Chapter 9 part 2
A.N. *ducks from flying fruit* Im sorry, so sorry I have disappeared for so long but my muse decided to go on strike. She's slowly coming back to work sending pieces of chapters my way. Anyway this chapter is dedicated to Daeomae! Thank you for your continued reviews even when I only post small parts of chapters!
And the story continues:
“So I see you found the demons your looking for,” Spike said from the table as Xander entered the room.
He had just left to get something to eat and was a little shocked by Spikes comment, “Why do you say that?”
Spike frowned a little, “Because you have the bleeding book open to them.”
“I do?! Let me see that!” Xander said in excitement.
Xander rushed over to Spikes side, grabbing the book. Looking at the description, his excitement increased, “These really are the ones I’m looking for!”
In his excitement Xander planted a victory kiss on Spikes lips before he hurried away to send the information to Willow via Cordy’s computer. Spike looked after his mate and gave a goofy grin to his mates retreating back. That had been the first kiss his Xan-pet had started but he was going to make sure it wasn’t the last.
Following his excited mate to the computer, he totally ignored the glaring Cordeala. This happened to be a mistake because as he got closer to Xander, Cordy pushed him from behind. Surprised by the sudden push, Spike fell forward and accidentally stepped on Xander’s foot. It was only habit that had him clutching his head, waiting for the pain, but the pain never came. Both humans were watching him when he looked up.
“You Bitch!” Spike yelled, “You caused me to hurt my Xan-pet!”
“Don’t you dare call me a bitch, you color blind freak! If I hadn’t been forbidden to stake you, you so would be ash by now, and Xanders not yours!” Cordy yelled back.
Xander just shook his head and continued to write his email to Willow. By the time he had typed up all the important information and had sent it, Spike and Cordy were done yelling and Spike was watching him with a thoughtful look.
“Why are you looking at me like that? What are you planning?” Xander asked paranoid.
“Just admiring the view is all, pet.” Spike said sidestepping the second question.
“Uh huh, what ever. Im gonna go find Fred to thank her, since Im pretty sure she is the one who found the baddies for me.”
“You do that pet,” Spike said distractedly since he was thinking how the chip didn’t fire when he had stepped on Xander’s foot. But it only took a moment for Xander’s words to seep in. “Who the bloody Hell is Fred!”
A.N. The next chapter will hopefully be much longer since its gonna be the final one for this part of the Spelled Mate series.
