The Forgotten Lovers

Outside we waited for someone to say something about what just happened. Ashley: Alright, what is going on? Yelsine: I believe that was a solider and he was trying to dance with Danni. I looked at Ashley and she hit him upside the head. Yelsine: Ow! I glanced at Drusilla to see her smile softly at me in understanding. Danielle: Thanks Ash. Ashley: No problem. Danielle: What do we do now? Because the last time I was here there was no government agency killing the undead? Buffy looked at me as Giles wrapped his arms around her giving her silent comfort.
Buffy: Riley was a member of the Initiative. We met during my freshman year at UC Sunnydale. Xander: We guess they have been around since our senior year and for some reason they don’t trust Buffy. Buffy: We don’t have much time left. Ashley: What are you talking about? That’s when Xander noticed a group of guys coming toward us. Xander: Um, commandos. Drusilla: Move into the alleyway that way they can’t see us. We moved further into the alleyway and waited as they walked into the club. Willow: What do we do now?
Angelus: We should find a place to hide the girls. I looked up at him at little taken back by what he said. Danielle: Why do I need to hide? Giles: I think the mansion would be big enough for all of us. Buffy: No way am I going to hide out at Angelus’s place. Willow: Buffy it’s the best bet seeing Riley can find out where we live. Danielle: So we get clothes and all have a slumber party at the mansion while these soldier guys check the town for us. Great idea that right up there with duck and cover…come on there is like five of them vs. what 12 of us. Giles shot me his “shut up and listen for once” look.
I pouted at him and wrapped my arms around Angelus’s waist allowing my head to rest on his chest as he played with my hair. Giles: We’ll go home get what you can and meet back at the mansion before sunrise. Xander, you and Willow go back to your place to get what you need. Willow: What about Cordelia and Oz, shouldn’t we tell them? Buffy: I’ll give them a call and tell them what is going on. Angelus, go back to the mansion get enough rooms ready for three couples. Danielle: And I’ll go with him. Spike: Pet, I think you should go with your mates to get somethings. I frowned at him.
Angelus: No, Drusilla will go. I’m going with…Yelsin: I’ll keep her safe. He looked at him and frowned as I buried my head in his chest. Ashley: They’ll think it’s weird that we came with Yelsin and didn’t leave with him. We’ll go back to the house leave a note for Joyce, get what we can and meet you at the mansion. Angelus: I don’t like this. I looked up at him before gently kissing him. Danielle: I don’t like it either but they’re right. If we’re not there in two hours come looking for us. I kissed him again before leaving with Ashley and Yelsin leaving them in the alleyway.
We walked into the house and went straight to our rooms. I pulled out all of my suitcases from my closet and under my bed. I grabbed everything from my closet and pilled it into my bags before moving onto my dresser and shopping bags. After filling about three bags I threw open my trunk and filled that with some weapons and the shoes I wear most often…a pair of tennis shoes, my brown boots and few pairs of sandals. I looked around my room and picked up anything of value before changing into black sweat pants, a white muscle tank and pulling my black boots back on. I picked up my bags and took them down stairs. I went back to grab my trunk when everything went black.
Danielle: Yelsin, Ashley. I walked into the hallway in pitch black. Danielle: Where are you? They walked out of their rooms and into me. Ashley: Who turned off the lights? Danielle: Thanks Ashley I needed you to walk into my face. Ashley: Sorry. Yelsin: I think we should get out of here? Danielle: I so agree but…I need help moving my trunk. Ashley: Why? Danielle: Weapons and hello my shoes like I would ever go somewhere without my shoes. Yelsin rolled his eyes and pushed us toward the stairs. Yelsin: I’ll get it. All of my stuff is downstairs or in the car already. You two get the car loaded so we can leave once I get it. We nodded and went downstairs as he asked. Yelsin: It always about the shoes.
I opened the front door carrying my things as Ashley talked to me carrying hers. Ashley: Have you written that note to your Aunt? I seat my bags down and opened the back of Yelsin’s Hummer; I picked them up and started to put them in the trunk with Ashley’s help. Danielle: Yeah I left it on the fridge hopeful she’ll find it there. Ashley nodded as she put the last of her things into the car. Ashley: I’ll get the rest of Yelsin’s bags. She ran inside. Danielle: Hurry because I want to get far away from here before Angelus shows up because we’re running late. I was about to follow her inside when something hit me from behind.
