Damn! Ok, so Buffy and Faith are going to fight it out before finally becoming reluctant allies right? But honestly, Faith? Glad she finally realized what's going on with Willow but I don't know how she's going to make it up to Cordelia.

Wow, two great chapters! If I hadn't read it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed there was a way for you to make this story any angstier. Well, silly me - you did! I'm curious and look forward to finding out what Giles' "nut job" plan is. I've got a feeling it somehow involves Cordy... ;-)

As for 4 of your stories being on my favorite list at FFnet: After you wrote me that message, I checked my list 'cause I couldn't believe I only had 4 of your stories on it. Let me promise you this: Once you've finished "The Slayer", you'll have 5 entries on my favorite's list... ;-)

Keep the great updates comin', if possible with shorter delays between the updates!

Damnit, can Willow die a painful death? Or can Faith see her for what she really is? A bitch? I mean seriously, Cor doesn't deserve the way she's treated by everyone but Giles. The least she deserved was Faith listening to her and not outright laughing at her.

Yeah... kids... that's about all I have to say about the new chapter, aside from "You're back, how great is that!?" If these were your average teenagers, the world really would be doomed. Good thing they're not just regular teenagers... ;-) Interesting new way of having Faith and Cordy fighting, I also liked the end with Faith spanking Cordy in public. The whole "Cordy submitted to Faith" idea from the earlier part of the story kinda got lost in the shuffle a bit in the last couple of chapters, so picking it up in an other context is a nice treat for us readers.

Thanks for posting a new chapter, hopefully there'll be more in the near future!

Geeez, take it easy on the angst, will ya?!? I mean, how much more angst can one possibly put into two chapters?! Chapter 30A is just reaaaaaaaally great angst-stuff, I don't think there's a way to write in any better. Chapter 30B has a lot more humor in it - the guy in the hospital bed next to Faith - , yet also takes on a much darker tone towards the end of the chapter. That's just so you, hinting towards a happy end around the middle of the chapter with the gang finally coming clear on all fronts, only to bring the hammer down with the next overdose of drama.

Pretty convenient, though, how quiet Faith's roommate was during the whole "we tell everything" phase. Not a peep from him, not after Faith got out of bed, not after Cordy demanded an answer or went off, nothing. It would have ruined the flow of that passage, I'll give you that, so it's quite comprehensible why you wrote it the way you did.

I can't shake the feeling we're getting closer to the showdown. The cat is out of the bag on Cornell, most likely leading up a research and preparation phase for the gang and some ackward moments for Cordy on all fronts (her dad, her own heritage, her role in the big picture, her gut feeling that Faith isn't telling her everything) before all hell breaks loose and we get to watch things unfold...

Yet another great addition to a wonderful story. Please don't take as long before you post the next chapter(s)!

All the best,

Emanuel

Woo-hoo! A new chapter! Finally!!! And what a chapter it is!!! Amazing stuff! Touching, creepy - especially Cornell, he really is 12 grades scary - , surprising, intriguing... And of course you even threw in the emotional distress in the relationship of the lead characters. Plus, it will be interesting where Buffy will fit in at the end - good or evil...? And what will happen to that little rat Merrick...? So much stuff to look forward to... :-)

I know I've praised you on different occasions for your character portrayals in your different stories, you really do write amazing leads, but there's still room for more applause: I think you write an outstanding Cordelia! The Cordelia of "The Slayer" is probably the best interpretation of the character I've ever read. It's captivating, terrific writing!

Please don't wait another 8 months before you post the next chapter!

Best,

Emanuel

P.S.: You've re-posted "Summer of Faith" recently - is it the big rewrite you've been talking about for quite some time now? Or did you just make some minor adjustments?

Ahhhh, our dear friend Mr. Travers. What would a good fanfiction story be without our favorite stuck up, smart-ass bad-guy watcher? See, I knew there's more to come for this story!

By the way: thank you for your feedback on my feedback... :-) I really appreciate it! I already had figured out for myself that you must be using a different timeline for this story, it became obvious in a later chapter of the story. I just didn't bother to include my "enlightment" in a feedback post. It's a good thing for me as a big fan that you've got a couple more chapters already finished and ready for posting - as for the dry spells you've experienced while writing this story: I know 'em, believe me, I know 'em! Sneaky little bastards, these dry-spells: sneak up on you without you noticing anything and suddenly you're under their thrall, not able to write anything coherent. I had to deal with some dry spells of my own while writing my Doktorate... I feel your pain, so to speak... :-)

I have a hard time believing that there isn't much more happening plotwise in this story - I suppose that depends on one's definition of what's plot and what's not. In my eyes you've brought up so many (supporting) storylines and characters that it's almost impossible to simply kill the big bad and be done with it. Well, SOMEBODY might do that, but that's not your style - and waaaay below your level - of solving stories and plotlines. If I go through what has already been set in motion in "The Slayer" there are many more or less minor aspects you'll have to deal with: Merrick, Harmony the Vamp, Buffy/Faith, Travers, Angel, Spike, Cornell Chase, Cordy being half-demon (at least that's what I expect), Cordy/Faith troubles... To me that sounds like some really good stuff - and I'm sure I'm even forgetting some things!

Oh, I did read your two "Buffy finds her place" pieces, reviewed them, too. I do hope you'll continue it somewhere down the line (maybe while having a "Slayer" dry spell...?)! The same obviously goes for the whole "... of Faith" saga, though that's a completely different beast. With so much already having happened, I assume it would be a lot harder and more complex to write than a few new chapters of "Buffy finds her...". If you should continue the "... of Faith" saga please post a short recap of the previous parts in the prologue of the first chapter, otherwise I will have to read the whole saga again (not that that would be a bad thing). I've read so much of your stuff by now I sometimes forget what happened in which story... :-)

Again, really looking forward to the next chapters!

Ok, that's three really long chapters in three days... Guess you've got them on a shelf somewhere...? :-) As for the feedback: By now you know how much I love your writing, and chapter 27 is no exception. I guess there's much more to come in this great story and I look forward to reading every single word of it!

Wow, 26 is quite the chapter! Merrick is quite the storyteller, isn't he? And the confrontation between Cornell and Faith? Just great! Faith now knowing all the facts will have a hard time figuring out what to do next. And I'm so looking forward to the first meeting between Faith and Cordy, now that Faith knows Cordy's dad is the big bad.

By the way: two chapters in two days? Now that's what I call updating! Keep 'em coming!
