As the spell came to an end Xander curled into a ball, stunned and hollow. His father knew what he was, what had been done to him and what he had done in return. Tears streamed down his face and he huddled into himself sobbing softly.
Remus crawled to his son and turned him over, rocking the devastated boy in his arms. "You are so strong, I am honored to have you as my son." Remus told him gently.
Xander looked up at his father and then shuddered, "Really?" He asked softly, his voice and manner that of a child grasping at a hope he did not believe was real.
"Really." Remus promised.
Xander sighed and hugged his father close. Remus kissed his brow and just sat holding his son.
"Xander?" A voice called softly. He turned and smiled weakly at his friends and mate.
"Hi." He said weakly.
The group moved over to them each taking a chance to touch the two men and make sure that they were okay. Xander looked over at Hallie and saw her gentle knowing smile. Xander glared weakly at her and forced himself to stand. He went to the suddenly nervous Justice Demon and grabbed her into a hug, whispering something in her ear, that not even those with supernatural hearing could pick up. Seconds later the pair disappeared.
