I love the way you hooked me into your erotic tale and from it emerged a story. I simply adore it. I just started to read on this site and therefore I just discovered your story. You are very talented and I will be sure to read anything you write. I am not very good with words myself but it does not that I cannot see your gift as a writer. The reason your story is so interesting is the actual plot and the way you make me feel after each chapter. This last chapter was touching and sad. I do believe that Buffy is so wonderful in this story. Spike is also a victim in this story but lets face it, he is a little naive himself. Which is quiet believable for this era. I will be waiting impatiently for the updates and I promise to always let you know how wonderful you are doing.

I've read the first four chapters and am very impressed. I love a good historical story, but most of them are either too short or written very poorly. My main gripe with them is that the characters tend to be clearly twenty-first century in attitude and speech, and that historical accuracy is glaringly missing. Zippers in the eighteenth century, that sort of thing. Anyway, you really put a lot of attention to language and speech patterns that more realistically reflect the period of the story (and whether they are perfect is not a problem for me, it's the atmosphere you set by the language you use and put in their mouths that is important and you do that exceptionally well. I also like the plot itself. You're doing a fantastic job with this and I look forward to reading more of it as you post it. And I sincerely hope you will continue to write in this fandom. Good writers are always welcome and sought out. Thanks for sharing your story with us. :-)

I know there's a high smut content to this story, but smut alone is not enough to draw me in. I like plot, action and character development.

This story has the makings of a very clever psychological intrigue. How cunning and manipulative can Drusilla be to keep her pet sex-slave and potential revenue stream? How desperate does William/Spike have to be before he starts making stupid decisions and acting upon them? How good a friend to William - and ultimately Buffy - is Clem that he will keep putting himself out to help the foolish and the forlorn? How strong is Buffy that she can rise above her obvious attraction to Spike and take control of their impending marriage and retain control of her own finances, or will she end up at Spike's... and Drusilla's... mercy, struggling to retain a shred of dignity in the face of Spike's continued betrayal of their betrothal with Drusilla and her menagerie of degenerates? How will poor Xander react? What of Joyce's ill health? So much at stake. Makes you wonder... just how much is an exciting sex life really worth, eh?
