Catch you on the flipside

Everyone froze in shock when Kennedy’s house suddenly flashed, Buffy and Kennedy were the first to react, dropping her cup of beer Kennedy tore toward the house with a mothers fear, and she had just sent Sheridan to bed….



“Nonononono” Kennedy murmured jumping over the steps and shoving her way through the door, colliding with a small winged demon and jumped back and looked at him a moment before her daughter cried out and ran to her.



“Mama it took her.” Sheridan whimpered into Kennedy’s leg. Kennedy looked around in confusion then back at the demon boy. He was almost as tall as her, with tan wings and horns…and the same eyes as Sheri.



“Who are you?” Kennedy said in surprise, studying the child…least she GUESSED he was a child.



“I am Nikos…son of Lord Sasha of the Grecian Underworld.” The boy said, puffing his chest out in an attempt to appear larger than he was.

“Sasha?” She frowned and looked between Nikos and Sheridan…upon further inspection she realized they looked very much alike…enough to be siblings. Because if what the boy said were true…they were.

Skye smiled as she lowered Adrian into his bed, gently pulling a blanket over her son….her son…it was so strange to be saying that. She shoved back the nostalgia when she thought about all that she had missed. Five years….was this how Mother felt? After she came back from her exile into Egypt?



Turning she saw Ryan watching her hungrily, as if any moment she would vanish into thin air. Looking over at Tayrn she smiled again, the girl was lying on her stomach, thumb planted firmly in mouth with her butt sticking straight up in the air.



“She always sleeps like that?” Skye asked softly. Ryan nodded and reached for her hand.

“Come on…its time for bed. I’m sure Faith is going to have a feast ready in the morning.” Ryan said with a smile. Skye nodded and followed her mate out of the room.

Looking around the hallway she paused when she saw new photos on the walls, pictures of her brothers and sister at various stages, her twins she guessed as babies…and she noticed in all the pictures Ryan was present in…she wasn’t smiling.



Swallowing hard she followed the hybrid into there room. Originally hers…feeling an overpowering sense of déjà vu she looked around…everything was in the same place, what was new was that her closet had several boxes piled up labeled with her name, as if sitting and waiting for her return.



What clothes were hanging in the closets was worn and old…turning to the bed she felt nervous suddenly.



She wasn’t sure why. All this was just so perfect…but so scary at the same time.

Ryan frowned, puzzled for a moment at the apprehension in Skye’s frame, she was nervous?

“Its okay princess…im tired too. Let’s just sleep tonight.” Ryan said softly and in all honesty she wasn’t lying. Part of her craved to relearn all those things about her mate that only she knew but at the same time…she was getting what she had prayed for for years, another night in Skye’s arms.



The rest could wait.



Skye nodded, feeling a little guilty over her relief. Pulling off her clothes and tugging her shoes off she climbed onto the bed and felt tears sting her eyes as she watched Ryan follow suit. What was wrong with her?

“What’s wrong?” Ryan asked “Why tears?”



“I really don’t know.” Skye said pulling the tiger close and lying down beside her. Swallowing she tried to stop but couldn’t…maybe after all this time…the reality of really getting what she wanted? And not at the same time…she wanted those years back. But she knew she couldn’t get them back…



“Sshh…its okay Skylar…I got you now.” Ryan said wrapping her arms around those of her wolfs.

Sasha coughed violently as she struggled to stand; looking through teary eyes she realized she was in court….FUCK! Sasha looked around and saw all of the big time Gods were here…even those not from her region. Odin, Freya, Thor along with Zeus brother Jupiter…shaking her head she stood and tried to wipe the pain from her face.

Looking up at Zeus she straightened her shoulders.



“Sasha…you have broken the sacred order I gave you. Not to return to earth…instead of honoring this you did as you were expected. You took a ghost of heaven who had fated to die and returned her to her realm…you have undone the Fates designs. Altered the balance and ONCE again…changed the course of fate. How do you plead?” Zeus thunderous voice rumbled across the open chamber, making most cower in there seats.



“Ummm….lets see.” Sasha quickly did a mental count of her options. She hadn’t expected them to find her so fast…”NOT guilty.” She exclaimed proudly. God they were going to fry her for this.



“How…HOW DARE YOU!” Hera screeched…Sasha rolled her eyes and quickly dodged a lighting bolt from Zeus.



“I should unmake you Sasha. Tell me why I shouldn’t” Zeus said quietly. Sasha winced…damn she really had pissed em off…unmaking a demon or God of anykind was death…and it hurt like a bitch or so she had heard.



“I had an oath…I only wished to uphold it.” Sasha decided it was time to kiss some ass. “It was what I was made for sir.” She looked away and tried to wrap her mind around the fact that she had really called him ‘sir’ “When you banished me to the Underworld…I became a God. And Gods are meant to reign over humans…I simply wished to…do that.” Sasha knew this wasn’t the strongest argument but her head was still spinning slightly from getting pulled back here.



“You value humans…I will spare you and let you return to earth with powers if you can tell me why humans are better than Gods.” Zeus stated blandly. Obviously bored.

Sasha frowned…humans aren’t better than Gods? What the hell? “They have souls?” She said.

“No…Sasha you are sentenced and ordered to find the truth behind the virus which plagues earth. Because you have such a deep interest in mortals you will do so as one. You have thirty earth days.”



“….WHAT! You ca…” Sasha’s voice drowned out as once again in the space of twenty minutes Zeus cast her out of the heavens and tumbling back to earth.
