Chapter 16 for TFL

After our shower I got all my things together and walked into the Buffy’s and Giles room where we would be getting ready. I walked into the room to find Drusilla fixing Willow’s hair and Cordelia working on Buffy’s make up as Ashley sat on the bed waiting for her turn. Danielle: I’m here. Buffy looked up and gave me a small smile. Buffy: I am really sorry for walking in like that but its noon and we have to get ready. I shook my head and walked over to the bed where the others had laid their clothes out. Danielle: It’s alright but I’m thinking of getting locks. To many people walk into out our room without knocking and one of these day’s their going to walk in on something they don’t want to see. I sat down beside Ashley and pouted as they finished.
Cordelia: Guess someone is not a morning person. I looked at her and frowned. Danielle: You’ll be upset to if your cousin barged into your room during snuggling after sex. Cordelia smiled and waited as Willow moved to Cordelia’s chair as Ashley sat down in front of Drusilla. Buffy: Sorry. I gave her a look as she sat down beside me. Danielle: I’ll be laughing if it happens to you missy. She sighed and went back to her lunch as the others worked. Danielle: So Dru have you and Yelsin done anything that may consider naughty? She raised an eyebrow at me. Drusilla: That is none of your business…but what we have done is enjoyable. I smiled and laughed to myself as I ate the lunch Max delivered before I arrived.
The guys were dressed and were waiting in the living room when Aunt Joyce walked in around two. Joyce: Hello everyone. They guys looked up from changing and smiled at her. Giles: Hello Joyce. He took a deep breath and tried to tie his tie but failed. Giles: Blasted thing. Angelus looked up and sighed. He walked over to Giles and did it for him. Angelus: Relax everything will be fine. He nodded and took another deep breath as Yelsin talked with Joyce.
Yelsin: Sorry about the house. He looked and tried to finish his tie but failed. She walked over and did it for him. Joyce: It’s alright. Buffy and Danielle told me that it was for saving the world so their paying me in installments. She finished his tie and looked at the others. Joyce: Who else needs help before I go and check on the girls? Xander and Oz walked over to Joyce to get help with their ties as Wesley and Spike smirked at them for knowing how to do it in the first place.
She looked around the room at all the well dressed men and smiled as I walked into the room wearing my bridesmaids dress. Danielle: Giles do you remember where Buffy put her curling iron? Giles looked up from fixing his waist coat to see me standing in the middle of the room with my hair pulled up in a messy half bun while the rest of it was curled. Giles: You look beautiful. I smiled at him and blushed a bit. Danielle: Thanks but do you know where the curling iron is because we seem to be having trouble with Cordelia’s. He shook his head and looked at me. Giles: I thought she put it in the cabinet in the bathroom. I smiled and kissed his cheek. Danielle: Thanks Giles. Aunt Joyce took my hand and led me away before I could kiss Angelus. Joyce: Come on we need to get Buffy ready. I smiled at Angelus as we walked away.
We walked into Buffy’s and Giles room to find her sitting on the bed waiting for her to be finished. Danielle: Giles thought you put the curling iron in the cabinet in the bathroom. She nodded and looked at me with tears in her eyes. Joyce: Buffy, what’s wrong? We sat down beside her and waited for her to say something. Buffy: I’m getting married. Aunt Joyce smiled and ran her fingers through her daughter’s hair. Joyce: Yes you are.
Danielle: Remember what we thought our wedding would be like. She looked at me and smiled. Buffy: We where going to have a double wedding and the guys would be twins so we could always be together. I laughed and smiled at her. Danielle: And we were going to have yellow as our bridesmaids’ dresses. She shook her head and smiled. Buffy: What were we thinking? I smiled as Ashley walked in with the curling iron in question. Ashley: I found it. Buffy stood and took her seat in front of their large mirror. Buffy: Let’s get this over with; I have a wedding to get to.
Ashley and I walked into the living room a few minutes later to find the guys standing around waiting to do something. Ashley: I thought you guys were going to the church? Giles looked up and nodded. Giles: Is everything alright? I smiled and walked over to Angelus. Danielle: Everything is fine but you guys should have gone already. Giles walked over to me and touched my cheek. Giles: I wanted to make sure everything was alright. I nodded and pushed him toward the door as Ashley did the same with Yelsin, Oz and Xander. Danielle: Everything is fine. We’ll meet you at the church in a few minutes and in an hour you’ll have Buffy as your wife. Now get going. He nodded again and kissed my forehead. Giles: Your right. See you soon. Ashley and I watched them get into Xander’s car and drive toward the church.
We turned and looked at Angelus and Spike. Danielle: Can you two do us a big favor and help the others get everything together while we make sure they’re done. Angelus looked at me and at Spike. Angelus: What do you mean by getting everything together? Ashley looked at me and at them. Ashley: Well the flowers need to be moved from the fridge to the car and the rice needs to be…Danielle: The church takes care of the rice hun. She nodded and looked at Spike. Ashley: Just the flowers then. They gave us a kiss and walked toward the kitchen as we walked back to Buffy and Giles’s room.