I stumbled forward a bit and feel to the ground…I turned over as I looked up to find Riley Finn looking down at me with a smug look on his face. Riley: Thought I wouldn’t find you? Danielle: No, I was just hoping that it would take you a bit longer. I watched as he glanced around and didn’t find what he was looking for. Riley: Where’s your boyfriend? Killing someone? Danielle: I don’t need him to protect me but he sure does do it well wouldn’t you agree. Before I could make a run for it he reached down and pulled me to my feet by the front of my shirt. I looked at him before smirking at him. Danielle: But if he was here I think he would do something like this. I landed a right hook to his face knocking him to the ground. Danielle: See even I’m better then you. Ashley: Danielle! Danielle: Ashley. I looked back at Riley. Danielle: Got a go.
With that I ran toward the house not carrying if he was still on the ground or not. Danielle: Please let her still be alive I so don’t need Spike killing me because something happened to her. I ran toward the door hoping that I got there in time unaware that Riley had gotten up from the ground. Riley: You’re not getting away from me. He grabbed my arm but I threw him off and gave him a round house kick to the stomach. I grabbed the door and threw it open just as he got up and before he could get to me I slammed the door on his face. Danielle: I think I just did.
Danielle: Ashley where are…I walked into the living room to find the two guys from the Bronze holding them at gun point. Danielle: What the hell is going on? They didn’t look at me as I moved further into the room. Danielle: Leave them alone! They turned and looked at me as I stood in the doorway. Riley walked up behind me, wrapped his arms around my waist and laid his head on my shoulder. Riley: I got you. I struggled against him as he moved me further into the room. Danielle: Somehow I was thinking you would still be passed out. My struggling continued as a middle age women walked into the room from the kitchen. Maggie: Miss Summers I was hopping you would still be home. I believe we need to talk.
She had a seat on the couch as I pushed myself away from Riley. Danielle: Have a seat, do you want some coffee? She frowned at me as I placed my hands on my hips. Danielle: Fine we’ll skip the coffee. Can you tell your people to let my friends go? Maggie glanced at my friends and back at me. Maggie: I think they’re better where they are. Danielle: You know violence is not the way to get me to talk. Maggie: Why don’t we get to know each other? I crossed my arms as I looked at her.
Danielle: Fine. Who are you and what do you want? Because right now I’m thinking I’ll kill you and we’ll leave. She smiled at me as Forest and Graham raised their guns to my friend’s heads. Maggie: I don’t think so. I lowered my arms and looked at her as Riley pulled me closer to him. Danielle: What do you want with me? She smiled as the guns were lowered a bit as I met her eyes in submission.
Maggie: I’m Professor Walsh. Are you responsible for the damage done to my men? I smirked to myself as I moved away from Riley as I looked at him. Danielle: Just a little but between you and me I think you should teach them some manners. Cause personally when I see a girl with her guy I know better to leave them alone. She gave Riley a nod as she glanced at me. Walsh: Agent Finn, take her upstairs and get her to talk. I moved to hit him when I heard Yelsin yell out to me. Yelsin: You leave her alone you fuckin…I watched the black guy holding the gun him hit him in the head with it. Danielle: Yelsin! I moved to help him but Riley grabbed my arm. Maggie: Take her upstairs and get her to tell us where the Slayer is. With another nod he threw me over his shoulder and started to walk upstairs. Danielle: You’ll die for this! Walsh: I think not. As he walked upstairs with me on his shoulder I started to hit and kick him. Danielle: Let me go you stupid caveman. He just chuckled and continued on to my room.
She walked over to Ashley and Yelsin. Walsh: See what you can get out of them. I want to know everything about the vampires. They nodded and raised their guns. Graham: Tell us what we want to know and you’ll live. Ashley looked him up and down before smirking at him as she tried to get out of her bounds. Ashley: When Spike finds us he will so kill you for touching me. Yelsin looked at her with a raised eyebrow. Yelsin: Great idea Ashley, make the soldiers angry. Ashley: I thought it was kind of funny. Graham moved forward and pulled out a knife. Graham: Tell me what I want to know and you leave in one piece. Ashley: Hey? She looked at the soldier coming close to her. Ashley: You touch me and I will personally kill you. He raised an eyebrow and moved closer to her. Graham: I don’t think so.
Meanwhile Riley kicked open my bedroom door and threw me onto my bed. Danielle: Watch it mister or I will be forced to hurt you again. He smiled at me as he closed the door behind him. Riley: Let’s see how you can get out of this without your boyfriend to back you up. I watched him as he moved toward the bed. Danielle: You really don’t want to do this. When Angelus finds out he…Riley: Enlighten me. What will your vampire do to me? I sat up and smiled at him. Danielle: Kill you simple as that. See he has a problem when other people touch me. Plus I was suppose to meet him a few minutes ago so he should be here any minute. He sat down, took a hold of my right leg and pulled me toward him. Riley: Touched you. I frowned at him and tried to move away. Danielle: Let me go before I hurt you.
