Disclaimer:
I do not own Buffy the Vampire Slayer (BtVS), nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
A Third Slayer
Author: Aislynn
Disclaimer: It’s not mine all of it belongs to Joss, and Mutant Enemy. I just fell in love with characters from the very first episode.
Summary: AU from the end of Season 3 of Buffy, not a Spuffy like my other stories. This introduces a new Slayer who I hope you like. This will include all characters and from the point the story starts everything will change after that.
Rating: NC-17
Chapter 1 – A Potential Rises
“Flat line!” Adele Wright’s voice echoed through the halls of Sunnydale’s emergency room. “We have a flat-line in room C.” Adele yelled again as she began to work on the dark-haired girl lying on the gurney. They had almost lost her when she was first brought in, but this one was a fighter she pulled through and Adele wasn’t about to loose her now. So young, she had a life to live, so much to look forward to.
“I am not going to loose you too.” Adele vowed just Dr. Peters came in with two other nurses. They worked for minutes and then just as suddenly as it was lost her heart began to beat steadily once again.
“Call me if there is any more trouble.” Dr Peters smiled at Adele glancing down at the helpless girl on the gurney.
“I will Dr.” Adele brushed back a lock of the girl’s hair. No one had come by for her yet, and she had been at the hospital for a few hours, it was as if she was all alone.
“We’ve got another one.” Dr Peter’s voice called out and Adele headed toward the sound of his voice. This time the young girl was young, petite, and blond. “Neck trauma,” Dr. Peter’s ground out. “She’s lost a lot of blood well need to perform a blood transfusion.”
Adele nodded and went to work yet again, though Sunnydale wasn’t a thriving metropolis their ER received quite a lot of traffic it seemed.
Moscow, Russia
There was an eerie silence to the night, as the moon cast the landscape in various shades of silver.
Lying within the warmth of her bed lost within the pleasures of her dreams the potential was unaware that she was being called. There was no watcher or council watching over her, for they were unaware of her existence. Born in a hospital in Belgium at midnight, her parents left just hours after her birth and they had never stayed anywhere since for more than a few weeks at a time.
Synn Colton sat straight up in her bed gasping for breath, one moment she had been lost in her dreams the next her body felt as if it were on fire. Taking deep breaths and calming herself she glanced about the room it felt as if someone or something was within it with her. One thing that had been drilled into her head was to always be aware of your surroundings.
Sliding her legs over the edge of the bed she stood up and found that her legs were a little wobbly. Making her way to her windows she opened one staring out at the landscape before her. She liked Moscow, but they would only be here for a few more days, then they were off to Africa for a job there.
Her fingers found the sliver Celtic cross given to her after her mother’s passing when she was just six. It had been her father and her for a two years after that until the line of work he and her mother had chosen had finally taken them both. Leaning her head against the frigid glass she sighed remembering the early lessons drilled into her head. They trained her well from the very start her mother had been a Merc and her father an assassin. At 8 she was already well trained in martial arts, and with several weapons.
Synn’s guardianship fell to Adrian Tremont, her parent’s boss of sorts and once she moved under his roof her training & education was kicked up a notch.
Closing her eyes she felt the heat that coursed through her beginning to fade, and she knew she needed her sleep tomorrow was a big day.
At 16 she was already a full fledged operative for Adrian.
Even before she was gifted with the skills of a Slayer she was a formidable weapon.
