AN: Yeah I know I haven't finished any of the others I've been working on. So you won't be surprised to find that this one will be updated very rarely. I'm going to try to finish a couple of other fics. So I have no idea how long it will take.

AN2: This is post chip Spike, but presoul. Doyle is still alive and Oz is still with Willow. Anya never returned from wherever it is she went. Also this is going to reflect a little bit of a challenge that I issued a while back that had Oz kidnapping Xander to punish him for kissing Willow. Richie is still alive and the demon was destroyed with the help of a certain slayer and her friends.

Summary: Xander sacrifices himself to save those he loves. How will they live with what he's done?

AN: I guess I should have mentioned this sooner; I am severely playing with the time line. Xander, Willow, and Faith are all around 18. Kendra and Buffy are both 19. Yes Kendra is still alive and Faith never went bad and until recently was not a slayer and had never been in Sunnydale.

Chapter 13: Confusion and Chaos or He’s back!


Xander looked at Buffy and Willow who grinned at him in response; he then looked towards Giles and Angel and noticed the concerned looks on their faces aimed at Spike and at him. “Okay, what am I missing? You said the last thing I remembered was six months ago. Why are there three slayers, immortals, Jesse, seven new mojo people, two angels and a half demon among us and why did a Goddess say I’m her chosen and his mate?” Xander asked pointing to Will Turner at the end.


“Alexander, six months ago we came home from Chicago to find you tying Spike up in the basement and we had you bonded together.” Francesca started.


Xander blinked and shook his head; “I went from being a virgin straight to kinky gay sex?” he looked back at Buffy and Willow. “How did this happen? Was there a spell involved, did I have fun at least?” Buffy fell against Kendra, who was blushing, laughing so hard she was gasping for breath, while Willow and Jesse fought to stay on their feet. Faith snickered at the confusion and blushes the dark haired boy’s words caused.


“Unfortunately there was no kinky gay sex involved.” Spike said sadly, making the laughter and blushing increase. Angel covered his Childe’s mouth and thanked the Gods he could not blush. Spike raised an eyebrow and looked up at his Sire, he purred, as he smelled the older vampire’s obvious arousal. Well he may have had things work out to his benefit after all. Oh, he wasn’t going to let anyone hurt his whelp or give up on his feelings for the boy, but he and Angel had a history and Spike had never stopped loving the older vampire. Spike’s purr had Angel’s eyes widening. The pair shared a look that held great promise.


Xander blinked in confusion and then looked at his parents again. “Okay so I was married without sex, wait, does that mean I’m still married?” he asked bewildered.


“No a demon broke the bonding; you and William are no longer married.” Francesca answered softly.


“Okay, so what else is missing? I know something is going on. You are all too serious for something else not to have happened?” Xander’s eyes were somber and he looked at each of them as though weighing their souls.


Willow was the first to crack, as she had never been able to withstand Xander when he was like this. She babbled out all that had happened in six months, coming finally to what had happened with the demons that followed the Dark Mage and Xander’s injuries and then his return, the confrontation with the demon that had taken him the second time and then his arrival with no memory.


Through it all Xander listened quietly, not speaking, when she finished Xander cocked his head to the side and sighed. “So basically things have been bad for the last few weeks, I have no memory of that, there is a psycho on the hellmouth, and a Goddess decided that I should mate to an Immortal. Am I right?” he asked quietly.


“Yeah,” Buffy and Willow said in unison.


“Okay, so pizza, I’m starving.” Xander said smiling sweetly.


“I’m up for pizza.” Buffy announced.


“Sounds good to me,” Willow chirped, grinning in relief at Xander’s reaction to the news, Xander was never one to be predictable and sometimes that could be scary.


Harry looked at his friends and then back over to the group, “Do you mind if we join you. My husband Ron has never had pizza and the three of us have never been in the states before.”


Xander looked horrified and quickly hurried across the room grabbing Ron by the arm and dragging him towards the door. “Hurry, we must fix this horror! How have you lived without pizza?” Xander asked his eyes twinkling with mischief.


Willow and Jesse snickered, while Buffy giggled happy to see her Xander back to who he was supposed to be. It had shattered her to see him so wounded and lost.


The rest of the group looked at one another a little lost; they had not expected such a reaction to what had happened to Xander. However, what they didn’t know was that Xander would deal with all of the revelations in his own time and his own way. Preferably, where no one who knew him could see, this did not include his parents however; he knew that they would help him.


“So, can we go with ya pretty?” Faith asked with a wicked grin. Xander blinked and her and then slowly smiled. Willow and Jesse whimpered that look did not bode well.


“Do you like pranks?” Xander asked conversationally.


“Damn straight,” Faith said with a grin.


“Cool, so pizza?” he asked her sweetly.


Giles chuckled and shook his head; it seemed that Xander had decided to adopt another slayer. Giles was not surprised when Xander turned a gentle smile on Kendra and asked her to join them.


Slowly, as one the group of different individuals left the ward and headed towards the Mansion and the pizza party they would have there. It would give them all a chance to find out about one another and a chance to figure out just what or who Glorificus was.


While they were heading towards the Mansion Lucius Malfoy was dealing with Glory and her minions. The Hell Goddess was not as strong as Lucius with all of his combined dark rites and pilfered magicks. He would not stand for some lower being interfering for his plans for the Hellmouth and for the boy he had allowed to escape.


Lucius attacked the Goddesses minions burning them out of existence before lobbing one attack after another after the goddess. When he had weakened her, he used his draining spell to steal her power, starting in surprise when a young muggle male took her place. With a sneer, Lucius severed the man’s head from his shoulders, effectively killing both the Goddess and her prison.


Lucius chuckled darkly and hummed quietly to himself, imagining the pleasure and power he would gain once he had taken his pretty boy once again. Perhaps he would even bond the lad to him in a way he had not with his faithless wife. After all, Lucius Malfoy deserved only the best.