Riley: Why don’t I show you what a real man can do? His hands moved to my pants to undo them. Danielle: Why don’t I show you what I can do? I punched him in the face again. Danielle: Understand…good. I scooted toward the end of the bed only to be pulled back and slapped. My head hit the mattress and I saw stars. I touched my lip and realized I was bleeding from the blow. Riley: I don’t remember saying you could touch me. I looked up at him and shrunk into my spot as he loomed over me. Danielle: Leave me alone.
Riley: Now tell me what I want to know. His hands moved back to my pants and I kneed him between the legs. Danielle: Don’t touch me. I scooted off the bed and ran for the door only to be thrown against the wall before I could open the door. I touched my forehead and when I looked at my hand…I noticed blood on it. I closed me eyes as pain washed over me. When I opened them again I saw Riley coming toward me. Riley: You like it rough fine we’ll play your game. I pulled myself up as he moved closer and when he got within reach I smirked at him.
Danielle: To think that I thought you were just a normal guy instead I figure out that you get your ya-yas from beating and raping girls that want nothing to do with you. What hurt more, that Buffy said no or that she choose an older man over you. He backhanded me so hard that I hit the wall again. When I turned to face him I felt blood dripping from the cut on my cheek. Riley: I am a soldier and I want only what should be mine. If I can’t have Buffy then I’ll take the next best thing…her cousin. Isn’t that what Angelus did make you his whore? I looked at him as my smirk grew.
Danielle: I rather be Angelus’s whore then your girlfriend. Besides I think Buffy was right to choose Giles over you if this is how you treat a girl Agent Finn. He threw a right hook at me. I ducked and used his momentum to throw him into my closet. He hit the back wall and was knocked out as soon as he landed. I looked at him before leaving my room. Danielle: To think I almost felt sorry for you. I walked downstairs to find the living room overturned and Angelus holding a Commando by the throat. Angelus: Where is she? Danielle: Try right behind you.
He turned and found me leaning against the doorframe. Dropping the Commando he took me into his arms. Angelus: When you didn’t show up I went looking for you. Danielle: Thanks…can we leave? He noticed the bruises that were forming on my face, arms and the cuts on my forehead, lip and cheek as I looked at him with pleading eyes. Angelus: Who did this? I looked away from him not wanting him to see me in pain. Danielle: Can we talk about that later? I just want to go far away from here. Angelus: Sure. He picked me up and carried me outside, like he did last night. Angelus: But you’ll tell me what happened. No one gets away with hurting my girl. Danielle: I promise I’ll explain everything but right now I just want to sleep for like forever.
He opened the passenger door of Yelsin’s car and placed me inside. Angelus: You get some sleep. He kissed my forehead closed the door and walked around to his side. Danielle: What about…Spike: Hey pet. I turned to find Ashley asleep in Spike’s arms and Yelsin resting his head in Drusilla’s lap as the rest of our things sat in the back. Danielle: Are they alright? He nodded as Angelus got in and started the car. Spike: They were tortured a bit but passed out as we came in. Danielle: I’m sorry Spike I really tried to stop them. Spike: I know mum get some sleep. I turned back around as Angelus pulled away from the house.
I looked up to find him trying to hide his anger as he griped the steering wheel tighter. Danielle: Angelus? He turned and looked at me. Danielle: I love you. He touched my cheek and smiled at me. Angelus: I love you too lass. Get some sleep we’ll be home soon. I lay back as I drifted off to sleep. Danielle: I hate soldiers.
I woke up a few minutes later in the same room I meet Angelus. Danielle: Angelus? I heard nothing… that’s when I heard something coming from the hallway. I scooted to the edge of the bed and climbed off. I looked down and realized that Angelus must have removed my shoes and socks because I was standing barefoot on a cement floor. Danielle: Cold feet…I have to talk to him about buying rugs. I walked over to the door and opened it to find Ashley and Yelsin walking past. Danielle: Where are you two going?
They stopped and looked at me. Ashley: Toward the voices…want to come? Danielle: Alright. I closed the door behind me and walked down the hallway with them. Yelsin: What do you remember? Danielle: Riley took me upstairs, tried to rape me and when that didn’t work he hit me around. What about you? Yelsin: We pissed them off and they beat us. Ashley: Yelsin did this really cool kick move on one guy named Forest who was trying to…I stopped and hugged Ashley when I caught on. Danielle: I wish I could have helped or stopped him. Ashley: No big see still a virgin here. I smiled and stopped at a door. Yelsin: Shhhh listen.
