Chapter Fifteen
(sorry for the very long wait i had to deal with some things...i think i'm in a better place now emotionally and i finally got a good computer so...no more waiting forever for new chapters)
Dawn smiled resting her head on Spike's shoulder, they laid on the couch watching some horror move about a haunted house.
She was still replaying everything that had happened. She couldn't believe that Spike and her had kissed and that he cared--that he was finally hers.
She would never let him go.
She lifted her head as she heard someone at the door and she saw Xander come into the room.
"Hey, Dawn where's--what is Spike doing here?" he asked, setting down a box of pizza on the table.
"He's watching me--Buffy said he can come over again."
"Oh...okay well...I brought some pizza," Xander said and bit into one of the slices.
"I already made some dinner," Spike said lighting a cigarette.
"You--You made dinner?" he raised an eyebrow but didn't say any more then that as he was too busy devouring the pizza slice.
"Hey," Willow said as she walked in the room, Tara at her side their eyes both flicked to Spike who was sitting casually on the couch.
"Spike? Does Buffy know you're here?"
Spike rolled his eyes, annoyed at the big deal they were making of his prescence. She smirked inwardly at the big deal they'd make if they knew that his tongue had been inside little Dawnie's mouth.
His Dawn--he would never let her go.
"Yeah she knows," Dawn said just as Buffy walked into the door a fresh bruise on her face.
"There was a real mean demon tonight, gave me a little bit of a workout," she saw the pizza box, "Ooh we're having pizza," she reached for one.
"Spike also made something for dinner and Buffy nearly choked on her slice and she raised a brow quizzically.
"You cooked dinner?" she asked and Spike sighed and stood up rolling eyes again.
"Yeh, I cooked lasagna," he said and Buffy couldn't help but giggle and he scowled.
"What is so funny about a bloke cookin' a meal?" he asked and Buffy shook her head an amused smile on her lips.
"Nothing its just I didn't even know you could cook--or that you remembered how it's not like you eat,"
"Yeh, yeh," he said and he picked up his jacket and slipped it one.
"Well if we're done laughin at me I'm gonna get home," he said and him and Dawn shared a quick knowing glance and he smiled.
"Bye, bit. See you around," he said.
"Maybe you can come over tomorrow, most likely Anya'll be too busy at the Magic Box and Willow and Tara'll be at school. So I'll let you know," she said and Spike nodded.
He left and smiled all the way back to his crypt, still feeling Dawn's warm soft lips on his.
He could not remember when he had been happier.
He could finally love his Dawn and he would never let anything or any one hurt her.
She was his Dawn forever.
He was in a pleasant stupor of sorts and did not noticed that he was being followed.
