woooow, i've never read a spuffy story where spike was so..mysterious ...........and not forward. i love it, great change to see buffy take the steps. you havent updated for a while. UPDATE!

LOL... In fact, I didn't invent Spike's method, I got my information from a website called "How to survive a bear attack" (http://www.arcticwebsite.com/BearSurvival.html).
When I read about the legend there, it was just too tempting, had to put Spike in such a situation.
Of course you're correct: when in bear country, talk to local authorities about bear conditions first and stay away from bears when you can.
