This is my very first posting of any fanfic online. I look forward to any reviews and thank you all for any constructive guidance you might give.
This is a work of fiction of course, and none of the characters from Buffy, The Vampire Slayer belong to me. Nope, they belong to Mutual Enemy (Argh, Grrr) and Joss Whendon but I am only borrowing them for a little bit.
No money is being made from this peice of fiction although I do look forward to expanding my writing capabilities while making it.
Last but not least, bare with me, the good stuff (NC-17 rated material) is coming soon. I felt I needed to lay the ground work first, but don't worry it is coming...boy oh boy is it...heh heh heh.
1. Playing For The Home team
Walking along the sports field of UC Sunnydale, two friends discuss plans for the evening ahead, laughing companionably with each other as they reach their destination.
Climbing the bleachers the small blonde questions her friend, "So, why am I here again?" as she inspects the sixth teir before sitting down.
Smiling brightly as she bounces on her toes before settling next to the blonde, the redhead says,"Because you are the bestest best friend, ever! This is so cool, Buff! I mean who would've ever thought UCS would "OK" a lesbian softball team? and since I am currently on the market what better way to meet women?"
Chuckling softly at Willow's excited babble, Buffy says, "Right, so all to the good then...good for the school, good for your future lovelife, but again,"Why-am-I-here?? Oh, and thanks for the bestest best friend comment."
Still smiling, though not quite as brightly, Willow tells her worriedly, "Buffy, I need you here! Ya' know, in case some big butch chick named Mitch tries to include me in some after game fun against my will! You can go all Slayer on her acting like my tough girlfriend, or, or you could pretend to be my bodyguard, or, or..."
Laying a calming hand on her friend's arm to stop her very-quickly-becoming-panicky babble, Buffy says, "Wills, it's alright, I get it, and you're right...I am the bestest best friend ever."
Nodding her redhead animatedly, Willow says, "You are, and thanks, Buff!" before telling her, "Since Tara and I are back to being friends, I just get lonely sometimes. So, I figured it was time to get back into the game, ya' know?" Giving her friend a quick hug, Buffy nods in agreement and understanding saying, "You're welcome, Will. Now, lets scope out the chicks." causing Willow to giggle at her, possibly-not-so-straight-friend before turning with her to do just that.
