like Sleeping Beauty waiting for a kiss from her one true love. Angelus: I should see how she’s doing and I can’t stress this enough but do not come in here after she wakes up understand. She nodded and took one last look at me. Buffy: I’ll tell the others the same thing and warn them about Yelsin and Ashley. With a smile she left him alone.
