“Mine” He growled against her throat as he licked her wounds clean.
Spike pulled back suddenly realizing his chest was burning. He looked down and saw a cross-shaped burn embedded in his chest. Spike looked down at Buffy and saw the cros had had given her laying just between the tops of her breasts.
Spike looked into her hazel depths. “Don’t you *EVER* lie to me again! Got it?” She asked. Spike nodded his head and pulled her into a tight hug
“Did you mean it Buffy?” Spike asked showing Buffy his vulnerability.
Buffy looked deep into his amazing cerulean blue eyes. “Spike…I love you. I do…I was confused before. Being the slayer makes me…question things. Since I’ve been called I have been taught that Vampires were evil soulless creatures. Hell most of them are.” She said shrugging
Spike looked down at his hands “Buffy…I…”
“I’m not finished Spike. I see that you are …different …I don’t know why and I don’t care. All I do know is that when I’m with you I feel complete. I feel whole. Being with you…I can be me. I can be… a woman and the Slayer.”
Buffy leaned in and kissed him. Spike opened his mouth and allowed her tongue access.
Spike pulled away allowing Buffy to breathe. “Buffy…I am a monster…”
Buffy shook her head “No…you’re not Spike.”
“Yes. I am. You allow me to be a man. I promise you I will never disappoint you.” Spike said passionately.
“I know Spike. I believe in you.” Buffy said softly.

“Yes! YES! Shake, Earth! This is a siWe aWe are in the final days! My time has come! Glory! GLORY!” He shouted raising his arms above his head in victory. “Whadaya think? 5.1?” The Master asked putting his arm around his favored grand-chlide.
“I donno? Maybe it’ll be strong enough to get that girl quaking in her boots.”
“She’s a newly called slayer…and she’s so tiny. I don’t understand how …Darla was staked by her…Your mate, your Sire Angelus was killed by the Slayer…you should have killed her.” The master said softly.
“Oh I will. Make no mistake about that. Our plan is working perfectly.” Angelus said scowling. “Once she is dead my childe will have no choice, he will return.” Angelus said grinning evilly.

“Ho korias phanaytie toutay... tay nuktee.he Mhe Master shall rise...' Yes, yes, this is it!” Giles said excitedly. “'The Master shall rise, and the Slayer shall perish unless she finds...' My God!” Giles whispered reading the passage again.
“Morning! Wow. The damage looks fairly structural. Are we safe in here?” Buffy asked indicating the various debris spread around the library.
“Buffy!” Giles said startled. He stared intently at her. ~ How do I tell her? Oh by the way Buffy, I just found a prophecy that says in order for you to live you must – no God I can’t even think it. ~
“What? Do I have something on my face?” Buffy asked uncomfortable with the way Giles was staring at her. ~ He can’t know. There’s NO way he could know. ~ She thought pulling her turtle neck up higher.
“No! Uh, and, and yes, we're, we're safe.” Giles said indicating the stacks. “Uh, but probably best not to go up there.”

“He’s just acting so weird Willow. I don’t know what else to say. He was just staring at me like…like he saw a ghost or something.” Buffy shrugged.
“Are you gonna go talk to him after school?” Willow asked.
“Nope I’ve got plans…” Buffy said blushing slightly.
“What kind of plans?” Willow asked raising her eyebrows. ~ Bleached blond sexy stranger plans? ~ She wondered.
“I …met someone…I promised I’d go see him right after school.” Buffy blushed.
“Is it that same guy from the Bronze? The guy who saved Cordy?” Willow asked “Are you gonna bring him to the Spring Fling tomorrow night?” She asked her eyebrows shooting up
“Yeah…that’s him.” A big grin spread over Buffy’s face. “It’s still so new though Will…I …”
“Not ready?” Willow asked understanding.
“Yeah.” Buffy said relieved. “I haven’t asked him or anything…I kinda forgot about the stupid dance with everything that’s been going on lately.” Buffy sighed.
“K’ well I’ll go see Giles after school and see why he’s all wiggy.” Willow said giggling.

“You know, that outfit looks just like the one you wore yesterday. Only wrinklier. Were you here all night?” Jenny asked smoothing Giles’ wrinkled shirt over his shoulders.
“Sorry, uh... I'm not really up to, uh, socializing just now.” Giles said polishing his glasses.
“Something's going on, Rupert, and I'm guessing you already know what it is.” Jenny said sitting down at the table.
“What do you know?” Giles asked
“Well, I have been surfing the 'Net, looking for unexplained incidents. You know, people are always sending stuff my way. They know the occult's my turf. Now, here is the latest. A cat last week gave birth to a litter of snakes. A family was swimming in Whisper Lake when the lake suddenly began to boil. And Mercy Hospital last night, a boy was born with his eyes facing inward. I'm not stupid. This is apocalypse stuff. And throw in last night's earthquake, and I'd say we've got a problem. I would say the end is pretty seriously nigh.”
“I don't know if I can trust you.” He said looking into her eyes.
“I helped you cast that demon out of the Internet. I think that merits some trust. Look, I'm scared, okay? Oh, plus, I've got this, this crazy monk e-mailing me from Cortona about some Anointed One?”
“The Anointed One? He's dead!” Giles exclaimed.
“Someone's dead?” Jenny asked incredulously
“Uh, who is this monk?” Giles asked changing the subject.
“Uh, a brother Luca something? Keeps sending out global mailings about a prophecy.”
“I need you to talk to him, find out everything he knows.”
“Look, Rupert, you haven't told me jack, so what's with the order?”
“Just do it! I'll e-explain later.” Giles said shaking his head in frustration.
“You better.”

“It can't be. You've gotta be wrong.” Willow said softly, tears forming in her eyes. “God no wonder you’re all wiggy.
“I've checked it against all my other volumes. It's very real.” Giles sighed.
“Well, there's gotta be some way around it.” Willow begged.
“Listen. Some prophecies are, are a bit dodgy. They're, they're mutable. Buffy herself has, has thwarted them time and time again, but this is the Codex. There is nothing in it that does not come to pass.” Giles stated, slamming the book on the library table.
“Then you're reading it wrong.” Willow said certainly.
“I wish to God I were! But it's very plain! Tomorrow night Buffy will face the Master, and she will die.”
“Well, have you verified the text?” Willow asked grabbing the book and flipping to the correct page.

Buffy arrived home at 3:45. She entered the house and shut the door. She walked into the kitchen and poured herself some juice.
Buffy downed her juice in two quick gulps, and was headed for the stairs when a soft tap at the door made her pause. “Who is it?” She called
“It’s Mrs. Johnston…Your next door neighbor.” Said a friendly voice from the other side of the door.
Buffy opened the door and saw a slight woman of about 45, she had salt and pepper hair that she wore in a neat bun and she was holding a big white box.
“Sorry for dropping by unannounced but a delivery man tried to deliver this today and there was no one here so he asked if I could take it.” She said offering Buffy the package.
“What is it?” Buffy asked taking the box from the woman.
“I don’t know…but the delivery was paid for in advance, and it came from Paris.” Mrs. Johnston smiled at Buffy.
“Thank you very much.” Buffy said smiling at her neighbor.