Danielle: Are we almost finished here? I pushed the door open to find Buffy in her strapless full skirt gown. Joyce: Almost. I watched as she gave a box to Buffy. Joyce: I wore this on my wedding day and I want you to wear it. Buffy open it and found her mother’s veil inside. Buffy: Mom you didn’t have…they hugged and she took it out to look at it. Buffy: How do I wear it? Danielle: With this. I handed her a simple box as Aunt Joyce took the veil. Buffy: Danni you didn’t have…she open the box and removed a simple silver tiara. Buffy: It’s beautiful but where did you get it? I took it from her and had her sit down.
Danielle: It was my moms. She wanted me to wear it the day I get married and seeing that the closest thing I’ll get to it will be the mating ritual with Angelus I want you to wear it today but I want it back. She laughed and watched as I placed the simple Roman tiara on top of her up-swept hair style. Buffy: Thank you Danielle. I smiled as we placed the veil over it. Cordelia: Well all you need now is something blue. Ashley walked over and smiled. Ashley: I think I got that covered. She produced a simple white laced garter with a light blue ribbon. Buffy: Where did you…Ashley looked at Willow and smiled. Willow: We made it for you from magic see. Ashley turned it so she could see a small cross hanging from the garter. Buffy smiled and pulled up her skirts. Buffy: I guess I’m ready then. She pulled it on and left the room.
We got to the church an hour before to wait for the photographer to finish up with the guys. I stood in the dressing room pacing as someone knocked at the door. Danielle: Yeah.
The door opened and in walked Angelus. Angelus: How is everything holding up in here? He walked over and took me in his arms as I laid my head against his chest. Danielle: Buffy is fine, a little nervous but she just wants to get the pictures over with. He kissed my head and nodded. Angelus: What about you? I moved away a bit and looked at him. Danielle: I…I just want her to be happy and to be back in our bed where I can just lay in your arms and think about nothing. He looked down at me and smiled.
Angelus: I was hoping you would say that. I moved to kiss him when the photographer walked into the room. Steven: Well let’s take some pictures of the bride and I’ll set up for the wedding. I sighed and looked at Angelus. Danielle: See you later. He nodded and gave me another kiss before leaving the room.
A few minutes later I looked at Ashley as Willow walked down the isle. Danielle: Are you ready? Ashley took a deep breath and looked at what stood in front of us. Ashley: No…but we have to do it. I nodded and walked down the isle with her following me a few minutes later. I smiled at Giles as he looked at me walking down the isle with a smile on his face. I looked around the room and noticed Angelus sitting beside Aunt Joyce with a small smile on his face that caused me to blush as I took my placed beside Willow to wait for Ashley and Buffy.
She walked down the isle and smiled when Giles took her hand. I smiled at the Minster as he asked them to repeat their vows after him. I glanced at Angelus and repeated what Buffy said to Giles in a whisper so only he could hear me. Danielle: I, Danielle Summers take you Angelus O’Connor to be my husband as long as we both shall live. He smiled to himself as I blushed before looking away. The Minister finished the ceremony a few moments later. Minister: I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Giles. Everyone stood and watched as we walked out of the room after them.
We stood outside waiting for Buffy and Giles to come out. Angelus walked over to me as the sun finished setting. Angelus: I heard what you said. I looked up at him as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. Danielle: I’m glad. Buffy and Giles walked out a few minutes later and we threw rice at them as they got into their limo that would take them to the Bronze.
I held the door open for her and smiled at Giles. Giles: Thank you for being here with us. I smiled and gave him a hug as Buffy said goodbye to Aunt Joyce. Danielle: Your welcome…but I’ll give you a proper goodbye later. He nodded and watched as Buffy gave me a hug. Buffy: Thank you for this. I smiled and returned her hug. Danielle: Thank me later. They got into the car and drove away.
The rest of us got into our cars and drove to the Bronze before them. I smiled as Angelus walked up to me with a glass of champagne. Angelus: Is everything alright? I smiled as I took the glass from him. Danielle: Everything is fine for the first time in a long time. He kissed my forehead as Buffy and Giles walked in. Oz: I would like to introduce for the first time Mr. Rupert Giles and Mrs. Buffy Giles. Everyone cheered as they walked into the room. Danielle: Gotta do the cousin thing. I gave him a small kiss and walked toward the stage.
I climbed the small stairs to the stage and took the microphone from Oz with a smile.
Danielle: Hi everyone. I know most of you don’t know me but I’m Buffy’s younger cousin Danielle and I would like to say something but I need everyone to quite down or I will be forced to sick Cordelia on you. That shut the room up. Danielle: Thanks. I took a deep breath as Angelus walked up to me and took my hand in his. I smiled at him before turning to face the group.
Danielle: Well now that I have your attention I guess I would like to say something about the two amazing people that we’re helping to celebrate this occasion. I looked at the group. Danielle: Many of you know Buffy or Giles is some way or another but I want to say something that I guess none of you understand about them quite the way I do or want to now. Everyone laughed a bit and looked around the room. I smiled and looked at Angelus with a playful look before going back to the crowd.
