ANUBIS CHAMBER - DAY

They slowly crept out of the dark labyrinth and up to the foot of the enormous half buried lower part of Anubis.

The first thing they did after having taken a look around was to try to get as much of the dirt and spider webs out of the hair and off their clothes.

Then they heard the sound again, from the other side of the statue, coming closer now. And closer.

Rick shoved Evelyn behind his back, causing Willow to smile and the British woman to kick him. Hopping on one leg, he shot a look her way as he raised his gun.

Again the sound could be heard, closer!

O'Connell leapt out.

Three horrible sweaty faces lunged at him.

But Rick didn't pull the trigger because it was just the Americans with their guns up, cocked and aimed.

"Ya scared the bejeezus out of us, O'Connell." Henderson rolled his eyes.

"Likewise."

Now it would have been a good time to have lowered their guns, but nobody did. Daniels grinned, playing the tough one.

"This here is our statue,...friend."

"Don't see your name on it,...pal"

And that was when Beni, five Diggers and the Egyptologist stepped out of the shadows, all holding guns aimed at O'Connell.

"Ten to one, O'Connell, your odds aren't so good."
low low in the mean time tried to prevent herself from killing him. It would be so easy, just a little rock from the ceiling. She could do it so that nobody else would get hurt. Yes, he would die but she liked that idea more and more when she thought about it.

"I've had worse"

"Yeah, me too." Jonathan clenched a tiny derringer, feeling strong with Rick by his side. Like he had never before in his life.

Rick gave him a sideway glance, he liked him but Jonathan was a real pain in the ass most of the time.He looked back to Beni and could see that he cocked his gun, grinning, he wanted it to happen.

The tension thickened, nobody saw that both women whispered in each other's ear. They had forgotten about them until Evey gently took O'Connell's gun hand and pulled it down.

"Let's be nice, children, if we're going to play together, we must learn to share."

The witch had meanwhile made her way into the shadows preparing herself to do what was needed if the testosterone got the better of them. Not needing a spell after all she removed the bullets out of their guns.

Evelyn pulled Rick away, not listening to his rambling about stubborn women and that they would be the downfall. Jonathan and the Warden followed, Willow on their heals.

Beni and the Americans slowly lowered their guns, most of them laughing. The Egyptologist excitedly began translating the hieroglyphs. While Beni looked down his nose to where a big red spot had suddenly appeared. Willow grinned to herself. Although she couldn't kill, who was to say that she couldn't torment him a little.

INT. IMHOTEP'S CHAMBER - DAY

O'Connell and Jonathan were using sledgehammers against the ceiling. Evelyn was gently chipping away with a tiny chisel.

"According to my calculations, we should be right under the statue. We'll come up right between his legs." Blushing she let out her breath, "Oh my."

"And when those dirty Yanks go to sleep," Jonathan looked at Rick and Willow a little embarrassed. "No offense."

"None taken."

"We'll sneak up and steal that book right out from under them."

"And you're sure you can find the secret compartment?"

"Yes, if their Egyptologist hasn't already found it."

"I say, what's our smelly little nd gnd got himself up to? And where is Willow?" Jonathan looked around searching.

INT. SCARAB CHAMBER - DAY

The Warden crawled into a dark chamber and lighted a torch. Not able to see her, Willow walked right though a wall into the same chamber. She watched as his eyes began to gleam when he saw a mural wall come to life.

Embedded into it were dozens of blackthysthyst scarabs, glittering images of the sacred beetles. She already walked out of the room as the warden pulled out a pocked knife and started prying away at one of the precious bugs.

INT. ANUBIS' CHAMBER _ DAY

As the witch made it into the Anubis Chamber, Beni and the Americans hovered around the Egyptologist, who had found the secret compartment inside the Statue. The Egyptologist brushed sand away from the seam.

Henderson stepped forward and grabbed the seam, only to be quickly stopped by one of the Egyptologist.

"Seti was no fool." Henderson saw the intense look in the other man's eyes. So it was no wonder that moved away looking back at the native diggers.

"Yeah, sure...." with a smile that showed his truth face, he winked at the others. "We'll let them open it."

The Egyptologist nodded, then yelled in Egyptian at the diggers. They hesitated, filled with fear. A feeling Willow knew was appropriate. Her eyes again found Daniels who had pulled out his gun, aiming it at three of the Diggers.

Thesihesitantly stepped forward with crowbars and stuck them into the seams. The other Diggers backed away, scared shitless.

She whispered a prayer to the gods for the men, who soon would die. She not only knew about the little safe guardings from her time.

Beni and the Americans exchanged looks, and then they backed away as well.

INT. IMHOTEP'S CHAMBER - DAY

Not knowing from the things that happened not to far away, the three dissimipeoppeople were still digging into the ceiling. Cursing Rick tried to get the dust out of his mouth, not wanting to spit while Evey looked at him.

"Lemme get this straight, they stuck a sharp, red-hot poker up your nose, cut your brain into small pieces, then ripped it all out through your nostrils?"

"OUCH! That's really got to hurt." Jonathan knew all this already, but just thinking about it made him feel sick.

"It's called mummification. You're dead when they do this so you don't feel it" Evelyn moved around them to get a better look at what they were doing. She would have loved to do this on her own. Too great was the fear that they could damage whatever was there.

"still...."

"Yeah, That'd bring you back to life." Rick had still not forgotten about the look in Willows eyes as she had told him that not everybody had been death.

"You two are worse than a couple of schoolboys."

Before either of them had a chance to answer her, a huge chunk of the roof suddenly gave way.

O'Connell grabbed Evey and jerked her clear while Jonathan jumped for the wall.

As a massive stone casement dropped out of the ceiling and crashed to the floor. Dust flew, filling the room.

INT. ANUBIS CHAMBER

Having heard the crash, Beni and the Americans had their guns pointed at the floor. Willow had also turned she knew that they had found him. Her heart began to hammer in her chest, she had to go.

The Egyptologist could care less, he looked at the Diggers, gripping their crowbars, and yelled, "FENI!"

The three Diggers pulled hard, the ancient seams started to give.

Again the man yelled.

The Diggers gave one final pull and an intense burst of liquid sprayed out of the seam.

Hitting the three men. Melting their skin clean off. They screamed.

Dying horrible. Half skeletal by the time they hit the ground.


INT. IMHOTEP'S CHAMBER _ DAY

The dust had started to clear. Rick, Evelyn and Jonathan slowly got up and stepped over to the massive stone casement. Looking down onto the sarcophagus. Nobody noticed the person that seemed to walk though the wall.

"Oh my god, ...it looks like, it looks like a sarcophagus." Evelyn was bouncing around it like a child that had found her birthday present early.

"Why would they bury somebody in the ceiling?" "They didn't, they buried him at the foot of Anubis." Willow said making herself known to the others that looked up. She could see in Rick's eyes that he would love to ask her where she had been.

"He was either someone of great importance or he did something very naughty."
