"I need you to set down and talk to your father!" Angel gushed out quickly right before going to bed.
"No!" said Spike.
"Please Spike. He has information that he could use to hurt someone I love if you don't talk to him." Angel begged.
"He knows about Connor?" Spike asked
"How do you know about....? Right, Illyria got Fred's memories back. I had hoped she would keep her mouth shut." said Angel
"She will. She just told me. We were friends of a sort I guess." said Spike "How does my father know about Connor?"
"I don't know. Maybe you can find out if you talk to him?" suggested Angel.
"Alright. But you owe me one." said Spike
"I know." said Angel.
"Right. Go set up a meeting for tomorrow. I am getting ready for bed." said Spike.
Spike watched as Angel left to talk to his Da. He had no intention of forgiving his Da, but he was willing to pretend so he could worm information out of him. Had to do what he could to protect Connor. It would break Angel if anything happened to his son. And he loved Angel to much to let that happen.
"Oh Damn! Not Angel! Stupid, stupid, stupid. He hates you." Spike groaned to himself. You will not pursue another impossible, one sided relationship. Why can't you ever fall for someone who at least likes you.
As Spike continued to berate himself for another fifteen minutes, he realized that he had to sleep next to Angel. I’ll pick a fight and sleep on the floor. Maybe he won't notice my boner.
"I set up the meeting for tomorrow evening at eight in the library." Angel said as he walked back through the door.
"Course you did. Feel free to use me however you want. You’re good at that." Spike attacked Angel.
"Listen, you don't have to forgive him, just hear him out. I can’t take the chance that he would do something to hurt Connor." said Angel.
"You don't want me to just listen to him; you want me to get close to him to find out information. Do you also want me to call him Da as well? Maybe I should cry and forgive him for abandoning me the way you abandoned your son." Spike said viscously.
"You don't know anything about Connor and me! Giving him up was the hardest thing I have ever done. God, no wonder your father left you, you are such a asshole." said Angel furiously.
"Sod off, you son of a bitch! I am sleeping on the floor." Spike yelled hurt by the comment despite having started it.
"Fine, but if anyone asks we still love each other." Angel ground out as he got in bed.
