Chapter 9
"I had a wicked good time tonight B" Faith said as they walked back to Buffys house. "Your friends are pretty cool. Though Xanders kinda.."
"Sex obsessed,porny,perverted in a wholesome kinda way?" Buffy volunteered.
"Definitely all of the above"
"Soo..Can I ask you something?" Buffy spoke nervously. "I mean,you don't have to answer,but I just want to know."
"Sure,what ya wanna know? I'm an open book" the brunette replied.
"What do you expect from me,as your wife?" she said meekly,like a child who'd broken their toy. "What do you want me to do,pretend I don't exist,tell people,what?"
"What I expect,and want are two different things B. Ideally,I'd want a woman to be there for me,support me in my decisions but tell me if she thouht I was wrong. Someone who would want me for ME,not my priveledges. A girl with a nice personality,not elitist or predjudiced. Someone down to earth,who'll help ANYONE,regardless of the cost to themselves. And someone that'd let me love them unconditionally. No matter what"
Buffy stayed silent until she was sure Faith was done. "You expect all that fom me?"
"I said ideally,I don't expect anything from you,I've got no right to really. But if you need anything,to go to college or help with whatever,let me be there for that. Just cos we didn't ask for this,doesn't mean it can't work out,right?" she finished,and looked at Buffy,who was deep in thought beside her.
"That was..wow" she finally said.
"Yup,Faith Wilkins sensitive side finally come out. And to a girl I've known less than a full day. And the one I'm doomed to spend eternity with" The last part of her monologue was said in a playful yet reassuring manner,which calmed Buffy down a little.
Before they realised,they were both standing on the Summers' front porch.
"12:35,hope your folks don't think I've corrupted ya babe. I'd better get goin" She jestured to the Hummer blocking Buffys driveway. "If you'd like,I could pick you up tomorrow,show you around my home or whatever?"
"Yeah,that'd be nice. Thanks Faith." Buffy said quietly,captivated by her parteners eyes. "Before you go though" she whispered seductively,forcing Faith to lean in closely.
"It'll take more than 1 day to corrupt me" she said,licking Faiths earlobe once,before forcing their lips into a passionate embrace.