Buffy: Did she say anything? Angelus: No. Drusilla: What I want to know is how they knew where to find your home Slayer? Buffy: I don’t know. She looked at her hands. Buffy: I mean I’m hardly there and when I am it’s always with the guys or Rupert. Spike: Some how those assholes knew! Yelsin and Ashley were barley fighting them off when we got there. And when Angelus didn’t see Danielle well I didn’t stick around to find out what he was goin’ to do.
Xander: They showed up at our apartment just before we got there. Willow nodded and held her cup closer to her. Cordelia: We where leaving Devon’s when they drove by. I don’t know how we got back to the hotel. Oz wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Oz: We’re alright. She nodded and rested her head on his shoulder while Giles paced the room as Angelus brooded by the fireplace.
I turned and looked at Ashley. Danielle: Maybe we should go? Yelsin: They should know that we’re alright. Ashley: You didn’t see the way Angelus reacted when we couldn’t find you Danielle. Danielle: Oh I think I saw enough. Aunt Joyce is going to have a field day when she gets back. Yelsin: Danielle you have to tell him. I looked at him and nodded. Danielle: Alright we should tell them we’re awake. Yelsin opened the door. They looked up and noticed that we were standing in the doorway as I waved at them. Danielle: Hi everyone.
I walked further into the room and was pulled into a hug by Giles. Giles: Are you three all right? Yelsin: Yeah just a little bruised. Ashley: What about you guys are you alright? One by one gave each of us a hug. Xander: No damage here. Danielle: That’s good. I let go of Xander and took a seat. Willow: Want something to drink? I looked up and noticed that Willow was fidgety even more then usual. Danielle: In a minute maybe. I have to tell you guys something first. Buffy sat down beside me and took my hand. Buffy: What is it? Danielle: Riley…he…tried to rape me. Crash!
I looked up and noticed that a piece of the fireplace was missing. Danielle: Angelus? He looked at me and walked away. Danielle: Angelus?! I moved to follow him but Giles blocked my path. Giles: Let him go. Danielle: But…god I hate this. Giles pulled me close as I cried. Danielle: I need him to hold me to make this feeling of hopelessness go away. Giles: Give him some time to process everything. I nodded against his chest as the others talked.
Cordelia: What happened? Yelsin: We just finished packing when the lights went out. I told the girls to load the car as I got the last of the stuff. The next thing I remember is watching Riley take Danielle upstairs as a middle age women told some guys to do whatever they could to make us talk about Dru, Spike and Angelus.
Buffy: Danielle what happened? I looked up and wiped away some tears. Danielle: Riley hit me in the back of the head. We talked and before he could move I hit him. I ran inside and found Ashley and Yelsin at gun point. Walsh walked in and started asking questions. She told Riley to take me upstairs to see what he could get out of me. Giles: Maybe you should sit down while I find Angelus. I sat down beside Buffy as he left the room.
Willow: Danni what happened after Maggie talked to him. Danielle: He threw me over his shoulder and took me upstairs. He threw me on the bed and tried to rape me. I fought him and he threw me around for it. I kneed him in the balls and tired to run for the door. He threw me against the wall and tried again. I threw him into the closet and left. When I got downstairs Angelus was beating the crap out of a couple of Commandos. I looked at Spike.
Danielle: Can I have some tea? He nodded and left the room as Buffy pulled me into a hug. Buffy: I’m sorry. Danielle: I’m just a little shaken up. I wish Angelus was here. Willow sat down and stroked my hair as Xander paced around the room. Xander: You would think he would stop after what you did to him Buffy when he…. I looked at him and at Buffy. Danielle: What did he do?
Buffy: I was patrolling a few nights ago with Giles and Riley sneaked up on me. He pushed my up against a mausoleum and tried to rape me but Giles stopped him. Danielle: That’s why he hates Giles. He thought he took you away from him. Why didn’t you tell me? Buffy: I was afraid of what you might think of me? I gave her a hug. Danielle: I love you and this just proves my idea that Riley has to pay… with his life or the lose of his dick…think you can get rid of it Willow? She just smiled at me. Willow: I wish I could but Xander won’t let me said that he was afraid that I might do it to him. I sighed and just sat there. Danielle: Damn.
