Something else I was wondering about was the language barrier. From what I read, only Buffy learned how to speak Lonnie's language, which I don't think you mentioned what it was that she spoke. Lonnie's bound to feel scared and confused when she finally coherent. She wouldn't even be able to talk to anyone. Are you going to make Buffy be translator? And I'm also wondering about the shocked reactions that Buffy's family might give when they find out that Buffy actually learned another language. It should be funny.
