PROLOGUE
To save the vampire's soul
To keep the vampire whole
To White Knight's dread
He must wed the undead
He must first wed the one with the soul
For this ritual they must find the air's silver bowl
Mix their blood with soul's fall's first wine
Drink until keg is done and all shall be fine
The White Knight's second husband to be
A poet don't you see, but a bad one if ask me
Hair as white as snow, but a heart as black as coal
Gifted with the knight, he is your goal
For this ritual ye three must find when night's eye is blind
A sacred sword placed out of time, placed here in a bind
Only seen when night cannot see, mortal man can keep
If he has courage, then a reward he will reap.
Cut all three with the sword, let the blood run down
Until it turns all three stones to ruby red, on the pommel's gown
When that is, take the blood from the handle
Hold it over a black and red candle
Then speak these words, "Hetre Juta Kifnt", at the flame
Watch the blond, for he will faint in shame
For he is now whole, given a soul with a spell never to be broke
These three are bound for eternity until times final stroke.
The Knight must complete these many feats
Or dine upon dark Hades’ ghostly feast
Also to keep away Hades’ lance
You must do frequently Cupid's dance
You have to hurry
You have to scurry
You have until the next darkened sun
You haven’t yet even begun
Watch out for the betrayer among your cast
For when they appear it will be with fire's fury blast
If not handled just right
All will enjoy Hades’ desert that night
Giles closed the book of prophecies that the watcher's council had sent him. He knew who the two vampires were; in fact, he knows one of them quite well. It is his slayer's current boyfriend, the souled vampire, Angel, formerly known as Angelus, one fourth of the Scourge of Europe.
Spike, aka William the Bloody, is the other. Rumor had it that the reason he was called ‘the Bloody’ was because as a mortal he wrote bloody awful poetry. But Giles liked to believe it was because of his trademark - - the way he used railroad spikes on his victims.
As for the White Knight, he didn't have a clue, as none of his children fit the title. Whoever it was had better be able to fight though, because once Buffy, his slayer, found out the Knight had to marry her Angel, he might not make it to the wedding.
Giles had to hurry. He had to talk to Angel, find out who the White Knight was, find Spike, and figure out what exactly the night's eye was