Angelus sat in his library looking out the windows. Giles: Angelus? He looked up as Giles walked in. Angelus: Hey Giles. Giles: Angelus what’s wrong? He looked out the window. Angelus: Have you ever wanted to kill someone so much that you simple killing them was too easy. Giles: That pillock Riley. Angelus turned and looked at him. Angelus: I see you had a run in with him to. Giles: Oh yes. A few nights ago Buffy and I where patrolling when that pillock showed up and tried to rape her. I would have killed him if Buffy didn’t stop me. Angelus: I didn’t know. He walked in and sat down on one of the couches. Giles: We didn’t want anyone to know. I felt the same way I imagine you feel right now. But I remind myself that Buffy loves me and when that doesn’t help she reminds me.
Angelus: I love Danielle but when I think about what that boy could have done I just want…he rammed his fist through the window and broke the glass. Giles stood and walked over to him. Giles: Danielle needs you right now. If you want to come with me I’m going to check on her. He touched his shoulder and then left. Angelus watched him before looking down at his bleeding hand. Angelus: That boy will pay for what he has done to my family. With that he walked away leaving a blood trail after him.
Spike walked in and handed me a cup of tea. Danielle: Thanks. He smiled and sat down beside Ashley. Willow: So, what do we do now? I looked up at her in fear. Xander: I think we should stay here until we figure out what’s up with the Initiative. Cordelia frowned at him. Cordelia: What do we have to do with it? I mean they seem to only be after you six. Why don’t we make a trade? I looked up at her from my tea. Danielle: Thanks Cordy. Just make Angelus even madder as you trade me for protection. Yelsin: Besides they want all of us. Cordelia: It was just a thought. Willow: What about the wedding? I looked up in shock. Danielle: Oh my god Buffy I’m so sorry I completely for…Angelus: We’ll have the wedding here.
Danielle: Angelus? He walked over to where I was sitting and kissed my forehead causing me to relax. Angelus: I’m sorry for leaving. I stood up and watched him as he stood before me. Danielle: It’s alright. I wrapped my arms around him as he held me against his chest. Danielle: Just don’t do that again. I looked up at him as he touched my cheek before smiling at me. Angelus: I promise. I smiled and noticed that his hand was bleeding. Danielle: What happened? Angelus looked at his hand and sighed. Angelus: I got mad at the window in my study. Danielle: I’m sorry. I moved to kiss him when Oz spoke up.
Oz: What about the minions? We looked at him. Spike: They don’t live here. Willow: I think Oz means do we have to worry about them coming and snaking on us during the day? Drusilla: No. We all looked at her. Drusilla: The minions that live in the Mansion will not harm you; the ones that spoke harsh to you three were disposed of. The others come and go as they please. Danielle: Buffy, we can still work on the wedding while we figure out what’s going on. Buffy: I know. We should talk to Willie. I yawned against Angelus’s chest catching everyone off guard. Danielle: Sorry…I guess I’m just tried. Giles: I think we should turn in for the night. Angelus: Anna, Yes, Diana.
Three vampires walked in and bowed. Yes: What is you wish Master Angelus? Angelus: Danielle’s family and friends will be spending some time with us. They are not to be harmed in any way. Unless you want to be on the end of the Slayer’s stake. The nodded in understanding and waited. Angelus: I believe their things have been taken to their rooms, yes? They nodded. Angelus: Good. Yes, would you show Cordelia and Oz to their room in the East hallway? Yes: Of course.
Angelus: Diana can you show Buffy and Giles to their room in the North Hallway as Annabelle shows Xander and Willow to their room in the South Hallway. I looked at them. Danielle: These people are my family if I hear anything goes wrong I will personally push you into direct sunlight do you understand me. Diana: Yes mistress. They bowed again and waited. Giles: I think it would be for the best that we continue this in the morning after we all have had a goodnight sleep. They stood and left.
I followed Angelus to our room. Danielle: Angelus? He stopped and looked at me. Angelus: Yeah? Danielle: I fought him off. I want nothing to do with him. His took me into his arms. Angelus: I trust you. I wrapped my arms around him. Danielle: Why do I get the feeling that you don’t want to touch me? He lifted my chin forcing me to look at him. Angelus: More then anything I want to make you forget him touching you and the next time I see him I will personally kill him for you. Danielle: I love you. He kissed me. Angelus: I love you to. Come on lets get to bed. He took my hand and pulled me away.
Danielle: Angelus? He stopped and looked at me. Danielle: Can you make me forget what he did to me? He gently stroked my cheek as he smiled at me. Angelus: Whatever you want me to do, I will do it. I held onto his arm as I followed him back to our room. Danielle: What would I do without you? He stopped and watched me walk down the hallway. Danielle: Are you coming Angelus I’m not getting any younger? He shook his before moving forward and picked me up as I giggled to myself. Danielle: What are you doing? Angelus: Making my princess happy. I kissed him as he opened the door and walked inside.
