Chapter 11

The Future

"Yeah, you're not the one and only chosen anymore. Just gotta live like a person. How's that feel?" Faith asked

"Yeah, Buffy. What are we gonna do now?" Dawn asked.

As the others chattered around her, Buffy just stared straight into Spike's eyes. Contemplating the hole formerly known as Sunnydale. As she thought about what came next, she smiled.

“Buffy?” Angel questioned letting her into the hotel.

“Yeah…we made it…We uh…have nowhere else to go…Sunnydale kinda…disappeared.” Buffy said.

“You’re welcome to stay as long as you like.” Angel said compassionately.

“There’s quite a few of us…we haven’t decided what exactly we are gonna do yet…” Buffy said shrugging.

Buffy awoke to Spike lightly kissing her fingertips. “Morning Gorgeous.” Spike said looking into her eyes. “Brought you up some breakfast, so you could stay in bed as long as you liked.” He said with a grin.

“As long as I like or as long as you like?” She teased, running her fingers down Spike’s porcelain chest.

“Well if you’re offering…” He leered.

“I’m always offering Spike.” Buffy said leaning in to kiss him.

Spike broke the kiss. “I love you Buffy.”

“I love you too Spike.” She smiled at him.

“Breakfast time first ok? You’ll need lots of strength for what I have planned.” Spike said mysteriously. “Good thing these walls are sound proofed Luv.” Spike said placing the tray on the bed in front of Buffy.

She lifted the lid and saw the tiny red velvet box sitting where her breakfast was supposed to be, “Spike? What’s this?” Buffy asked picking up the box and turning it over in her hands.”

“Why don’t you open it Luv?” Spike asked with apprehension in his voice.

“Spike?” Buffy asked when she opened the box and discovered a beautiful engagement ring inside.

“Buffy I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life showing you how much…Will you marry me?” Spike asked with trepidation in his voice.

“Oh God Spike yes! Of course it’s yes.” She said jumping into his arms.
“Thank you Buffy.” Spike whispered.

“Spike I love you so much…I can’t believe this is happening, you make me so happy.” Buffy said tears of happiness rolling down her face. Buffy’s stomach growled suddenly and made them both laugh. “Guess you really do want the breakfast I brought up…” Spike said.

“Yeah…I am hungry.”

“Giles you have to promise to come back for the wedding!” Buffy begged “You are the one I want to give me away.”

“Of course I’ll come for that Buffy…I have a year and a half to get the new council organized, it should be more than enough time.”

“Ok, well call me when you get in ok?” Buffy said Giving Giles and the potentials that were leaving with him hugs and well wishes.

“Spike and I are going off to patrol…we’ll see you guys later ok?” Buffy said to the assembled group.

“Yeah Buffy.” Willow said absently not even looking up from her book.

“See you later.” Xander said from his perch on the couch beside Anya.

“Can I please go with you guys? It’s sooo boring here.” Andrew whined.

“You can stay with me, well get a game going.” Dawn said grabbing him by the arm and pulling him towards the stairs.

“I can’t believe not even one demon or vampire to kill tonight. I guess it’s much slower when there’s no hellmouth around.” Buffy said softly to Spike as they entered the hotel.

“Well Luv, maybe we could Spar? You know you need to keep your skills up cause I really can’t see you giving up patrolling.” Spike said.

“Yeah let’s go to our suite and do it there, we have more than enough room in there.” Buffy said happily.

Buffy punched him in the face, Spike grabbed her By the arm and flipped her onto her back, as he went to pounce Buffy kicked him and he went flying, righting himself he ran at her, Buffy sidestepped and kicked Spike in the stomach. Spike doubled over and came up swinging. He caught Buffy around the middle and threw her onto the couch. Buffy leapt off and went running towards the bedroom portion of the suite, ripping her clothing off as she went. When she reached the bed all she had left was her thing. Spike came up behind her and nuzzled into her neck sending shock waves of pleasure throughout her body.

“Spike…I want you now.” Buffy said grinding herself into him.

“Slayer…” Spike growled in a lustful voice, sending a pool of moisture between her thighs.

Buffy turned around and kissed Spike passionately.

Spike trailed his fingers down her back, lightly running his tongue over her jugular.
“God Buffy you taste like heaven.” Spike sighed against her skin.

“Spike…inside me…” Buffy panted to aroused to even make coherent sentences.

Spike slowly removed her thong and started on his jeans. As soon as he was freed from his pants Buffy had him in her hands, stroking his thick shaft, and cupping his sac with her other hand.

