I have a question. Someone emailed me asking that I write a sequel to “Animal,” My one and only completed story, please let me know what you think.

Also my other story “Nothing better than the blood of a slayer” is going to be continued, I know where I want to go with it I am just a little stuck at the moment, thanks to all of you for your continued support of that story.

Now on with this one.

The morning after

Buffy awoke to the sound of Spike purring softly beside her. He was wrapped around her body. ~ So this is what peace feels like when I’m awake. ~ She thought happily.

“Spike?” She whispered. “Spike…wake up…”

Spike continued to purr softly and pulled her closer. “Nope.” He growled. “Just gonna hold you all day.”

“Spike we can’t stay in bed all day.” She giggled. “Dawn is coming home sometime today.”

“Oh.” He sighed. “I’m just…not ready to let you go.” He murmured.

“Well I can promise you we will return to bed later. But don’t you want to get out of bed and do something?” She asked “You’ve been in bed for over a week now, and by your performance last night I know you’re strong enough to walk.” She lay her head gently against him.

“Well…we don’t have to get out of bed just yet do we?” He asked running his fingers through her hair.

“Mmm. What did you have in mind?” She asked brushing his already hardened cock with her fingertips. “You’re ready already?” She asked surprised.

Spike flipped her before she knew what was happening and licked over the mark he made on her neck. Buffy shivered in pleasure. “Yes Spike…take me…make me yours…” She said softly.

Spike chose to ignore those words. ~ She can’t be asking me to claim her. I won’t. Not until she tells me she loves me. She doesn’t know what would happen if I make her mine. ~ Spike thought to himself. Instead he thrust three fingers inside her slick core and found her g-spot.

Spike was having a nap and Buffy was in the living room watching TV when Dawn came bounding into the house. Immediately Buffy felt nervous. ~ What if she doesn’t understand? ~ She worried silently.

“Dawnie…I have to talk to you ….It’s about Spike.” Buffy stammered nervously.

“Is he ok?” She asked worriedly. “You didn’t stake him did you?” She asked suspiciously.

“No, he’s fine. I didn’t stake him.” She sighed softly. ~ I didn’t think this would be so hard. “I…I decided to give Spike and I a chance. We’re dating.” Buffy smiled uncertainly at her sister.

“What?” Dawn screamed. She ran to Buffy and grabbed her in a crushing embrace. “Oh Buffy…I am so happy!!! My best friend and my sister.”

“Dawn…need to breathe….” Buffy croaked.

“Oh sorry.” She laughed and let Buffy go. Dawn danced around the living room. “I can’t believe it. Thank you Buffy. For giving him a chance. He loves you so much.” Dawn smiled happily.

“I know.” Buffy smiled.

“Hey bit, thought I heard the pounding of teenaged feet.” Spike said coming into the living room after waking from his nap.

“Spike! Oh my god. I am so happy for you. You and Buffy.” She said squeezing him tightly. “She’s so lucky to have someone who loves her like you do.”

“Thanks Bit.” Spike hugged her back and smiled. She finally let him go and watched with glee as Spike made his way over to Buffy and kissed her softly on the lips.

Buffy smiled at him when they broke the kiss. “Nice to see you out of bed.” She said quietly.

“Hope to see you in bed soon.” He leaned over and whispered in her ear. Buffy blushed down to her roots.

“Let’s go Slayer, get your gorgeous arse down here.” Spike yelled from the bottom of the stairs. He rolled his eyes at Dawn. “Does she always take this long to get ready?” He asked.

“Not usually. Only on special occasions.” Dawn shrugged.

Buffy walked slowly down the stairs. She was sheathed in a tight black dress, stopping just above the knee. She had on long black boots that left only her knees exposed. She reached the bottom of the stairs and did a little twirl showing the backless part of the dress.

Spike whistled softly. “You are gorgeous.” He said taking in her golden flowing curls that reached just below her breasts. He reached for her and pulled her in to his embrace. Spike kissed her so softly Buffy felt weak at the knees. She had to hold on to him for support.

“Ok can we finally get going?” Dawn asked anxiously. “I hope the scoobies are there, they’re gonna freak.” Dawn said excitedly. She turned and walked out the door missing both of their reactions to her words.

Buffy stiffened. ~ They have no right to freak! ~ She thought angrily.

Spike felt Buffy stiffen in his embrace. ~ She’s not going to tell them. ~ He thought sadly. Spike held the door open for Buffy and followed her through.

They walked to the bronze listening to Dawn’s tales of school.

Buffy saw her friends sitting at the table laughing and having a good time. She made her way over and took a seat. “Hey guys.” She said happily.

“Hey Buff…you’re looking pretty chipper for someone who has a dead guy sleeping in her basement.” Xander said snidely.

Buffy cringed inwardly. “Hey guys.” Dawn said approaching the table. She dragged Spike over by the hand. Dawn took a seat and the only chair that was left was right beside Buffy.

“Hey Spike, nice to see you walking around.” Willow said softly, seeing the sadness in his eyes.

“Thanks Red. ‘S nice to be walking around.” He murmured. “Thank god I didn’t break my back, wouldn’t have liked having to sit in a wheelc aga again.”

Buffy smiled sadly. ~ Yeah, the wheelchair *I* put you in. ~

“I’m gonna go get a beer can I get anyone anything?” Spike asked getting to his feet. He had to put some distance between him and Buffy before he gave away her secret and grabbed her hand or kissed her.

“I’m good.” Willow replied.

“Me too.” Xander said

“I still have some thanks.” Anya said smiling at him.

“No, I’m good.” Tara said smiling shyly.

Buffy couldn’t wait till he looked at her. She was almost bouncing in her chair in anticipation. “I’ll have a coke please sweetheart.” Buffy said loudly. She grabbed him by his lapels and pulled him in for a kiss. “Thanks.” She smiled.

Spike couldn’t contain his smile. “No problem Luv, anything else?” He asked pulling her close.

“Nah…unless you want to share a blooming onion?” She smiled up at him, looking into his eyes and not caring what her friends thought.

“Be right back.” He murmured. Spike floated to the bar on cloud nine to get his love’s order.

Buffy looked up into the shocked faces of her friends. Dawn was smiling brightly. The rest of them looked like fish out of water. “Are you *all* trying to catch flies?” She joked.

“Buffy?….are you ok?” Xander asked. “You’re under a spell again aren’t you?”

“You know Xander, that’s just what Spike asked when I told him I wanted to be with him.” Buffy smiled happily. “But no, no spell. Just me finally having opened my eyes and seeing the man Spike is.”

“But Buffy you hated him a few days ago.” Willow said softly how else but a spell could you…”

“Will…I thought I hated him, but I wouldn’t allow myself to see how much he loves me, how much he…has done in the past. Just because he’s a vampire doesn’t mean he’s evil anymore.” Buffy sighed. “Look, no matter what you guys say this is what I want and I am not going to make excuses for it. Spike is what I want right now. You can accept it or not, but it’s not going to change anything.”

Spike returned to the table just in time to hear what she had said. He placed the things on the table and turned to her. “Thank you Luv, you have no idea what it means to finally hear you say that.” He said softly.