Danielle: Buffy, you and I have been through so much. From growing up together to crazy pre-teen years, first boyfriends and might I add some things we should never have learned like where our mom’s hide their favorite wine. I took a sip of my drink and smiled at Buffy as she returned the smile. Danielle: I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m trusting you with a very precious thing Giles and I wish you the best of luck as you have given me. Angelus wrapped an arm around my waist as I passed the microphone to Willow.
Angelus and I walked off the stage and sat down at one of the tables after everyone said what they need to say. Buffy sat down beside Giles and the waiters passed out dinner to the tables. I smiled at Angelus as I picked at my dinner. Angelus: What are you eating? I smirked at him and pushed his hand away. Danielle: I am having chicken and carrots, what can I help ya with mister. He smiled at me. Angelus: Well I see that most of the people are dancing and I was wondering if you would like to join me. I looked up at him and took his hand. Danielle: I would love to. We walked out onto the dance floor. Angelus took my hand in his and wrapped an arm around my waist as I wrapped an arm around his neck.
I looked up at him as we danced. Danielle: What are you thinking about? He looked down at me and smiled. Angelus: I was thinking about you and me…he leaned down and whispered into my ear. Angelus: Completely naked in our room just lying in each other’s arms. I smiled at him and moved closer into his embrace. Danielle: I was thinking the same thing but right now I just want to enjoy this. I laid my head on his chest and smiled as he wrapped his arms around me pulling me even closer.
Danielle: I feel like a normal girl. He kissed the top of my head as Oz walked up to the mic. Oz: Its time to cut the cake folks. We turned and watched Buffy and Giles cut and feed each other cake. Danielle: They’re prefect for each other. Angelus laid his head against my shoulder and smiled. Angelus: They remind me of us when we where younger.
I turned and looked at him surprised. Danielle: What do you remember? He turned me into his arms and smiled down at me. Angelus: I remember the night of Abigail’s wedding. I nodded as Buffy and Giles whipped away any remains of their cake attack off of each others faces. Danielle: We stood there and watched as they danced the night away. I remember your father asked you to follow him and before I knew it I was pulled away and blind folded. He pulled me closer as the photographer took pictures of the happy couple before moving on to the other members of the wedding party.
Angelus: We where both blind folded and turned around several times until the stopped us and the next thing I remember is seeing you looking back at me. I touched his face and smiled at him with tears in my eyes. Danielle: I wanted nothing more then to be your wife at that moment. He stroked my cheek and smiled at me as he leaned down to kiss me when we heard “Danielle!” I pulled away to see my cousin walking up to me.
I turned and looked at her. Danielle: Yea, what’s on your mind Buffy? She pulled me into a hug. Buffy: I’m so happy. I smiled at her and looked at Angelus. Danielle: So am I. How was the cake? Buffy turned and looked at Angelus as a smirk crossed her face. Buffy: Wonderful but I need you to do something for me. I blinked a few times and looked at her. Danielle: What can I do for ya? She took my hand and pulled me toward Giles. Buffy: I want a picture of you and Rupert dancing and then one of you and Angelus. Danielle: Buffy you know as well as I do that vampires can’t…Buffy: I already thought of that and made sure that the pictures are all digital that way you can see them when we get back from our honeymoon. I smiled as Giles took my hand and led me to the dance floor.
Giles took my left hand in his right as I placed my right on his back as his left went around my waist. Danielle: So is this a dad and daughter kind of dance or just me dancing with a new family member. I looked up at him as we waltzed to the music. Giles: I hope this to be a step-father having his first and last dance with his daughter. I smirked at him as he turned me around. Danielle: I think that could work but you have to explain it to everyone else why you’re dancing with your wife’s cousin and I don’t think they’ll understand it sugar daddy. He raised an eyebrow at me as we finished his dance. Giles: I will not answer to that name. I smiled and kissed his cheek as Angelus walked over and asked if he could have the next dance. Giles: Of course. He kissed my cheek and placed my hand in Angelus before walking off to find Buffy.
Angelus: What did you two talk about? I looked up at him and smiled as he turned me around. Danielle: This and that. Do you want to get something to drink? He smiled and led me toward the bar. Bartender: What can I get you two? Angelus looked at him. Angelus: Champagne. He nodded and walked away as I turned to watch Giles and Buffy dance with each other. Angelus: What are you thinking about mo siog? I smiled as he walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. Danielle: Nothing…I’m just glad they’re happy. I leaned back into his arms and watched them until the bartender came back with our drinks.
The night passed by slowly for us. I snuggled into Angelus neck as he carried me back to our room a few minutes after two am. Danielle: What do you want to do now? He smiled at me as he walked into our room. Angelus: I was thinking of just letting you sleep but I have another plan. He sat me down on the bed and kissed me as he unbuttoned my dress. I shrived as his hand touched my back before moving down to the zipper. He lowered it and helped me to stand on the ground.
Danielle: What are you doing? I smiled at him as I stood allowing my dress to fall to the ground. Angelus: Keeping your promise that I could do nothing more then to remove this dress from your body and have my way with you. I smiled as I wrapped my arms around his neck. Danielle: I like your plan. He placed me back on the bed and started to have his way with me as Buffy and Giles boarded a plane for England at that very moment.
