WARNING: Violence, Torture
Once Xander calmed down, the vampires escorted him down to the lobby and Angel’s office. Moments later, a minion entered with a tray of food for Xander and cups of blood for the two vampires. Xander realized he was ravenously hungry and dug into the meal.
Angel and Spike watched Xander devour the food and smiled at his enthusiasm. The whelp never did anything by halves. They each sipped at their blood and sat quietly until the man was finished.
Xander looked up from the now empty tray with an embarrassed grin. “I guess I didn’t realize just how hungry I was.”
Angel chuckled. Spike took the moment to respond. “Well pet, you probably haven’t eaten in a good 24 hours. I’m surprised you weren’t screaming at us to get you some food.”
Xander glanced between the two vampires and shrugged. “Didn’t really feel hungry when I was with you.”
Spike felt himself grow hard at the whispered confession. What was it about this man that could send him into immediate arousal? A quick glance at his Sire confirmed that Angel was in the same condition.
Spike set his cup down on the desk and moved to Xander’s side. “Don’t you worry Xan. My Sire and I will make sure you have everything you need.”
Xander leaned into Spike and accepted the comfort he was being offered. He was puzzled over his easy acceptance of the two vampires. He knew something inside of him was shifting and his feelings for the two were no longer that of mere acquaintances or sometimes fighting partners.
Xander looked up at Angel. “I’ll need to call Giles and let him know I missed my flight. He can rebook on their end and let me know when I can get back home.” Xander flinched at the growl that came from Angel at his words.
Angel couldn’t hold the growl back at the thought of Xander leaving. The boy was his now and wasn’t going anywhere. Spike realized that Angel was struggling to maintain control and stepped in to cover for his Sire.
“No need to rush off pet. We kind of like having you around. You can stay a bit and check out the new operation we’ve got running here.” Angel nodded his approval at Xander and was quick to reinforce his childe’s words. “We’ll let Giles know that we could use your help here. I’m sure I can get him to agree to let you stay.”
Xander was puzzled by the vampires’ insistence that he stay. He figured they would be in a rush to get rid of him. After all, trouble seemed to follow him around like no one else. And being surrounded by all the demons working for Angel probably wasn’t best for his health.
Not that he really doubted Angel. He knew that the vampire could control anyone working for him. But it was a risk. A risk that, after Xander’s recent experience, he wasn’t willing to take again.
So he slipped on his zeppo grin and answered their offer. “Thanks guys. You guys have been great. But I should get back. I have responsibilities there that I can’t just abandon. I’ll just give Giles a quick call and will be out of your hair in no time.”
Angel struggled to control his temper. He knew that he couldn’t force Xander to stay. He hoped that Xander would feel the same connection that he and Spike did and would want to stay.
He watched Xander pick up the phone and make arrangements with Giles. He glossed over the reason for his missed flight, stating that he bumped into Angel and Spike and helped them with a nest of demons.
Spike raised his brow at Xander’s omission and again felt that the former scoobies were not looking after the whelp like they should. He looked over the man, watched how Angel’s pajamas moved over Xander’s body when he moved and wanted to touch him again and make him want to stay.
Angel was thinking similar thoughts. Looking at the body he had caressed earlier now covered in his clothes, Angel’s mind continued to claim the man as his own. His scowl deepened and when Xander caught his gaze and flinched at the look, Angel fought to get his emotions under control.
“I don’t want you to leave Xander but I understand that you have obligations. I’ll send someone out to pick up some clothing for you. Spike will keep you company until your flight.” With those words, Angel rose and left the room.
Spike watched the confusion on Xander’s face and struggled to maintain his own composure. He knew his Sire wouldn’t force the whelp to stay. Spike wanted to handcuff him to the bed until he begged them to let him stay forever.
But he just moved to Xander’s side and draped an arm around the man’s shoulder. “Let’s have a look around. Peaches has quite the set up these days.”
While Spike gave Xander the grand tour, Angel returned his attention to the vampire master and minions they were holding in the basement. They were all chained to the wall and whipped on back, ass and thighs. Just as Xander had been. The thought brought Angel’s fury back to the surface. His Xander, leaving, was unacceptable. And these vampires played a role in his injury.s
He turned to the minion watching over the prisoners. “They aren’t finished.” At his words the minion rose. “Yes, Master. We were waiting for you before we moved to the final phase of their punishment.”
“Good.” Angel’s eyes took on a gleam and the edge’s turned to yellow. He knew just how he would take out his frustrations. He released the firm hold he kept on Angelus and let his demon take over.
Spike carefully avoided the basement as part of Xander’s tour but showed him the rest of the hotel and their operation. Xander was particularly impressed with Angel’s new car collection. He practically drooled when they moved to the roof and Spike showed off the helicopter parked there.
When his vampire hearing picked up the sounds of anguished screams coming from the basement, Spike decided to take Xander on a quick helicopter jaunt. No need to frighten his pet while his Sire worked out his frustrations.
A quick signal to the guard on the roof and the pilot came scurrying out onto the roof. Spike instructed him to give them a quick tour around the city and loaded Xander onto the machine.
Xander was babbling excitedly when they returned. Spike listened carefully for the sounds coming from the lower level but all was quiet. He ushered Xander back inside and towards his and Angel’s room.
His Sire was waiting for them there, new clothes stacked neatly on the edge of the bed. Angel stood when they entered. “I’m sorry Xander. I didn’t mean to upset you. I just really wanted you to stay. With us. I understand that you can’t however so I’ll leave you to get ready now. You’ll need to get to the airport in an hour.”
Spike watched as Angel moved to Xander’s side and wrapped the man in an awkward hug. Xander latched onto Angel and returned the embrace fiercely. As they parted, Xander picked up the clothes from the bed and moved towards the bathroom.
He moved to his Sire’s side and listened to the sounds the man made in the bathroom. Pulling Angel to him, he tucked his head under his Sire’s neck and tried to let him know that he was still wanted and needed. He would always have Spike.
They separated when Xander exited the bathroom and they walked him downstairs to the waiting car.
Spike pretended not to notice the moisture gathering in his Sire’s eyes as the vehicle drove away.
