Remembering
Title: Remembering.
Author: Me.
Fandom: Angel/Dragonball Evolution.
Pairing: Spike/Shen Long, Bulma/Yamcha, Goku/Chi-Chi, Angel/Nina.
NOTES: I know that Shen Long, the dragon from the dragonballs, is supposed to be a guy. But this is a 'what if' posing that Shen Long is a girl. She decides to stay OUT of the dragon balls, answering the summons if it comes, and decides to go looking for Piccolo after he was defeated. She finds him, or more specifically...his soul, in the body of a man named William. Shen watches William become Spike, then approaches him while he's with Angel in LA. Then she disappears, reappearing at the 'final' battle. This first chapter will show her first appearance to Spike, the two of them 'bonding', Shen laughing at Spike's reaction to her calling him Piccolo. Spike seeing Shen for who she is, a girl who's lonely, instead of for WHAT she is, a spirit dragon. Lucky by Bif Naked will be featured in the next chapter, as a sort of 'Shen and Spike reuniting' and there will be Spike smoochies. When Shen returns, Goku, Chi-Chi, Roshi, Bulma and Yamcha are with her. Third chapter will have the Scoobies invited to the opening of Lorne's new nightclub, where a few of his clients...under W&H, are going to headline. Christian is two separate people in this; himself and Lindsay. Chapter three is the first song on the 'headliners' playlist, continuing until the end of the list....possibly...well, within reason. Not ALL the chapters are song-fic style, but certain ones will be. Fumbling Toward Ecstasy will be one of the song-fic headliners chapters, where Shen and Spike dance, the others observing. The two also dance to Addicted by Saving Abel. Master Roshi has Maneater dedicated to Shen.
Nina and Angel will join Spike and Shen on the dance floor during 'Say It Right'. Spike will kiss Shen during I'll Be, Buffy sees how happy Angel and Spike are and 'lets them go', so to speak.

Chapter One:
"You're worried about it."
Spike spun around, hearing the voice, finding himself unable to see who spoke.
"You are remembering..."
Spike saw an eerily familar orangish glow coming from the end of the alley. He slowly backpedaled, but still saw something coming out of the glow. He stopped when his back hit the chainlink fence he had jumped. When the almost blinding glow subsided, a girl walked out of the alley. It barely registered to Spike that she was completely nude, as he was too busy recognizing her. Her skin was a shining metallic gold, almost glowing orange underneath. Her eyes were a glowing blue, a voice in the back of his head...that sounded suspiciously like Andrew saying that her eyes were like the Fremen in Dune.
"I know you..." He started.
The girl snorted, "You should, Lord Piccolo, I was the one you tried to summon to take over the world."
Spike's mind rushed with the memories, his eyes widening in recognition, "Shen Long."
The girl nodded, darker gold hair moving like a liquid curtain.
"You can call me Shen," She smiled, her teeth gleaming white, with petite fangs.
Spike couldn't help but smirk at the situation. Shen Long, the very creature he tried to summon in the last life, was now standing before him and he didn't even try to call for her. Her...it just hit him like a mack truck. Shen Long, the spirit dragon, was a female. Spike found himself laughing, that all the monks in all the worlds would be devastated that their precious spirit dragon was a girl, not a male like they so long thought Shen Long to be. Shen Long raised a dark gold brow at the laughing vampire, knowing just what he was laughing at, but still found herself wondering all the same.
"All your little followers," Spike managed to say through the laughter, "would be right pissed to find out you're a girl."
Shen found herself laughing along with him, jumping when she felt a rain drop hit her shoulder.
"Well, shit..." She said to herself, "should have remembered clothes..."
Spike took his coat off and put it around her shoulders. Shen gave him a shy, but thankful, smile, unable to keep from smiling more at the genuine smile that she got in return. Shen got up on one of the crates and sat down.
"Shit..." She wobbled, feeling Spike catch her, "thanks, Piccolo..."
Spike groaned, "Do you HAVE to call me that..."
Shen cocked her head, then snickered, "Yup."
Spike glared at her, but Shen was completely unaffected. Spike got up on the crates next to her, pulling her closer to him, so that she had less chance of falling off.
"For an all powerful spirit dragon, you're rather clumsy, aren't you, pet?" Spike laughed.
Shen poked the vampire in the side, "So. I can still kick your ass any day of the week."
"Boy kicked my arse right quick, didn't he?" Spike laughed, the duo reminiscing.
Shen snorted, faint smoking curling out of her nostrils, "No shit, Piccolo, Goku not only kicked your ass, he handed it back to you afterwards."
Spike glared at Shen, poking her gently in the shoulder. Shen glared back and pushed Spike off the crates, laughing when he looked up at her from the ground, sitting back on his elbows.
"You are evil," He stated, getting up and brushing himself off, "bleeding dragon bint..."
Shen raised her golden brow at him once more, giving him that 'I can hurt you and you know it' look, along with an 'and it'll be permanent' lip purse.
"How is the little shit?" He changed the subject.
Shen chuckled and shook her head, "He and Chi-Chi hooked up after he whooped you...and he used the wish to resurrect Master Roshi."
Spike shook his head, rolling his eyes.