Spike pushed her gently on to the bed and flicked her nipple with his tongue.

“Spike” she hissed, her fingers threading through his hair. Spike inserted two fingers inside her to be sure she was ready for him.

“Ohhh Buffy so hot, so wet…love you.” Spike moaned.

Spike paused at her entrance to look into her eyes. “Please Spike.” She moaned arching into him. Spike thrust slowly into her. Buffy bucked wildly under him, she couldn’t get enough of him, inside her on top of her filling her up, licking her flesh, his piercing blue eyes boring into her hazel depths.

“I’m coming.” She moaned quickening her frenzied bucking. Spike quickened his pace. They both reached orgasm at the same instant and curled around each other to fall asleep.

Buffy was in the kitchen with Willow and Dawn having breakfast. They were finally going clothes shopping today.

Buffy took a bite of her toast and suddenly felt nauseous. She ran to the garbage and threw up inside.

“You ok Buffy?” Dawn asked concerned.

“Yeah, I’m fine I think the milk I had earlier may have been bad.” Buffy said going to the sink to wash out her mouth.

“Are you still up to shopping?” Willow asked

“Hell yeah…I need some new clothes and since we got all of that money from Giles and the new council…Let’s go shopping.” Buffy said excitedly.

Buffy was so tired, shopping was taking it’s toll on her. Willow and Dawn on the other hand were into serious shopping mode.

“Buffy, we have to stop at that new shoe place, I need some shoes too, three or four pairs should do.” Dawn said happily.

“Ok Dawn I …I need to sit for a few minutes. I’m kinda feeling yucky.” Buffy said as a wave of dizziness and nausea hit her. Buffy sat down on a bench and closed her eyes. She took a few deep breaths and didn’t notice the concerned look that passed between Willow and Dawn.

“Buffy, I’m gonna go the eatery and grab you a drink ok?” Dawn said not even bothering to wait for a reply. She was back in a couple of minutes and handed Buffy an apple juice.

“Thanks Dawnie, I’m just feelfeeling all that great.” Buffy said. “Maybe I’ll take a cab back to the hotel and meet you guys there.

Buffy walked into her room and lay down on the bed. She was exhausted. She awoke a few hours later when Spike crawled up the bed towards her. “Hey Spike. How was your day?” She asked smiling at him.

“Fine Luv a little concerned about you though, Will and Dawn told me how sick you’ve been.”

“I think I’m fine now. Must have been the milk going bad or something.” Buffy sighed

“Well Luv are you hungry?” Spike asked

“Yeah I am.” Buffy said slowly getting off the bed.

“Lets go get you something to eat.” Spike said putting his arm around Buffy and making their way downstairs.

“Oh…that doesn’t smell to good. What is it?” Buffy asked wrinkling her nose.

“Willow made dinner, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and carrots.” Spike replied “You usually love that Luv what’s up?”

“I don’t know…I was hungry now all of a sudden not so much…I think I’m just gonna have a bath and head to bed.” Buffy said yawning.

“You go on Luv, I’ll go tell the others, then I’ll be up to join you ok?”

“Spike you don’t have to …”

“This is not about have to luv. I want to. I love you and I want to take care of you. Will you please let me?” Spike begged.

Buffy looked into his eyes and could not resist. “Ok you can take care of me Spike.” She said with a huge grin. “I’ll start running my bath…see you in a few.” She said giving Spike a passionate kiss.

“Buffy you have been sick for two weeks…don’t you think….aren’t you concerned? You’ve never been this sick this long before.” Willow said concerned.

“Will, relax. I am not even really that sick, just feeling a little yucky.” Buffy said shrugging.

“I still think you should go to the doctor.” Willow said firmly.

“Ok mom, I’ll make an appointment.” Buffy said smiling.

“Buffy I’m sorry I’m just concerned.”

“I know Willow. Thank you for being so concerned.” Buffy said with a small smile.

“What do you think Spike? Do you think I should go?” Buffy asked hesitantly.

“Yeah Luv, I’ll go with you if you want.”

“Please Spike? I really want you there.”

“Course luv.”

“Miss Summers ….how long has it been since your last period?” Dr Collings asked.

“Uh…I don’t know I don’t really keep track of it. Why?” Buffy asked. He heart started pounding furiously in her chest.

“Well…Miss Summers you are pregnant.” Dr. Collings said softly.

“What? But that’s….oh god…”

“Luv…It is possible…now…” Spike trailed off.
