Home sweet home
Sasha led Skye through the corridors leading out of the Underworld, stopping every few moments to turn and make sure that the wolf was still behind her, she was.
Wincing when she saw the approaching brightness of the portal that entered the human realm she turned and held out her hand. When Skye took it Sasha smiled.
“Okay I need you to think of home. Anything…just something.” Skye said encouragingly.
Skye nodded and closed her eyes, picturing the school, her parents, brothers and Ryan. Inhaling sharply when she felt a wave of dizziness overtake her.
Swaying on her feet she opened her eyes, widening in shock at the vision before her. Something wasn’t right. Looking around she saw Sasha was in the same state as she was. Taking in the tall ruins surrounding her she tried to figure out where they were. The seemed to be on some sort of street, vegetation and overgrowth dominated every open space, freezing when she looked off in the distance and saw a lone elephant grazing.
“Sasha where are we?” Skye asked nervously, looking over at the blue skinned demon she froze when she saw something eerily familiar about the building they were in front of.
“I think were in New York.” Sasha said disbelieving. Looking to the horizon she was confused when she didn’t see the Empire state building.
“I think were in Times Square.” Skye said softly. Bending down she picked up a yellowed piece of paper, turning it over she barely made out the faded letters. ‘Declaration of Evacuation’
“What happened here?” Sasha asked as she walked to an abandoned car and broke the window out.
“I don’t know…does it still run?” Skye asked stepping towards the car.
“Were about to find out.” Sasha said quietly, holding her hand over the dash, a moment later the engine roared to life and she waited for the wolf to climb in the passenger side.
“Home sweet home here we come.” Skye said quietly. Curiously eyeing what looked like faded claw marks on the dust laden dashboard.

Buffy groaned, rolling over she looked over at Lonnie who lay snoring on her side facing away from her. Smiling at the sight Buffy stood and went to her dresser, pulling out a pair of handmade leather pants and pulled them on and found a form fitting leather top. Smiling at the feel she had to admit, even though she was a California girl at heart there was something to be said about the Native American style clothes she and her daughter had made.
The clothes were simple, the leather a pale tan color and they breathed better than her other clothes. In all honesty she had to admit she was seeing less and less of jeans and woven clothes and more and more leather around the campus.
Even Dawn was wearing these types of clothes. Smiling at the memory of the first time she had taught Dawn how to scrape and dry skins for clothing.
Turning she felt her smile waver when the sheet fell away from her mate and she saw fresh scars adorning her lovers back. Even if Lonnie was more gifted in hunting and training than the average human…she was still human. And every once in awhile a demon would get lucky and get a good hit in on the redhead.
Fastening the shirt and walked out of her room and headed down the stairs, smiling when Todd scrambled to his feet and clumsily made his way over to her before licking her hand in greeting.
“Good morning boy, you wanna treat?” Buffy asked in an overly chipper voice. Smiling when the Great Dane jumped and paced happily.
Reaching into a cupboard she pulled out a strip of jerky and waited for the dog to sit before giving it to him.
“Mom…can I go on scouts with David and Jesse?” Jaeger asked, walking into the room, followed closely by Axel.
“Yes but be back by lunch.” Buffy said before grabbing her sons arm and dragging him to the sink. Scouting was patrol for children pretty much, all they did was scout out the grounds and search for signs of penetration or demons.
Brushing Axels unruly waves out of his eyes she examined the boys hands. “Don’t you think its time to clean them?” She asked in her best mother knows best voice.
“No theys clean…see” Axel said holding out his hands palms up, Buffy smiled at the earnest expression on his face as she took in the sap and dirt smudged palms.
“Go wash them before you eat young man” She said, setting him down on the ground and watching him grumble as he walked off to the well outside.

Ryan struggled against the small compact frame of her son, growling whenever he thwarted her attempts to dress him. Looking up she saw Tayrn sitting patiently on the bed waiting her for to finally just get the clothes on her brother.
“Dammit Adrian hold still” Ryan snapped, wanting to whoop in victory when she managed to maneuver his arms through the sleeves.
Wrapping an arm around his waist she held him semi immobile against her as she tried to wrestle shorts onto him.

A/N: I know this is REALLY short but im really busy lately, college, work and my girlfriend is on leave but I will post something whenever I get the chance.
