Author's Note: You guys remember all that Angel angst I mentioned… well guess what it’s a coming! SO BEWARE TO ALL YOU ANGEL LOVERS… I love him myself but for the purpose of this fiction we must cause more pain for the ensouled vampire. Also Buffy never slept with Parkee tre try to get her into bed and she refused so he lied about their sexual exploits, okay I think that’s it
Chapter Ten – Blind

True beauty was the only phrase to describe the two beings that lay on the bed of pure white linens. Her long blonde hair was intertwined with his thick brown locks. Their limbs interwoven together, their bodies looked relaxed and at peace as if though they were sleeping.
Both their eyes were shut, their eyelashes creating soft crescent shadows on their cheeks because of the low light. Dark and light lying together in perfect harmony, it was a beautiful site. They looked as if they were from another world, ethereal almost.
Except for the crimson liquid that coated both their bodies.
Angel stared at the bed as if the two bodies laying there weren’t really there at all. He was still coming back to himself from the past few minutes that had occurred and what he saw before him made his insides quake and his throat close. He was sure he could hear screaming in the background but he couldn’t bring himself to care.
At that moment he was fascinated with the color of Buffy’s lips, they were almost blue. They looked frighteningly like the color of Doyle’s true face. They were cracked and chapped and dried blood clung to them. He wasn’t sure what to make of it all. He wondered if he could ease his mind with the fact that after their bones had sna and and cracked underneath his hands that the pain and torture had been brief.
Far too brief he thought for a moment.
No, he couldn’t. Not really anyway. He laughed and as the sounded vibrated throughout the room it sounded hollow and dead. Just like he was, the intoxicating smell of blood fd thd the air and the vampire couldn’t help but notice the blood that was incrusted on his hands and embedded underneath his nails.
He looked back toward the bed and looked on in wonder. There his best friend laid his arms wrapped around his first and only love. Doyle’s usually pale alabaster skin was covered in purplish blue marks that marred his arms and neck. Though he face was buried into the Slayer’s neck with his arms wrapped around her tightly. Even to the end he never let her go, holding her close even as he gasped out his last breath.
Tears began to trickle down the vampire’s face as he began to take in his surroundings and what had really occurred there that night. He still couldn’t figure out where all the screaming was coming from and again he couldn’t bring himself to care but it seemed to be getting louder and more voices seem to join it.
For some strange and disturbingly morbid reason he needed to feel her warm body next to his one last time so he cli int into the bed and curled his body around hers. Though she never turned to him, she stayed locked in the arms of the Brachen demon that held her with such care. His tears slipped down his checks and onto hers but nothing he did seem to rouse her from the sleep she seemed to be in.
Then just as suddenly his sanity returned it left him again, he could hear her calling out for her lover just a few hours before. How she writhed beneath him pleasure, she continually called out his name; his true first name. Each and every chance the Halfling seemed to tell the Slayer how much he loved her, something he didn’t do often enough while she was still his.
Finally he turned and looked toward the doorway and there he found the Watcher and his friends with stakes and gun in hand. He merely gave them a fleeting glance before returning his attentions to the now cold and rigid body next to him. He never saw the bolt coming, he never felt the holy water splash against his skin, he never saw the darkness come and take him.
He never saw it coming… none of them did…
END
That's all I wrote folks! Its done or is it? I dunno there are little bunnies running around my head whispering the words sequel or even epilogue to me but I'm just not sure... Soooo let me know! Reveiw to let me know what you thought of it or if you want more.
The Buffy/Doyle ship is a very small one but I found it and fell in love so this was my small contribution to it. I hope I did it some justice!
